- Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man movie was one of the biggest event films of last year and it successfully positioned our favorite neighborhood webhead to have a whole new set of adventures in the future that bring him back down to the street-level hero a lot of us love. But have we actually stopped to think about how drastic some of the consequences of Peter’s new life is? At the end of the movie, Peter had to make a huge sacrifice to fix the problem he created. When characters from all over the multiverse who knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man, Peter found a way around that by erasing himself from existence. When you say it out loud and analyze it for a bit, it might not make the most sense, but it doesn’t matter because it still hit us all right in the feels! And now that it’s the new status quo, what are the biggest consequences of this?
Like for example, could the Sinister Six be in the works? Remember that Adrien Toomes only seemed hesitant to team up with Scorpion because he felt indebted to Peter after Spider-Man saved his life, but now that Vulture would have no knowledge of who Peter Parker is, you think he’s more willing to return to a life of crime? Could Ned turn to villainy without Peter in his life? He’s always seemed like the type to crave more power. Could having no life be what leads Peter to work for the Daily Bugle? Fact is Sony wanted him for venom movie not eddy brock they was allways going to make venom without going tru Peter first but changed there plan when Andrew was fired and tom become spiderman, then they did go with eddy. And the plan was for tom and tom to meet to bad Sony and mcu blook with ofter So bad that Sony pulled out inn thw first place. Atleast sony and mcu have better team work now not perfect but better

Uhhh I don't think that would work 100 percent correctly
All we know about memory spell is that 1) it can make people forget about the event ( obviously ) 2) it destroys some evidence of what could possibly remind people of the event but does it selectively. It works like that because it is more a one-off plot device, but what exactly would it do in-universe if Peter asked Strange to make everyone forget Mysterio?
1) If Pete asked to make people forget what Mysterio said then sure, it is possible and maybe the spell would get rid of news articles too, but the video would be still available ( since we don't know how the spell works on dead ) and people could find out again.
2) So okay if spell cannot make people to forget about what Mysterio said then it is easier to make people forget about Mysterio himself. Then again if Peter would've said something like " Make everything connected to Mysterio fade away " then a) property damage is still here and if noone couldn't remember its origins then people would be more than courage to find out what happened. And since Mysterio is erased from the people's memory the only one who was present during the attack on London and had access to the drones was.. Spider-Man. So Peter just compromised himself.
b) ( more of my personal guess of how the spell works, so it is more of a theory ) Well if we started then who is Mysterio? Would the memory spell make his team forget with who they worked? Or about their work? Would people forget about the Elementals too since it is a huge lie made up by Mysterio. And would the spell itself work? Peter said something like: " Make everyone forget that Spider-Man is Peter Parker " My guess that in order for spell to work it needs some evidence of what happened so it targets everything that is linked to it ( in that case it is Peter himself ). But we can't be sure of Quentin Beck is Mysterio's real name ( which explains why EDITH hadn't recognized him as a former Stark employee )
Everything about the memory spell is giving me a headache. If you want to join and prove me wrong then be my guest I'd like to hear someone else's guesses/theories. But please without any direct hate I just want to chat about a Marvel movie.
If Peter didn't act like a little doof and actually told Strange everything he wanted in the first place and not constantly interrupt him during the spell, that also would've been good.

I’ve been watching NWH over and over since it released to stream. Ned’s statement about not betraying Peter has a new meaning now and MCU doesn’t do anything for Nothing. I think Ned being so decent and likable makes him the perfect character to break bad. I also have been thinking they set everything up perfectly for him to become a freelance photographer for DB bc what else is left for him to pay his bills in NYC.
12:00 if the spell didn’t affect the entire multiverse then everybody wouldn’t have disappeared from those cracks in reality. The only way that this could have been avoided is if everybody in the entire multiverse forgot who Peter Parker was. This is the premise for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Strange says I did what I had to do and the multiverse is broken because of this spell that affected the entire multiverse

Chill everyone no the real problem is that if you have seen the post credit scene of no way home then U know that only Marvel has no pete memory
I totally understand why Tom Holland's Spider-Man is sticking to his new homemade suit at the end of Spider-Man No Way Home but how many of you think that he's keeping his integrated Suit stored away somewhere to use for emergencies beyond what the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man could handle like how he could not survive in space if Tony Stark hadn't sent him the Iron Spider suit. I don't care what anyone else says but I want to see Spider-Man with his integrated Suit during the next big Avengers crossover. Does Spider-Man have access to the Stark tech since he is not forgotten unlike Peter Parker or would Tom Holland's Spider-Man be like Riri_Williams the Ironheart by using tech from whatever College he is attending to make new suit or upgrade his old suit?

He probably wouldn't have the iron spider suit bc it uses recognition and the suit doesn't work for just anyone so he wouldn't b able to use it bc stark industries doesn't know who Peter is

Did you forget him recording a ton of video in the first spiderman in MCU? He had a camera the whole time.. my theory is once he got in Avengers he pushed photography to the side bc he wanted to be an Avenger so bad... now that everyones forgotten him... the camera hobby can come back

I think goblin left Norman and went into Ned and gave him back all memories of Peter Parker and influences Ned to kill him but Ned refuses so Goblin takes full control and becomes Hobgoblin and fights Peter

14:00 the spell doesn’t just make everyone forget who Peter is it erases every indication that he ever existed so anyone photo with him in it like you Ned’s birthday example the photo would still exist but Peter wouldn’t be in it so he wouldn’t have a drivers license if he ever had one, a social security number, a credit or debit card or even something as simple as a Libra card so he would be erased from them but that thing they were on would exist so with the credit and debit card example those would still exist just Peter’s name card number and anything else to prove he existed would be erased but the card would still have things like the company/banks logo and name of the company/bank on it and with your happy and aunt may example happy would still know may as he said he knew her through Spider-Man when Peter visits her grave so just makes logical sense that everyone that knew someone through Peter when he was being Spider-Man and learned he was Peter would only think they knew that person through Spider-Man not Peter
I think Strange still knows Peter because he uses the spell on that kamar taj party but wong doesn’t remember so I’m think whoever casts the spell still is aable to remember

OMG! If Ned turns evil it would TOTALLY turn his introduction scene with Lego Palpetine (a guy that turned a good guy into a villain) foreshadowing to him becoming a villain!
Was it really a smart move for the writers to have Peter Parker be forgotten just to make him feel comic book accurate, Was there an alternate ending? What do you think they're going to do with him instead of making him feel exactly similar to Tobey Maguire Spider-Man?

It would be a crazy idea and technically impossible but what if Peter assumes the identity of Ben Riley 🤔
In the comics Ned was not actually the Hobgoblin. He was brainwashed into thinking he was.
Wait if vulture forgets peter is Spiderman he should still remember that Spiderman saved him not peter himself, the spell erased people's memory of peter being Spiderman so there's an implication that everything around him still had a connection to him.
Ex. Ned and MJ forget that Peter is Spidey but they might remember that they worked with Spiderman.
-Avengers forget who he was but they still remember they been together against thanos.
-This was the case of Happy, he knows May but through Spiderman he somehow remember her.
When dr. Strange said "the problem is you who is living to different lives" this was hint on how the spell works.
The spell removed Peter's other life which him being Peter Parker a normal teenage student.

Like the infinite stones you can't change what has already happened, what happens with the other Spider-men is that we get 6 or more new branch timelines creating more problems for the TVA

Everyone in the multiverse forgets Peter. And YES THEY DO because the characters that were in the sky are from other universe's. So it was a multiversal spell.

I believe that Ned will somehow remember Peter. Then he'll realize that Peter never looked for him or told him the truth. This will cause confusion and anger within Ned which will make him become the hobgoblin

8:33 I'm pretty sure he has things like that because Strange's spell was only for erasing him off of the memories of everyone and didn't involve anything else. I think it's worth noting someone (like MJ, Ned, or anyone else) is bound to find him in their camera roll (for example) and wonder who tf that is.

The last spell was for everyone to forget Peter Parker is spiderman. So it doesn't make sense no one knows Peter then. Everything Peter went threw would still exist in everyone's memories besides knowing that he's spiderman. The happy hogan scene ticked me off for that 1st time and even just yesterday. It wasn't a spell to be forgotten completely

Well, Peter’s credit card and phone numbers and stuff like that still exist, because Peter still exists, it’s just that nobody remembers him.
For example lets say you had a pet hamster that you sold a few years ago and you forgot about it, the hamster would still exist, you just wouldn’t remember it. So if when you sold the hamster the cage was left at your house, the cage wouldn’t disappear because you forgot about about the hamster.
So if everybody forgot about Peter, his credit card wouldn’t randomly disappear. It still exists.

Its quite strange that TH spiderman was so close to Tony and he never left him anything from his will except the glasses. Like, not even a little bit of money to help him get by. He basically treated him like his son. Not even a little trust fund......I wouldnt be surprised if he goes back to where they had the funeral to talk to Tony. If you get what I mean. Like visiting a grave. I wouldnt mind the next one going darker though. We could get the carnage, venom and deadpool with spiderman movie we deserve.....
I've got a theory: Now we know that Ned is able to do a little bit of Dr strange magic, I do think ned accidentally uses his magic and finds out peter is spiderman in another universe and tries to find peter (tom) in his universe and asks him if he is spiderman. then peter might ask him "Ned? Do you still remember me!?" and then he tells him all about it to restore his memory. Cuz, the spell will only erase everything that shows peter is spiderman also peter's existence in their universe. even it erases most of it, still, ned might have those power cuz of Dr.strange (which means the spell doesn't affect the power he got from strange, and it still exists). anyways that's just a theory ; )

Dr Strange used the gem of cytorak to house the spells.
Any pictures of Peter have been altered so there is something blocking Peter's face or he was erased from them. So all media that had the reference is wiped. Strange is very powerful.

After seeing the ending of Spider-Man No Way Home, I want to see Spider-Man in other MCU movies and Disney Plus shows since I'm sure that his new trilogy movies would make him feel more tragic which is something that I cannot enjoy. I'm not really going to be holding my breath thinking about what to expect from Spider-Man 4,5 & 6. If there is no loop hole for all the suffering Tom Holland's Spider-Man had to undergo during Spider-Man No Way Home, I'm going to start losing interest in Spider-Man
Venom Symbiote being left behind is another consequence, not only because a Symbiote is now on the loose, but it also could technically be the only creature on Earth that still knows who Spider-Man is.
Only the hulk remembers cause the same thing happens with sentry where everyone forgets him but the hulk

I think a big win for Garfield universe is that Harry Osborn no longer has an enormous grudge toward Peter, but just Spider-Man. Now, Harry’s plots against Spider-Man will be slightly less personal.
