I’m a senior in college and I completely agree with doing AP and dual enrollment courses during high school. It’s such a tremendous help when you get to college and have many of the pre req courses done.
Thanks so much for making this video! Choosing classes and activities selectively is something that resonated with me. I wanted to do some classes I was passionate about but definitely saw the workload would be more detrimental than if I self studied and enjoyed on my own time.
    Awesome video!!

    Hello,
so does GPA matter more than the course rigor? I am a freshman undergraduate and I totally overloaded this fall semester.. I know I still have 7+ semesters to bring my GPA up but I am really concerned.
Also, would course rigor show a “wow factor” for more competitive medical schools?

No. They don’t care what classes you took, just as long as you took their requirements and your gpa is high enough to not get screened

Being a latino was what got you into med school. You took a spot from more deserving white or asian candidate. Nothing more, nothing less.

On top of what everyone else has said, it is also a different applicant, no matter how justified or victim-mentality you may hold as evident by your racist and degrading message, your life as a white/etc. male is measurably less difficult, more opportune in terms of academic success, and also easier because you see representation everywhere you go (despite the state) even if they don’t come from your immediate family, white and Asian male docs being the bread and butter of medicine due to the oppression of all other groups. Plus the fact that we have already heard his back story from his video, he got in based on merit, and if it was affirmative action he will be a much better Physician than even your greatest potential @ Dragon Fly because he takes his time to help others who aren’t as naturally intelligent. Try therapy man, your comment is pathetic, don’t blame others cultural identity for your lack of success and happiness in life.

@@adeneden5674 no one cares about what you say. Latinos and blacks will always be viewed that way. Are they genetically inferior than whites and asians? Why can't they get in without race being a factor? Asians are the most minority in this country. They are clearly super successful even with them being discriminated against because they are Asian. So you are admitting that whites and asians are genetically and intellectually superior and blacks and Latinos can never go to med school or do great things without the help of white people. 😄
