The riff from Sabbath’s “Heaven and Hell” is one of my favorites.
black sabbath has so much things in this top and i think that is beautiful
So many more that could be on here to. How about that open riff to sweet leaf, or any part of heaven and hell. Into the void, fairies wear boots, end of the beginning, etc.. Sabbath is the greatest metal band of all time
Enter Sandman isn't even one of the top 10 Metallica riffs... how is it on this list?
MyFaceIsMyShield ik, the song is not the best, but it’s there most recognizable one.
@@Copp.r most recognisable definitely doesn't make it one of the greatest
Rock Addict ik I just said it’s not the best, I don’t like the song bc people who don’t know Metallica glorify this song, when almost the entire album is better than sand man
@@Copp.r this is true... It's sad people think enter sandman is one of their best songs, compared to a lot of their other stuff, it's mediocre at best
It's a good song but not one of their best.
Yes! The Trooper is legendary
Every Riff By mustine And all Black sabbath songs
this video should have been called: 20 typical metal riffs that are in every top
i forgot, deep purple is death or black metal?
@NO BODY, dude you are a idiot, it's obviously depressing suicide experimental, n' ambiental death metal.
Extreme brutal ultra heavy black devil metal
Extreme ultra mega brutal death core.
kawaii metal
lefteris phasarias Deathblackmetalcore get it right
Stairway to heaven should have made this list, it's the best black metal riff ever
Guitar Guy yeah because that is so metalt
Stupid autocorrect
@@samuelarandaelefante9411 wooosh
That isnt black metal like it's nothing like it
Guess people didn’t realize you were joking
Glenn Tipton is such an underrated guitarist, one of my personal favorites
KK though
Needs more Megadeth
Jack Soghomonian Needs more cowbell
Absolutely needs more Megadeth. Nobody touches them in technicality. Their older music still makes my hair stand on end.
THIS. THANK YOU SIR.
Agree
Jack Soghomonian you know. You know. Megadeth is the shit. Holy wars #1
Where is cowboys from hell
Purple 0wl
I think you mean Where is Cemetary Gates*
Edit: I've listened to CBFH a bunch and I now think it's a better riff than Cemetery Gates
Comments can be deleted you know. Just put up your new opinion. Personally I think cowboys from Hell Is a better duo guitar song than the trooper so not seeing it at all was a downer
Anything from Pantera over enter sandman
Purple Owl...Thank You!! My sentiment exactly!!
@@mandelorianman over Aerials and blind. What the fuck are those "riffs" doing here?
Smoke on the water = Metal? Nice.
*NO*
Schools out either is metal
Who cares what it is it? Only nerds and anoraks need labels on things. In the end it's all Röck'n'Röll.
@@larswesterhausen7262 no, evey thing is just rock
@@Zietus And?
Dude I just teared up at the beginning. When you see the whole audience make that noise u get chills.
Iconic as the riff may be, _Smoke on the Water_ is rock, not metal ...
Rather Hard rock
I think it's both
+adam dib it's classic metal
Are you stupid?
+Tin Tin Pirata no that's just my opinion that's all
Man On The Silver Mountain
Wow, Deep purple is my favorite Amish satanic goth neo slamming grindcore band😀
Some riff I expected to be on this list:
Megadeth - Symphony of a Destruction
Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast/Hallowed be thy Name/Run to the Hills
Judas Priest - Painkiller
Rainbow - Stargazer
Slayer - South of Heaven/Angel of Death (the breakdown -riff)
Annihilator - King of The Kill (not that famous but one of the coolest riffs ever)
no Rammstein? 🥲
I think Orion should be somewhere on the list, but I agree with almost all of the placements. Good job.
Orion has my fav Metallica rift for sure. So underrated
+Cyrekt me too!
Remember about The Call of Cuthulu
Creeping Death or Damage Inc.
Metallica could replace blind or walk on this list. Not that I don't like the song walk but its main riff isn't even there best
I think I’ve heard Black Sabbath about 70 times but it still gives me chills.
COWBOYS FROM HELL???????????????????!?!?!!?!?!?!
The list isn’t complete without some death riffs! RIP Chuck 🤘🏻🕊️
1: The Trooper (Iron Maiden)
2: Paranoid (Black Sabbath)
3: Crazy Train (Ozzy Osborne)
4: Seek And Destroy (Metallica)
5: Ace Of Spades (Motörhead)
Iron Man (Black Sabbath)?
Breaking the Law is one of my all time favorite riffs in metal history. Fucking amazing. Holy Wars is way too low though, slightly insulted.
Love the fact Fear of the Dark is on there! Underrated album. Nods to the godfathers of metal, the mighty Sabbath!!!!
i am not even a metalhead i am just here on this channel to see the appreciation of hard rock
Welcome. You'll find metal is a surprisingly diverse genre. You're guaranteed to run across something you like.
@@user-od8yh8xs9u i like metallica's some songs and some iron maiden but thats all this isnt really my type but i respect people who like it thx
@@user-od8yh8xs9u also ozzy and judas priest
