Stan, this was version 2 of Roxy Music when they came back after a break with a smoother more commercial sound, to hear them at their best you need to check out their early 70's material, try "Out of the Blue", "Editions of You" or the first track on their first album "Remake/Remodel"(1972).

Nice reaction. Bryan Ferry, the lead singer, is one of the coolest dressing, stylish guys you're ever going to see with a band. Love his trademark vibrato singing style. Roxy Music is a highly influential British art-rock band that gets under the radar for some reason but which is highly influential with many other artists, David Bowie comes to mind as an example. I'm hardly an expert on this group; I simply know of them. I suggest you check out the song "Both Ends Burning" as a classic Roxy Music song. Probably their most well known single is "Love is a Drug".

Actually, a very important band historically. They represent the move from 70s to 80s musical styles. Other songs are Slave to Love, Let's Stick Together, Is Your Love Strong enough and many others.

Brian Ferry was the smoothest, him and David Bowie, the coolest
Stan, you need to, must, react to Brian Ferry's version of Jealous Guy.
    Please

Roxy Music were a big band from the 70s & early 80s before Bryan Ferry went onto a solo career, you should listen to Roxy Musics cover of John Lennons Jealous Guy which they released as a tribute to John after his death,it's great IMO

It's a group, but it's a guy: Bryan Ferry. I recommend an album called Mamouna, the title track is excellent

Roxy fans will tell you that if Avalon is your favorite album you don't really like Roxy Music. That being said, this is my favorite album.

That is such a bollocks thing to say by the fandom. All that matters is that you like Roxy Music, favorite album be damned

One of my favorite songs! Haunting! I don't like the video though. Girl is too made-up and hate her dress.

That's the 80s for you, mate. If you want to see her with less make up watch the film Young Sherlock Holmes. She is a great beauty.
