This album is an absolute gem to listen to as well as Roxy Music’s most accomplished album. Sexy slick minimalistic urban music on all tracks impeccably and tastefully arranged and produced. Yanick Étienne’s voice solo (recorded on her second try) is mesmerizing and bewitching. One of my stranded-on-an-island albums I just can’t put down.
His music is as much his vibe as his voice. He has a beautiful song with David Gilmore of Pink Floyd on guitar from the amazing Tom Cruise/Tim Curry movie Legend. The song “Is your love strong enough”.
Roxy Music's Country Life alternates between majestic, and glamorous, elegant pop/rock. "The Thrill of It All," showcases their instrumental execution and their textured, songwriting. And, the rock of "All I Want Is You" and "Prairie Rose" to the elegant, string-laced pop of "A Really Good Time," Country Life is filled with thrilling songs. And not a bad album cover.
This whole album "Avalon" is incredible. I used to listen to the whole album start to finish while I painted (art work). It was so soothing and inspiring. ❤
and also, this may be a band that is best watched live. they are incredibly talented and tight! the "apollo theater concert", and "the rock and roll hall of fame induction" performances would be good ones. they are one of our favorite bands, period. didn't even become known in the USA until "avolon", and then they broke up!! BRYAN FERRY'S solo work is very notable- his rendition of the stone's "sympathy for the devil" is fantastic.
the moment you became my favorite reactor. please do not hesitate to find a few more tunes from this CRAZILY UNDERRATED BAND (in America. In Europe, they are big.). "Out of the blue"- "My only love" - "More than this" would be a few suggestions. GREAT CHOICE!!!
Hey JMBOY. Have you reacted to the band YES yet ? I didn't notice any videos for them. I'd recommend the *studio* versions of the songs 'Yours Is No Disgrace' 'Starship Trooper' 'Roundabout' to start with. I really love your reactions ! Keep up the great work ! Subscriber here.
Bryan Ferry is the lead singer, he has numerous hits on his own. Try Let’s Stick Together or The Price of Love, and a John Lennon song Jealous Guy which he did as Roxy Music.
Always enjoyed Bryan Ferry. If 007 was a singer, his name would be Bryan Ferry...Smooth, sophisticated, suave to beat all heck. Ferry had the voice and the moves to back it up.
I like Roxy Music's first five albums. After their 1975 'SIREN" album I lose interest, and this particular song and album are not representative of the majority of the bands output.I'd recommend some of their earlier stuff like "Out of The Blue' 'Both Ends Burning' 'Prairie Rose' etc
Great 80's prog rock...or is it jazz/rock? Roxy Music is music from my youth and wow, Bryan Ferry is interesting as f$%k if you get the chance to hear him interviewed. Not your typical rock star by a long mile...
I lovvvveee Roxy Music. My favorite song of theirs is "MORE THAN THIS" ❤❤. I went to their concert. It was incredible. Bryan Ferry is great.
This is a very good album. Roxy music is worth checking out. Always liked the song Love is the drug.
And don't forget this video for Avalon was directed by Ridley Scott
I dance like no one is looking every time I hear this. Nice reaction.
Both Ends Burning
More Than This
Dance Away
The Strand
Thank you for this. One of my favorite albums of all time. The whole thing is worth listening to.
Yayyyy!!!! it is about time someone reacts to this one. What a chill vibe, so relaxing
RIGHT!!??
Although I can't say I was a Roxy music fan, Bryan Ferry had a nice voice. Another song where his vocals are great is More Than This.
JMboy, the whole album is such a great vibe, so good it's criminal......

I haven't heard this for a long time. Very nice.
early 80s pretty sounding pop song
This is my dog's namesake, Roxy. Love their music. Bryan Ferry is the singer and he has solo works, too.
I love '80s Roxy Music.
This one and "The Same Old Scene" are probably my favourites.
His music is as much his vibe as his voice. He has a beautiful song with David Gilmore of Pink Floyd on guitar from the amazing Tom Cruise/Tim Curry movie Legend. The song “Is your love strong enough”.
Gilmore also played guitar on "Windswept" on the Boys and Girls album
Try Roxy Music - Mother of Pearl - My favorite.
sweet chill soundscape--Love It!!!!!
Robert Palmer - "Addicted To Love"
Be sure to check out "Love is the Drug" from the 1975 album 'Siren' and "Jealous Guy", a single recorded in 1981 as a tribute to John Lennon.
"More Than This," is a really good Roxy Music song. It has more of a New Wave sound, which I like a lot.. Thanks for your reactions, and kind energy.

New song to me, but sounds really good.

Another one with great voice and music is Chris Isaak. Wicked Game is what made him famous. Studio cut is better than live.
Yes, that is s cool tune.
The "Queen Of Disco".... Donna Summer - MacArthur Park (from VH1 Presents Live & More Encore!)
New here / roxy music 🎶
The WHO - "Who Are You"
I Didn’t Mean To Turn You On by Robert Palmer is something you might enjoy
When Will There Be A Harvest
Sneaking Sally Through The Alley

I looked for Don Henley - "Dirty Laundry" I know you did it, Gone? I copied it so I'll watch it from your folder.
Yep got blocked!
@@JMBOYTV BUMMER, glad I have it, and the one that was a Cover band that you learned quickly about and removed it. Have a Spectacular Day.
Alice Cooper - "No More Mister Nice Guy"
Traffic - Dear Mr Fantasy - Live - 1972

Has anyone even heard of this song?
Never, but I'm not really into "Glam Rock"
I was the one who suggested it. The whole album is good 👍
It's got 30 million views so someone must have heard of it.
I have, and I also love "Jealous Guy".
