@@zearcjustice7837 Yu gi oh game mechanics are pretty simple it's due to card's power creep on why it's complicated. The issue for me in vanguard is that mechanics are crazy.
I found a stack of Bermuda Triangle V Premium cards in the trash at my local game store years ago and recently decided to throw together two decks just to try and learn the game and play with a buddy or two. This was very helpful as for the longest time I was so confused as to what a ride deck was and now I realize I don’t need it.
There's plenty of budget-friendly decks in Standard (there's over 70 ridelines after all), so there's no reason why a new player should start with V Premium instead of Standard.
@@ZhadTheRad you can make any deck budget (i.e. bad) by not putting the expensive cards in it. But if you think playing Baromagnes without Brainwash or Eva without Results or Flagburg without Inlet is budget, you’re just lying to yourself. A budget deck needs to be able to compete still
as someone who started the game a week ago with standard, this was really helpful. This game honestly has a problem with rules documentation, since you basically spin the wheel when looking up something as a new player. The rules on most sites and videos often times dont specify which format they are from, so you have to guess what is correct or not (also, only having okish simulators that are manual doesnt help...). Also, is it bad that i am just straight up ignoring every grade 4 and card that says "stride" as a new player? i have no clue how they work XD
Well it's cool Vanguard is embracing alternate formats but I honestly just want that classic mode from Zero again. I know I'm just a boomer who is like those people who want to only play Yugioh GOAT format and sound whiny but it was the best for me...Until Lock....and Ex Decks. XD That just ran me out of the game cause it wasn't as fun to go "Daiyusha!" or even to use Gold Paladin formation to outflank and link up together for a partnered attack.
I’m an even older Vangaurd boomer 😂. I use to play with the original mechanics. From the original season all the way until G. Miss the game so I’m going to get back into it but wow, it’s a lot to take in without watching the show for easier understanding.
If im not mistaken than Standard will always shift to the newest seasonal mechanic. Like V used to be standard at the time it was released and then persona ride came in with a new season and anime, which now became standard and the V generation got V-Premium so ppl. can still play and enjoy that format. Premium is the same but with the G-Generation i think. You can correct me if im wrong
I'm trying to get back to the game and I'm from G era. And damn everything so far is so confusing like what's the difference between V and other stuff like overdress etc
I say Standard in 2023 will have at least five to seven standard booster releases now that Bushiroad collapsed Lyrical Monestario booster cards into standard booster releases and Special Series.
My favourite to play in Cardfight Area during G was Harri, Rising Nova and Scharcrot (I can never spell this name). I won 98% of the times when I use these decks. Unfortunately the cards for Rising Nova is hard to find to buy for me since it’s a very underrated deck
Hey I would like to know how sleeving works here I know I can use different sleeves for my main deck and g-deck, but is it a must to use a different design sleeve for the imaginary card from the two decks, or can I use the same design sleeves for the imaginary card and g-deck, great video btw.
Man i remember cardfights most op clan is the link joker and their reverse cards, damn those locks ive hated it the most 😂😂 ive been trying to get back into cardfight but i think this will be hectic 😂
I feel like returning, any tips or recommendations? I just have a very old Legion, Stride and limit break decks. Tho this video and good and make me understand how the game works now
Fun fact there is a format called the Italian format that is now dead (the format closed this summer) this format have 2/3 of G era cards and you can use the ride deck, like the one from standard
At the moment I really enjoy all the formats! My favorite era was break ride era cause they kept releasing amazing cards for each clan and a lot of my favorite units came from that era! G Set 6 was also really fun cause I mained Altmile and Victor at the time which they gave so much good support that’s ye for both decks :)
I recently got into the game with a friend and i wanna try out a nubatama deck. Is that possible in standard or can i only play it in premium or v-premium
First of all only Nations are Standard, sorry. Concerning Premium and V-Premium, all cards are able to be played in Premium and a lot of them are also available in V-Premium. As the video stated just look at the card and if it has a little V in the bottom left its able to be played in V-Premium, though sets VPR/0001, V-SD01/### and V-SD02/### don´t have the V but are treated as such. Hope that helped.
Anything can be played in Premium. Unlike other card games, a card with the same name as another card is treated semi-differently. Semi, because, while you can't have more than 4 cards with the same name in the deck, whatever skills, abilities, and other things they have printed on the card are set-in-stone. I have no idea what you're saying in the second question.
@majdkiswani8657 To play standard, u use cards with the D logo To play V-Prem, u use cards with the V logo To play Prem, u can use any cards Therefore, u can't stride or use imaginary gifts in standard BUT, u can use OverTrigger and Imaginary gift in Premium
Thank you so much, man. This helps me so much in getting back into the game

It wasn't as complicated before V and Standard/ Overdress came out lol

what probaby isn't mentioned is the premium format's Stride mechanic is technically available in Standard. but only very specific decks can use it.

I'd like to see a grassroots format that's v-premium but with a rideline.
Technically Astral Poets has a rideline from Becrux of Stratification to Arcturus of Fervent Will to a grade 3 Astral Poet.
