I love this mandala! It will make a great warm up tomorrow morning. Diane thank you for encouraging us to not be too fussed with the outcome of a project. To enjoy the process is a true gift. You always deliver a cheerful tutorial to help us think and grow! And even when you are feeling maybe moody and say , "Oh shut up Diane.." it makes me chuckle. Thank you for all you do! And Tamsin too!
Hi Tammy and thanks so much for joining Patreon! It means a lot to me and Tamsin to have your support xxx So glad you enjoy the videos and I hope you give this mandala a try as I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!!!
My dad just passed away earlier this month & I haven’t been really into doing any artwork due to that. I like your tutorials though bcuz they’re low-key & u can often do your own thing . I’ve also never drawn a Mandala so while I was hesitant at first I end up really getting into this project. Thanks for helping distract me from my sadness about losing both my parents within 6 months of each other; they were both in their early 90’s but it still hurts.Anyway Im going to try & paint another Mandala soon & dedicate it to my dad ( the one I did today has colors that my mom had in her wardrobe so this one is for her👍💕)
So sorry to hear about your losses Robyn, losing both so close together must be really hard and their age has little to do with how much you miss them when they go. I hope you find some consolation in your paintings now you are able to start up again, it really does help so much. I was surprised how much I enjoyed doing the mandalas, never done them before either and I know now that I’ve been missing out on something good! Sending love xxx
You inspired me to paint a mandala, but my own way since I do not enjoy doodling at all. I am so pleased with how it turned out. Thank you so much for your lovely video.
Just ran across your channel and now I’m binge watching. I burnt myself out from painting my way through the pandemic, and have been in a rut for the past 2 years. These ideas are great to get me back in the studio and putting paint to paper/canvas again. Thank you!
Wonderful tutorial! I’m so glad I ran into this one. I’ve been looking for something to play with the new pens my daughter sent me and this fits the bill! ❤
Madalas! What a fab idea!! Your practice ones are Gorgeous and That Mandala you just did is really Beautiful, Diane. (I'm with you on the outside squiggles - i was willing you to paint them out with white or trim them off. Good decision!!) Am definitely going to do one of these! Thank you for your Super Lovely tutorial. Love, Mel in Devon xx 🍰🌻
Thanks Mel, sometimes you have to be a bit radical with the repair jobs! I didn’t think white gouache would cover the lines well enough so to the scissors we go! Have fun - it’s very rewarding!
Looks like a great thing to try with my brush pens whilst sitting with my husband in the evening, can’t really use paint on the lounge but can use my pens and brush paints. Thank you Diane.
Thanks Carolyn for your kind words, as always! I hope you‘re finding time in your busy life to create little things of beauty - I know you are a gifted artist and do hope that you are able to find ways to channel that impulse xxx
So enjoyed your Mandala segment. Your light hearted voice today made me think you are having a Wonderful day full of positivity. I live in Florida and have been experiencing some cooler weather for us too. Waiting on the paint to dry so I can come back to doodling.
OOOOooo, I LOVE this! Don't know why I didn't think of it as I have mandalas in my office. Can't wait to paint these! Thank you for more inspiration, Diane!
I love coloring mandalas and trying to make them appear to be 3-D. I am in Arkansas. It is about 88 degrees F. today. You just said that it is very cold there. I really enjoy your videos.
Mandalas are also popular in the southwestern USA with Native Americans. I love them. I lived in Colorado for a while and even had a tattoo of one. Thanks Diane 😊
Ooooo...love this! Gonna start mine right now! Read somewhere a long time ago that mandalas represent your spiritual path from the outer edge to the inner light. Think I'll try doing it from the outer in! ☺
Me again,I was thinking you could make some as placemats and laminate them for your summer outdoor table ,it's boiling hot here in Cornwall Diane, someone in Bude recorded 92 degrees at 7pm, crazy ☺
Hi Me! Wow that’s hot!!! We had warm yesterday but nothing quite like that! Great idea for placemats. Maybe I’ll just make some, I’ve got a laminator…. :)
Pushed the wrongbutton. Sorry!!! As i was saying I've seen the Mandal coloring books, but they seem too busy for me. Watching you paint this and explain your proces makes it seem as if I could do this with thought and purpose. Thank you! Now I'm off to buy a compass and attempt to paint my own Personal Mandela!
Me too, the line drawn mandalas to colour in are to me very off putting. I know I couldn’t spend the time to fill in those little spaces! Not my style!

Wonderful mandalas. I enjoy creating them, too. Thanks for sharing with us.
Glad you like them! I was surprised by how they turned out. Have you painted many?
Cool in scottish borders today ,very hot Saturday, Sunday. Love the idea for mandolins xx
So glad, hope you enjoy having fun with the idea!
Truly amazing work ❤😊
Thank you so much 😀

Welcome aboard! So glad you found us!

One could doodle forever on these. I love it!😊
Yes! It’s an endless source of peaceful doodling!
Psychologically, I can see how getting lost in creating a Mandela would be very healthy for those of us who are too into our heads. Thank you.
You’re so welcome Connie, you’re right, it’s a great therapy according to what I’ve read. Hope you enjoy giving it a go!
I love it!
so pretty
Thanks Inger!
I have just found your channel and omg I am in love. I have bookmarked sooooo many different videos to watch later.

What fun! Seems very relaxing to do and let your imagination wander. Thanks again Diane ❤
Yes, it’s a very relaxing subject to paint xx Hope you give it a try x

That's a great idea!I completely agree with the sentiment!
Very interesting, beautiful colors.

Great idea Gail, lots of fun to be had there!

That’s interesting Linda, they’re great aren’t they!
this fits in with the Zentangles I've been doing. You got me started embellishing and boy do I love it. Thank you so much.
That’s so good to hear Inger. Embellishing does it for me too!
❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks Bonnie, have fun!
Love this ❣
I really liked the mandala. I have seen them in coloring books. I would rather do them myself. I have done a few in cross stitch and needpoint
Thanks
Hi Angela, yes, they crop up in colouring books but those ones are too finicky for me, can’t do those small shapes!
Bravo! Cut off just right! I need to try this! XOXOX❤️❤️❤️cut them out with ribbon for mandala tree?
Ooh, is that a good idea or what!
🤗🤗💗💗💗💗💗💗🤗🤗
When decorating, I always tell myself "Less is more."
That can be so true Gail!

I like your way of mandalas way better than coloring all those tiny spaces in a preprinted image.
Yup, those tiny spaces are just the end!
My friend draws mandalas, takes her hours she puts your name into them or a saying etc it's very interesting ☺
Ah, that’s the real deal. Mine are for sploshers like us!
I've always seen the Mandala coloring books because they are too busy. Watching hoew youw
