I have had melanoma skin cancer, so started taking a niacinamide supplement. Shortly afterwards, I experienced a lot of dizziness. I learned that niacinamide can lower your blood pressure. I already have low blood pressure, so I stopped the niacinamide and the dizziness stopped.

I started taking Niacinamide 500mg twice a day for 6 years now. I have not had any new skin cancers or acnetic keratosis since. I will take it twice a day for the rest of my life.

It is important for anyone who has hypothyroidism or any other health issue to clear with your doctor or specialist any vitamin/supplement you are thinking of taking, first. Many supplements can hinder the medication that you are taking for serious health issues. Thanks again, Angie! 🌞

Just here to say thanks! Awhile back you mentioned Glucosamine & Chondroitin for joint health/pain. I'm your age. My hands started hurting badly over abt a year- took awhile to realize it was prob arthritis. It was getting so bad it woke me up in the am, and I could barely open childproof caps. Started taking G&C with daily meds. Didn't even think about it again until I realized about a month later my hands didn't hurt any more! Like not even a little! I know that sounds extreme, but I changed nothing else in my life but adding G&C. Unreal! I'm a science research nerd like you- nothing definitive in research (but promising) yet this actually helped me! Still need to discuss w my doc (yes, I should've done first!), and hoping for a big👍Thanks so much💜

Another supplement that works great for joint pain/inflammation is turmeric/curcumin. I notice a huge difference when I run out. It’s important to take a formula with black pepper in it, which helps the body absorb it. I take the Mega Foods Extra Strength.

I will say that I was without my Vital Proteins for about a month (just didn't get around to ordering it) - and I did notice a difference in my hair (more hair in my brush). I buy that exact collagen powder, but I get double doses he size on Amazon. It’s not about 10$ more than the small size. On Amazon Prime week I bought 10 for about $28 each…the double size!!!! So I’m set for almost a year!!! Hope they do it again this year! Less than half price❤❤❤

I don’t know how typical this is but I often have unwanted side effects from supplements. Collagen gives me headaches and makes me sleepy (in fact I use it as a sleep aid sometimes) B1 makes me very hungry, Resveratrol stopped me sleeping and made me feel weird. Adaptogens made me brain foggy. So I am very wary of them and take note of how I feel on anything new.
I take NR, Biosil and a probiotic daily. Biosil does what collagen does without the side effects (and also helps bones) and has improved my skin nails and hair. NR boosts my exercise performance and energy. I take probiotics as I had so many courses of antibiotics for dental surgery in the last few years. I also supplement Estrogen, which is a wonder drug! I am 70 and a young woman will not need half of these.
So my message is to be wary. Your body may not react well.

Interesting that you swear by the glucosamine combo. I went to a rheumatologist about my joint pain and she said the research shows that it's useless, but she encouraged me to take the fish oil. But glad to know it's working for you!

1/2 a scoop of collagen is actually one serving, I have a kitchen scale . That’s how I found out, so if you take a full scoop that’ll equal two servings. Hope that helps!

Thanks Angie! I was all excited about that collagen supplement. 2 scoops a day for 3 months. No difference. Waste of money. If you want glowy skin get on the floor and do leg lifts until your skin is burning. Works for me. I’m 67 and get compliments on my complexion all the time. OR lemon juice drank with any high quality protein. Tip: McDonalds is NOT an example of high quality protein people.

I ♥️ that you research what you put in and on your body! I have a connective tissue disorder affecting my collagen. My specialist mentioned high doses of vitamin C, 1-4 GRAMS/daily, may help with collagen synthesis. I started taking 2 GRAMS non-synthetic food based vitamin C this week. 🤞

I take a lot of supplement also. I would like to suggest to take a look at Andrew Lessmans Vitamins from procap laboratories. All he does is make vitamins located in Nevada, all solar powered, with no carbon footprint. So many supplements are contracted out to facilities that make all kinds of things. May I also add that all of his are in a capsule form, which means you are getting pure ingredients. No fillers, binders or additives which is needed in making a rock hard tablet. Before taking his every fish oil I would take would make me belch with a fishy after taste. he has anything you are looking for.

First, I LOVE the sweater you're wearing!! You're also looking beautiful as ever. Your neck does look like it's a bit firmer (imo). I'm so happy you're updating this because I started taking a lot of what you mentioned in your last supplement video and have loved the results ❤️ especially the phytoceramides! Now that the humidity in my house is around 62%, my face is no longer a desert landscape (/thanks to your recommendation to get humidifiers) I also love your honesty - you're not claiming that these are all miracle supplements but the fact that you do all the research and play guinea pig for all of us is very much appreciated. Lots of love to you!

Hi Angie, maybe look further into resveratrol. I recommend watching Dr. Brad Stanfield's videos about the subject. Apparently, resveratrol may not only be useless for antiaging but there was also a study that showed it was detrimental for cholesterol levels.

I take cod liver oil - it has vit A & D and plus omega 3. I also have magnesium and sometimes alpha-gpc if I need more focus. I’ve started taking tart cherry juice for sleep, heart, brain, etc antioxidants. And Vital Collagen peptides but mine is 1 scoop because it’s bovine. Vital it seems is cheaper in Australia, that’s a change. All the rest I get from diet and exercise

Zen Principle collagen is less pricey and marine hydrogen peptides (the type in Zen Principle) is the form that research shows is best absorbed. I've been using this for a few years to great effects on my joints and skin. Be sure to have adequate intake of vitamin C and lysine, which are also needed by your body to produce collagen.
