We are the Majority: A Call to Action for Freedom Summer 2024

On the May 3rd 2024 National Day of Action, we co-hosted a signature event in the Bronx, NY with the office of the NY Public Advocate, where we had a banned-book giveaway and heard from community stakeholders, as well as AAPF Co-founder Luke Harris. Speakers highlighted how the coordinated racial backlash has been accelerated by the media, elements of the business community, and politicians, which have often appeased rather than combated the assault on civil rights. Youth leaders from NAACP Youth & College Division joined us for an artivism performance of Amanda Gorman’s The Hill We Climb followed by an energizing speech.
