@@anthonyroyal1725 I’ve been playing guitar for 15 years and I can tell you with 100% certainty, that’s complete bullshit. I still can’t Barre all 6 strings without atleast two going mute, I’ve tried everything, nothing I can do. 4 or 4 string barred are doable on electric, not so on acoustic. May just be my thick fingers, idk, but I sure as hell know barre chords aren’t the easier damn thing on guitar.
Easy in E. E, G#, A, Am. Seems to ascend up the neck of a guitar as well as a keyboard/piano/organ. Such a cool song with a simple progression. Yes - once one learns how to play barr chords it opens I knew world of understanding when it comes to the fret board. Gives easy access to so many songs. 👏 bravo.
Crazy dude, I've been playing this song all week for this exact reason, and suddenly, your video pops up. I do feel a lot more comfortable with barre chords now lol
Here is something I was taught recently. If you didn't already know, an easier way to switch from B to C is to just move it up a fret. It's also an easier way to switch to cm, as well.
Fun fact: creep has the weirdest strumming pattern, bc it doesnt have one, its just remembering the song, and also the little pinky switch from 4th to 3rd in the chords is crucial
You know I just realized there's a content creator how smart it is to teach songs through shorts. People will sit there four or five run times just to make sure they've got it right
The way I learned it uses the chords in different parts of the guitar and has a double barre. This is significantly easier than the way I learned it lol.
My first electric guitar lesson, I said my fav band was Radiohead so he taught me creep. He asked and I answered my fav Radiohead song is Jigsaw Falls Into Place. He finds out to play it you tune down to drop d, but creep in drop d is the easiest thing ever… how to cheat at guitar.
Lmao I watched this and already knew the bar chords but not how to play them… and I look up to your talent so was like f*** it I gotta learn them.. and finally watched through the whole video to hear you say just kidding 😭🤣🤣🤣 but glad I learned them or am in the process of it instead of avoiding them
I can almost already play those the bar chords well and i have been playing guitar for 2 months now. I am not a hardcore learner but i already play the piano so i wanna learn guitar basics.
Once you learn how to play the second way, you will notice that the first way leaves your hand tired and your playing a lot more "buzzy". The second way is better sounding and it's easier too
@@zeusolympus1664 it is, but the original doesn't have strumming (he does sort of an arpeggio through the chords, so you can't hear the buzz sound) and it is played in an electric guitar (it is softer than a steel-stringed acoustic).
The only way to learn bar chords is to just play them until you get it down. I learnt them through a Nickelback song 😂 It goes Am - F - G and I just sat down one day and played that Am - F change until I got it down and I've been playing bar chords since that day.
Well, in this song (even the easier version) you still need to know how to use bar chords cause of C minor. Either I don't mind, I got rid of my mind thinking bar chords are hard since the day I do them fluently
Some acoustics only need to be pressed gently and some others (mostly steel strings) are near impossible to bar chords and require immense pressure against them which strains your hands
U already had a b cord right there on the 2nd and third fret too right which if you don't bar still be good just the a sape on the 3rd and with index finger on the 2nd why the power chord
The second example is kinda iffy! u need the D# in the B chord to add color, a power chord wouldn't work well as it doesn't showcase the chromatic nature of the III chord borrowing from parallel minor. I wouldn't recommend this example as #5 is a really cool sound and a power chord leaves it ambiguous and boring. First example is gold, learn your bar chords!!
me playing thw beginning with all barre xgords likenits nothing him: im only joking me: what do you mean its too hard you're joking? I played it perfectly
“Do you wanna learn Barr chords or suck at them forever”
Bro just explained every guitarists fear 😂
It’s not that hard, that’s what she said , yea but bar chords are the easiest thing in the world
this is the first stage of a guitarist soon, CAGED, Scale and theory is next :)))
@anthonyroyal1725 you sound like a kid lol

It's taken me years to learn chords and this man just simply showed me
Not only did he show us how to play barre chords, but he also showed how some songs can't be played at all without them
Simplest tutorial, love it! 🤞🏽
I LOVE YOU BRO I'VE BEEN LEARNING CREEP FOR 3 DAYS ALREADY 😭😭😭😭 THANK YOU SO MUCH

Ive played both plus capo version and tune they all sound great, massive RDH fan...cheers for teaching others this remarkable song
Always reminds me of the Hollies, "all I need is the air that I breathe"
And to finish, we put the capo on the second fret and...
Breaks my heart there is no suspending the chords..
Thank you bro 🙏
This was my first time getting a glimpse at your tat, looks good Brodie
Easy..and i love it

I learned the second version first and then came back and learned the first when I had more Barre experience
Bruh I keep listening to bluecoats 2011 creep and now all kinds of creep content is in my feed LOL
i didnt even know creep was a real song i only knew it from bloo ‘11. ive been enlightened lol

If u want to make it easier just put on capo on 7th fret and play Cmaj,Emaj,Fmaj, andFmin
Capo 3rd fret.
E B(6th string) A Am 👍
Yes I remember when I was young 13 playing bar chords it was a learning thing back then it was black sabbath led zeppelin starting over
That is a good riff to practice barre though good suggestion
I can almost already play those the bar chords well and i have been playing guitar for 2 months now. I am not a hardcore learner but i already play the piano so i wanna learn guitar basics.
"Down to the seventh fret" *slides up*
Guitar is confusing as hell I swear to god. He went down but went up…
Down on the fretboard, but up in pitch.
Sounds good 🙂
He tells you this the cords, but not the strumming pattern so I can’t do the showing pattern
You say down but you’re going up
literally the song i learned barre chords
what's the strumming pattern?
Wow your the first lefty guitar player I’ve ever seen
First one is easy in electric guitar. Second one is easy in acoustic
I just have terrible reach, but I've gotten better, I should go see if I can play Sweden finally, it hurt learning that song had barres.
First one is easier isnt it?? Changinger fingers into Cm in a sec is just too hard
Once you learn how to play the second way, you will notice that the first way leaves your hand tired and your playing a lot more "buzzy". The second way is better sounding and it's easier too
depends on whether or not you can play barre chords
@@liferoijrm1976 using barre chords is used in original. I think it sounds better....

If youre starting out, remember initially barring is tough due to the lack fo strength on the index finger - hence buzzing
u can play with normal chord, start with G, B7, C, CM (u can choose The easiest Cm version)
Barre chords look easier because you don't have to move your fingers to different strings
amazing
Wanna learn nashville notation? This progression is I - III - IV - iv
Can you play Let Down (underrated) by Radio Heads

Barre is easier. The other one you have to switch faster. IMO IMO IMO
The Gift by Seether is the song I’m using to practice them haha F# and G#m
commenting to save this clip
i used to put capo on the 3rd fret and play E, G#, A, Am
Barre chords are easy on my baritone ukulele 🤠🎸
If you want to make that progression even easier just lift your index finger for Cm. Same concept as the barre chord except using the open chord.
Lifting the index finger on an open C chord shape will make it a Cmaj7
@@josephw.8570 ye lol
Nah this man been mewing since 2008
The way i learnt it was basically the same except each chord switched to a sus4 chord on the 3rd beat (except for Cm)
Keep practicing those barcodes!
Esteban has spoken 😂
Interesting that everyone is playing this right now.
Or play an open b7! It'll sound rad as hell
Dont play it like the first way, the song is meant to be played with power, so ill do an open g, a 5th string b, and then a 5th fret c and Cm simple
easy to play if your strumming but of you play it how it's played on the album you'll need to pick the strings individually
The easier way is the bar chord
Well, in this song (even the easier version) you still need to know how to use bar chords cause of C minor. Either I don't mind, I got rid of my mind thinking bar chords are hard since the day I do them fluently

Cminor is so hard to get that note with bent hammered old fingers
why did i think i was going to get weezered 💀
Hell yeah
What guitar are you using in this video?
With standard tuning, you could also use, 'G, B, C and Cm'. That would work too.
I don’t get how people find bare chords hard. Like, just hold your finger down harder, TF??
u dont get it, because some people dont have the ability to press harder, it hurts. like suck it up not everyone knows how to play guitar chill 🦅
@@emilyfellows5535 Fair point, fair point. I ain’t even good, I’ve just got big ass hands 🫠

i want to learn the first one tho
Ahh yes… how to play the Steven Universe theme

I stopped watching after you told me the barre chords. I only watched the rest of it now. My left hand is so sore 😭
i'm lazy af so i downtune the a and do the rest on the a string
I love how we specifically searched no bar chord, instead of that you gave me bar chords
