I used Blud Devil gasket sealer last year on our 2006 Honda Accord LX. I was trying to figure out why anifreeze was spewing from underneath the reservoir cap all onto the engine. Changed the cap, changed the reservoir, changed the little reservoir hose...still the same thing. Researched and read it was head gasket going. Oh hell no I wasn’t paying $1,200 plus for that. Came across this at NAPA and said, “ What have I got to lose except $40?” Followed the instructions to the tee including removing the thermostat. By the following day after doing the flushing and runs, the problem was solved. Kept checking it everyday as my son drove to college/home 80 plus miles round trip each day and still, no problem. And then...my son wrecked the damn car 5 months later totaling it (he was fine). But at least I wasn’t out $1200 plus on this repair!!! This stuff seriously works..but like the man says, follow the instructions as they state on the bottle label. I’m a Blue Devil believer!! Good video!!
I have the same issue with my 2004 civic. Coolant will blow out of the overflow cap when driving. It's been doing this awhile so I just add coolant before I leave. Hopefully this will work!
It will work but you have to follow the instructions to the tee. Tedious but a small price to pay rather than a $1500+ repair. I had failed to respond to prior comment from Nathaniel P, it never did it again. 5 months later driving 80 miles+ round trip daily, repair still held. Ive since used stop oil leak on my tahoe and rear main differential, stopped that oil leak. All Blue Devil products work great! I’m a believer!!!!
@@melissamcgee833 just make sure its not your radiator cap; rubber underneath wears out with time. Rule them out. No harm in replacing the cap. Process of elimination. Used to assist in an automotive machine shop. If you're replacing a head gasket you SHOULD have that head REBUILT at the same time! Why? I thought I was having a an issue with my charcoal canister after it threw a code.. ! Now my thermostat is acting really weird.. so I'm suspecting it's the gaskets.! V6 and it's over 200k miles... I try to do as much research as I can...
You did an exceptionally great job producing this. Superb camera work, audio and cuts. You’re clearly equally talented at video production as you are with vehicle mechanics. Well done. Onward!
Thanks for the demo and the testimonial. I have a very small leak. I had an intake gasket leak that I've already corrected, discovered there's also a very small external leak behind the head. The leak is so small, I don't even have drips on the ground beneath the truck...... Just see signs of it when looking up from below the truck. It's probably best to do it now since I've already flushed the coolant multiple times, especially the heater core. I think you just gave me the motivation to go ahead and get this done so I can get some coolant back in and call this nightmare done-did. Mine's an 88 S10.
@@wildestcowboy2668 By the way, I did. Because your an ass, nobody is going to know if it worked. .....I'd forgotten where I'd posted this. Had you a question instead of the remark you made, you'd have some useful information to pass on. 😉 Thanks for reminding me I'd mentioned this. 👏
A lot of people always leave out a bunch of others too. When doing this be sure to read the directions on the capacity for your radiator. The yellow label is usually for V8 models depends on your radiator capacity like I said. I only used half a container for my 4 cylinder. But I’ve also done both products and the pour n go still leaves behind white residue on your thermostat and I would advise people to drain and fill on the pour n go as well. Maybe let the vehicle cure for a good day. And pour in new coolant on the pour n go along with replacing the thermostat. This yellow one the same method drain the coolant inside it and replace new coolant. Oh also when you pour in the blue devil don’t just put the cap back on. But, be sure to top off your radiator with water until full so you don’t have air in the system and last put on your radiator cap....boom you’ll be set and let idle.
@tiffanyv4205 it's temporary fix I tried it on my car but turns out it was my head gasket. It was done for. Blew that blue devil out and made a mess when it leaked again. I wouldn't suggest it.
Great video, I also like to spray everything with carb cleaner to clean off right into my throttle body so I can wash my intake valves with pieces of gasket and other debries, really make my vortec get that vortex...
If people changed coolant and flush the coolant system more often the head gaskets would hold up longer. Change coolant and brake fluids are often forgotten things on older cars
I found mine very early. The only reason I discovered this was because I was fixing an unrelated coolant leak and just happened to see some minor symptoms. I’ll give this a shot and hopefully it’ll work. I need it to because I can’t afford to replace the head gasket
1:43 i used a different one without removing the thermostat and it definitely broke my thermostat, but i think it fixed my head gasket because no more leaking coolant
Hi mate, great video. One point though there does seem to be two versions of the same product. One version you have to remove the thermostat etc and the other which is called “pour n go” you don’t have to. Don’t know whether the formulation is different but just different instructions to follow!!
1st thing to do if water is in the oil Change the oil with "USED" motor oil.. With the price of oil and you know its leaking water there is no sense of spending/ wasting $35.⁰⁰. After using the sealant and it appears to have worked you can then replace the oil with fresh clean NEW motor oil.. if that makes sense to you then save yourself some money..
I have used this product and it is good/fixed. Follow instructions to a tee! I have a 4 cyl. that only has 5qt capacity of coolant. I needed ONLY 1/2 bottle! Not the whole thing. Call customer service # if you have questions....GREAT advise. Great video... maybe too much product used.
@@2carpros hi mate love the video. I have an odd one (I may be overthinking it.) I had a few bubbles in expansion tank (that in itself can be minor) .....had major bubbling months ago dealer got it to a garage quickly and it had a therm. Oil seemed smooth no debris no residue (milky or anything else) New oil filter new oil the mechanics had a bit much in 9verfkiw so took some out a while ago to leave it at max . The only thing I had dine recently was clean egr valve which has a coolant spout either side . I did of course run engine fir some time with cap off (I done my therm housing gasket on last car so I know this ) I've had idling issues throughout and when that happens it has a deep note as if I have a beefy exhaust .and recently done the test where it changrd to green or yellow from blue over rad or exp cap . It went yellow it smells funny as some say fume like . And discoloured ..any thoughts? Thanks I'm going to a garage Monday to get a 2nd opinion
There should have been some sign of the old oil on your dipstick. Its hard to believe that the oil change removed all of the contaminated oil. It would only take a little of the old oil to stop that clear oil on your dipstick
You NEED to run JUST water and blue devil during treatment. AFTER you run the 50min and wait 2 hr for cooldown, you drain radiator and reinstall thermostat than close up and pour your COOLANT.
I guess my comment would be maybe you could drive the vehicle for 1000 miles I think that would really truly confirm the stuff works thanks for the video
Great job..... That engine likely had/has a leaking intake gasket. Oil contamination with coolant is generally a leaking oil cooler core in the radiator or a failed intake gasket in those 4.3l Vortec engines. Blown head gaskets are rare on them and compression leaks into the coolant are usually cracked heads.
The blue devil fixed it and it is still being daily driven to this day, which shocks me, but that leads me to believe it was a small leak on the head gasket. Thanks for watching!
@@2carpros GOD MORNING/ AFTERNOON I had a mechanic use it on my car while my engine was cold it sat for 20 minutes he didn't remove Thermostat he poked a hole in the Thermostat then poured Blue devil in and told me drive car for 50 minutes, I parked car over night now I have code for low engine coolant and I see wet damp spots under my car
I had my 2004 GMC Sierra fixed with head gasket sealant last May, 2020, in AZ, then drove it back and forth to the Valley a few times before driving it all the way home to NC, 2004 miles, where I have continued to drive it all year so about another 500 or so miles. At this point, and at my last service and check up, my mechanic said my truck is running well and the oil is normal. I have to say that I use gasoline detergent every other fill up, too, which has increased my mileage, but I also think helps keep the engine sealant in good shape. Am I wrong?
@@2carpros I know that detergent won't seal a gasket leak. . .I was raised by a first class mechanic. My question was " will using gasoline detergent in your tank, which helps keep things running clean and smooth, also help extend the life of a head gasket sealant in your engine?" You know, make it last longer.
Due to covid I can’t get an engine for my car until April 11th (it’s Feb 15th today) so unfortunately I have to use this for a temporary fix so I’m glad you’re showing this since I have no choice.
If that is a code r 350 (5.7) engine , And the engine has a lot of miles and the engine has never had any major engine repairs . I would for sure replace the broken plastic intake gaskets , Biggest source of coolant leaking into the engine oil is the broken plastic intake gaskets around the water outlets of the cylinder heads. After that repair is done ,and you still have issue ( you overheated the engine ) then you should try Blue devil . Speaking from A GM tech who has done these repairs a lot . depending on how bad the condition Blue devil may work
As u r gm expert Can blue devil work if transmission fluid leaking from front axle seal leak Plus oil leak not much around valve cover Milky oil cap yes not milky dipstick But no overheating and no other issues Please reply in derails Blue devil head gasket sealer should I use in coolant or oil
@@rajendramodusu5980 As it say on the bottle of Blue devil , it's for the coolant system .It helps seal head gasket leakage ,wear as coolant is leaking into the cylinder. Great job, Thank you for explaining every thing, my question is does the blue devil work if there is a small gas bubbles in coolant " small leak exhaust gas pass to coolant very small "
I have a 2000 Grand am GT with 230k miles. It had sat for a 5 or 6 years and when it went back into service, a cracked radiator was discovered and repaired after a large puddle of coolant was discovered. it developed a slight rhythmic rev while idling a few days before that. After light use, one day it's temp spiked to redline. It's operating temp is 218. The thermostat was then replaced. Now it's losing fluid and Ive discovered liquid on the block directly below the head on the drivers side. There is no coolant in the oil and no moisture in the exhaust... only on the block. Will this product possibly work for this specific condition? I only ask because it seems like all the examples ive seen show internal leaks, fluid into cylinder, or fluid into oil.... My case is a fluid breach into external atmosphere.
Putting just water instead of antifreeze , living in Cali, don't you worry the water will oxidize and rust your radiator ? I thought the antifreeze also contains anti rust agents . BTW, I loved ur video.
A tip I found online and used that worked well - maybe put in a lower temp/pressure thermostat to reduce likelihood of blowing out the sealant. I ran a bottle of Blue Devil (the standard version, not the quick one) through an high mileage '87 Ranger (v6) with a severely blown head gasket. Still had a bit of a leak, so I flushed it again and ran another 1/2 bottle through it. Drove the truck daily for the next 3 years with no leak, probably 25000 miles. It was still running when I scrapped it. (I had bought the truck from a friend who was going to scrap it - I was moving to a new apartment that week, and figured it could just barely make it the 1.5 mile drive before, and save me the cost of renting a U-haul. The Ranger would blow through / boil out almost the entire coolant system after 5 minutes of driving, needing a refill. Worked out better than expected, and I was only out the cost of 2 bottles and the time to flush it! From friends who've used it, sounds like getting it flushed really well (as directions dictate) makes the biggest difference in whether it will work or not. I personally think the lower temp thermostat helped too.
Yeah it works on an Engine idle but other than that make sure you do not gun it. You would blow that gasket leak material right out of there and then you're back to square one.
I pulled my thermostat as suggested, huge mistake. Both the bolts were super rusted and snapped off, had to drill and tap. Water pump and intake are done. And the reason they were rusted, previous owner never flushed system once and only ran water, because "it's a California car". Radiator fluid, or coolant, is important. It has a lower freezing point, but also a higher boiling point AND corrosion inhibitors. This video and the 1st video are super helpful and well done, but please don't suggest coolant isn't important. People are dumb, they will just run water and turn a v8 into a boat anchor.
I was just saying some people do that so don't sweat getting the ratio EXACTLY 50/50 down to the micron. I always aim for running 50/50 in everything. Thanks for watching!
This test didn't wait long enough to see if the gasket was still leaking coolant into the oil. Would have been nice if he showed what the oil looked like after a week or so to truly prove that it works.
I don't have milky oil, any leaks, weird smalls or anything, no bubbles, but, my coolant ends up in my reservoir tank and not back in the radiator. I would have to top it off every time i look at the overflow tank and siphon it back from the overflow to radiator. I replaced Thermostat, Hoses, Radiator and Radiator cap.... But still the coolant doesn't stay in the radiator. I'm getting one of those blue head gasket tester kits and will see, if all else fails i'll try this. My Infiniti FX35, the thermostate is on the housing, so i may need to order a new thermostat just in case this messes that up.
I put blue devil in my ford truck and it clogged up my heater core and my truck ran hot. Not right away but a couple years later . There was gunk all in my coolant system. Had to get head rebuilt
I have an old Toyota 2LT engine built anew. All items are new and high quality. Most Japanese, only pistons are Taiwan. The cylinder block is bored out, and new high carbon steel, quality cylinders are inserted. Cylinder block gasket metal TAKOMA. But on the gasket was smeared SHELLAC, and possibly of poor quality. Engine - diesel. At high speeds/tork , it gradually squeezes out antifreeze. Also, with the thermostat removed, it squeezes out 1.5 liters for 80 km. At low speeds, the pressure is less, the inflation of the cooling system is less. The compression was checked by inflating the air pressure into the holes of the glow plugs. There is a slip between the three cylinders. The big problem is that from the 3rd cylinder there is a breakdown into the crankcase and there is a weak but smoke from the crankcase durig the oil dipstick. The question is - Can a punctured, poorly-fitted gasket leak exhaust gas into the oil system like into the cooling system? And is it worth it to apply sealants or change the gasket? Should I use metal or paranitic? On a metal smear SHELLAC or is it not worth doing? Thanks in advance for any advice. And thanks for the interesting videos.
Great video!!! Quick question, after the 50 min run, did you take all the water/blue devil out of the system? i think you just left the blue devil in the system and then you did just a top up with coolant, is that right? is it safe to leave the blue devil with coolant in the system? Just checking as i want to do this process this weekend and I'm not sure if i need to take all the water/blue devil out of the system after the process or just leave it inside like you did. Thanks for your video!!!
Some people drain it all out and replace it with 50/50 coolant. I just topped it off with coolant and the S10 still runs today. But I live where it never gets cold enough to freeze. Thanks for watching!
Most definitely you can fix a head gasket with sealer I just fixed my 97 Saab 9000 cs that has a blown head gasket used bars leaks head gasket sealer and she lost no coolant and no clouds of smoke out the tail pipe prior to using it
I have a 09 Corolla Dual VVT-i 1.8L engine has 185k and it misfire on cyl 4. (P0304), according to the auto shop, I have coolant in Cylinder head 4. Would this work on Toyota and does your leak still good as of today. Thanks so much for helping.
For anyone wondering, this method is more of a "bandaid" rather than a fix. Blue devil is hit or miss. I've seen it last the life of a car, however there are cases where it might only last a few years. Definitely cheaper then actually replacing the gasket, just understand it's not always a permanent "fix" and it's not the proper way to "fix" the issue.
Got an 88 Ford f350 7.3 naturally aspirated diesel. Have a coolant leak externally only in the front passenger side right under the exhaust manifold. Pretty sure it's a head gasket leaking externally only. No symptoms of coolant getting into the combustion chamber or oil. I'm a little concerned that the blue devil might not work here because it isn't hot enough to get it to harden up. It only leaks if I leave the radiator cap on and the system pressurizes. If I leave the cap off it doesn't leak at all. As rarely as this truck gets run I'm considering just letting the truck operate this way. Any suggestions on a product that would be better suited for an external coolant leak?
Not only will the manufacturer-recommended coolant inhibit corrosion but it will also elevate the boiling temperature (gives a greater 'thermal reserve' under hot conditions). Also - very important- use distilled/purified water NOT TAP WATER as tap water contains mineral salts (ions) which will accelerate corrosion.
I changed it before, then did the Blue Devil. After that the new oil wasn't milk shake at all. Not even a Even a little bit so I just ran it. You could change the oil after to be extra thorough though. Thanks for watching!
The head gasket would need to fail between the cylinder and coolant to see smoke.. you shouldn't see white smoke if it failed between coolant and oil in that case its milk shake on the oil dipstick.. .
That stuff is crap it blew out my radiator and my radiator never leaked before it blew the whole top off it does shut swelled up inside the radiator and made my radiator come apart
I have milky oil should I change my oil before using the pour and go cuz I have already replaced valve cover gasket thermostat water pump on it and it coolant reservoir was flushed and refilled and oil change but recently my temp gauge sensor went bad and my reservoir had to be replaced cuz it was burning through coolant I know its a minor issue cuz I haven't really driven it since August of this year
He is using the yellow label. The pour n go is the all blue and white label and doesn’t work as good only small issue. The big yellow bottle is more concentrated and you must remove thermostat. Don’t even bother with pour n go unless you can’t remove your thermostat but I recommend either way you do.
I got a Dodge ram 1500 with the 4.7l with blown head gaskets. I have all the parts to replace the head gaskets a new water pump and all. But I think I want to try this stuff and see if it can get me by for a while and than replace everything I need the truck bad right now. What would you do?
if the coolant is bubbling in your coolant reservoir, what does that mean? Kinds of looks like air pushing through water. Its not alot. The coolant looks clean though. Oil looks clean too. And no overheating I believe. Does it seej like I have a minor head gasket leak?
Great video. Question: I have a bmw 528i and there is no radiator cap. Only the reservoir cap. I’ve seen other videos saying NOT to put this is the reservoir but ONLY in the radiator. How is the best way to proceed on this type of radiator situation? I don’t have fluid going into the oil. So no chocolate milk situation, but is coming out of the exhaust and no misfiring yet in the cylinder. But that is probably coming down the road. Please advise...

You need to do it the right way . If it’s really bad head gasket, No this won’t work You need to clean the system first , flush it twice ...Remove Remove Remove the thermostat..... Add it as it say , and then leave the car set for a day after treatment and be easy on the car the first 100 mile . That’s how it’s work 100% If your head gasket bad really bad , this product won’t work , just take it to the shop and fix it
I have a 99 grand caravan, it ran Hot, I made it home, changed the leaking water pump, I have water in the oil, now I know where the water was leaking to. Steam coming out exhaust,,,, is it to far gone to use blue devil and at what point should I change oil during the process if Blue Devil is recommended.
I deeply need help from someone because I don't have any money right now but I need to fix my car because it is the only way I can go to work back and forth. I wanted to try this method but I cannot understand the hoses I need to remove, in some videos, they only mentioned to remove the thermostat then flush the coolant, after that, pour the Blue Devil, let it run for an hour, then let it cool again for an hour, then bring back the thermostat, test drive for about 20 minutes or so(driving slow) then check again after 24hrs if the car is running great. The only sign right now is that the radiator has bubbles. My mechanic is telling me that I need a full top overhaul because of coolant has bubbles and it is blowing the water out of the radiator. I wanted to try something I watched on UA-cam where you flush out the coolant and then put a head gasket sealant and let it run for 30 mins then repeat if for 5 times. Some of the comments said it worked. But with the symptoms my car is showing, do I really need a top overhaul or can I try this out first? I'm thinking that the mechanic might just want that extra job for the money. I will really appreciate your respone on this. Great vid and keep it coming buddy! Cheers!
Nope. This product relies on the heat and pressure that occurs in the cylinder. There are products for a leaking freeze plug but I have no idea if they work or not. Thanks for watching!
Okay so do you mean to tell me that the reason people are complaining that the radiator clogs with head gasket sealer is because people fail to flush the radiator after using it? This sounds like the step in the instructions that prevents all the problems this chemical can cause.
have a m111 engine Mercedes Benz, mixing water and oil in the engine. Many mechanics in my country don't understand that a chemical like this exists and many think that if the gasket is damaged then the car over heated and the Cylinder head may have warped. Can I use this chemical? I strongly don't think the head warped
So did you drive the vehicle after all of this and is it still good? You changed the oil and it looked fine but just changing it and not driving it doesn't prove it worked
What? I can't drive someone's car for months and months to prove it worked. It worked in the shop and according to the owner it is still running strong. This is also a whole lot cheaper than doing 2 head gaskets since this was a V6. Thanks for watching!
Hello everybody! My 2003 civic always makes a 2-second air hissing/sucking sound when I shut the engine off. In addition to that, the coolant always fills the reservoir up and doesn't seem to go back to the radiator.
I was worried about him missing that step
@tiffanyv4205 it's temporary fix I tried it on my car but turns out it was my head gasket. It was done for. Blew that blue devil out and made a mess when it leaked again. I wouldn't suggest it.
Great video, I also like to spray everything with carb cleaner to clean off right into my throttle body so I can wash my intake valves with pieces of gasket and other debries, really make my vortec get that vortex...
If people changed coolant and flush the coolant system more often the head gaskets would hold up longer. Change coolant and brake fluids are often forgotten things on older cars
I had this done and my mechanic said it would last 20K miles, well it lasted 29K and about a year. Time for a re-treat.- Thank you with Blessings. Ken
Pretty good! Thanks for watching!
I found mine very early. The only reason I discovered this was because I was fixing an unrelated coolant leak and just happened to see some minor symptoms. I’ll give this a shot and hopefully it’ll work. I need it to because I can’t afford to replace the head gasket
Same. I found it when it was suddenly overheating and checked it was low on coolant. Whats the progress on your car now?
Any luck?
It work I did it and it have not ran hot yet so I recommend this before you spend a whole bunch of money
Exactly, it's not hard and it's a lot cheaper than a head gasket job. Thanks for watching Adrian!
did you put a new thermostat couple days later or you just left it without one?
Ur engine will blow if up sooner or later if you don't put a thermostat in
How long now?
1:43 i used a different one without removing the thermostat and it definitely broke my thermostat, but i think it fixed my head gasket because no more leaking coolant
Have it leak yet
Hi mate, great video. One point though there does seem to be two versions of the same product. One version you have to remove the thermostat etc and the other which is called “pour n go” you don’t have to. Don’t know whether the formulation is different but just different instructions to follow!!
There is also a Bar's Carbon that works with antifreeze and it is add and go...it works better than Blue in my opinion.
Great video well done got the same result one thing never run just water coolants are also lubricant for your water pump
I'm 3 years in the blue devil game, and it works great on small pin whole head gasket leaks.
I'm still shocked it worked this well. Thanks for watching!
Hopefully it’ll work for me. Mines just got a small pinhole just based on the small symptoms
@@2carpros hi mate love the video. I have an odd one (I may be overthinking it.) I had a few bubbles in expansion tank (that in itself can be minor) .....had major bubbling months ago dealer got it to a garage quickly and it had a therm. And coolant sensor (giving wring readings apparently and therm was opening very slowly ) . I not long changed oil .
Great video and great idea! I wouldn't recommend running straight water though. Water isn't kind to internal parts. 50/50 = happy coolant system. 🙂
Unless it can get to -60 like where I live lol
Totally baffled everytime i think about tap drinking water not good for engine internals..lol..
@@seandoyle4964 You must be up in Alaska with ALOT of those Joe Biden loving gun banning clowns?
You NEED to run JUST water and blue devil during treatment. AFTER you run the 50min and wait 2 hr for cooldown, you drain radiator and reinstall thermostat than close up and pour your COOLANT.
I guess my comment would be maybe you could drive the vehicle for 1000 miles I think that would really truly confirm the stuff works thanks for the video
Yeah that's a fair metric! But we have ran this truck for months now and over a 1000 miles and it is golden! Thanks for watching!

@@2carpros is it still working?
@@2carproshow's the truck doing now?

Am I wrong?
No a detergent would not help with sealing a headgasget. Thanks for watching!

Did it work?
If that is a code r 350 (5.7) engine , And the engine has a lot of miles and the engine has never had any major engine repairs . I would for sure replace the broken plastic intake gaskets , Biggest source of coolant leaking into the engine oil is the broken plastic intake gaskets around the water outlets of the cylinder heads. After that repair is done ,and you still have issue ( you overheated the engine ) then you should try Blue devil . Speaking from A GM tech who has done these repairs a lot . depending on how bad the condition Blue devil may work
As u r gm expert
Can blue devil work if transmission fluid leaking from front axle seal leak
Plus oil leak not much around valve cover
Milky oil cap yes
not milky dipstick
But no overheating and no other issues
Please reply in derails
Blue devil head gasket sealer should I use in coolant or oil
@@rajendramodusu5980 As it say on the bottle of Blue devil , it's for the coolant system .It helps seal head gasket leakage ,wear as coolant is leaking into the cylinder. Don't think it was designed to stop other types of leaks like external ones . You may have other problem with this engine .And if your axle seals are leaking ,then don't be cheap ,replace them . And over heating only shows up when coolant level become a issue . Lucas products are used to help stop some leakages from p/s trans /diff .Helps swell seals . But it's not a fix all in a can. Ok frond left axle I got new one 16 months ago and got it replace ( boot was torned and inside grease was dried no trans leak i got new one bcz their was lot of cranking sound while turning) by mechanic the moment my car was ready I took out of garage transmission leak from the end where their is seal ( after putting new cv axle)in 5 minutes I took bk to garage and he pushed it more inside as near seal some lock mechanism he didn't lock properly after that
It was fine
Now bk to current situation
I showed mechanic he jacked the car up showd me the leak and said u need seal( only seal of cv axle )I will get the seal and mechanic will replace it its 30minutes job that's OK
But I know oil is near valve cover and oil cap getting milky not the dipstick I d see overheating but burning smell under hood like oil or I d k what burning
My concern is will blue devil head gasket seal it if it's head gasket
I read that one need to take thermostat out before using blue devil and pour bluedevil in
Otherwise heater core and other things blocks
Is their any easy DIY test for head gasket at home to confirm if it's head gasket
Plus most imp is it ok to drive 7 miles bk and forth to wally( that's only place I need to go once week for grocery)?
I d want car to break on the way
So I am curious car is 2010 aveo only 80k miles but not worth spending much money on repairs like head gasket or something like that
I will appreciate your reply
Great video. I have a 2000 PT Cruiser , famous for blown head gasket. Going to try it. Fingers crossed. Thank you.
K&W Fiberlock stopped my leaking (POURING) freeze plug between engine and transmission. Mechanic wanted 3-500 to replace freeze plug. I don't need a heater core anyway in SC. If I do, I can fix that later. I'm driving again, that's all that matters right now.
That seems really high for just pulling a transmission and replacing a freeze plug. Thanks for watching!
Great job, Thank you for explaining every thing, my question is does the blue devil work if there is a small gas bubbles in coolant " small leak exhaust gas pass to coolant very small "
Yeah I'm pretty sure that is how it works. Thanks for watching!
My case is a fluid breach into external atmosphere.
you fixed i'have the same problem in my grand am se 2004 with
112k miles
So how's the vehicle doing 1 year later? Was curious to see if it was still going strong
Look at ChrisFix's video of using a head gasket sealer. The car he repaired lasted for two years without problems.
Still rocking! Driving it daily. Thanks for watching!
@@2carpros and now? :)
Excelente video....es necesario remover el blue devil o puede permanecer en el sistema?
Lo dejó. Pero el vive en el desierto. Lo llenó con 50/50
Yeah it works on an Engine idle but other than that make sure you do not gun it. You would blow that gasket leak material right out of there and then you're back to square one.
I've been gunning this S10 for months and months after this video. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. I may have to do this. When you have the heater all the way up does it matter about the heater fan? Should it be off or on high?
Heater fan on high, thanks for watching!
The heater is up so that the water flows. Fan doesn't matter. Turn the radio up high
The question is -
Can a punctured, poorly-fitted gasket leak exhaust gas into the oil system like into the cooling system?
And is it worth it to apply sealants or change the gasket? Should I use metal or paranitic?
On a metal smear SHELLAC or is it not worth doing?
Thanks in advance for any advice. And thanks for the interesting videos.
That engine and bay is actually clean as. Haha cool vid.

Yeah I am really impressed. They even make specific stuff for heater core too. Thanks for watching!

Of course not but if it delays the big fix for a few years, why not? Thanks for watching!
You should add anti freeze, regardless of weather. It will protect your cooling system from Rust.
Many people run just water in hotter climate. I always do 50/50 in my cars though. Thanks for watching!
Was the oil changed after the blue devil head gasket sealer?
I changed it before, then did the Blue Devil. After that the new oil wasn't milk shake at all. Not even a Even a little bit so I just ran it. You could change the oil after to be extra thorough though. Thanks for watching!
It would have been nice to see the exhaust smoke before then no smoke after.
It didn't smoke too bad it this case. It was just milkshaking the oil. Thanks for watching!
The head gasket would need to fail between the cylinder and coolant to see smoke.. you shouldn't see white smoke if it failed between coolant and oil in that case its milk shake on the oil dipstick.. .
Mine works well. I like the product
It was surprising! Thanks for watching Peter!
That stuff is crap it blew out my radiator and my radiator never leaked before it blew the whole top off it does shut swelled up inside the radiator and made my radiator come apart

You need to clean the system first , flush it twice ...Remove Remove Remove the thermostat.....
Add it as it say , and then leave the car set for a day after treatment and be easy on the car the first 100 mile .
That’s how it’s work 100%

Just pull headbolts, lift head, dump a can of copper spray in (both sides of gasket if possible) torque 20 past yield n leter rip.
How do I do it on a 2012 Prius? I don't see a radiator cap anywhere.
Cheers!
Couldn't hurt to try. Thanks for watching!

Still running to this day! Thanks for watching!
Okay so do you mean to tell me that the reason people are complaining that the radiator clogs with head gasket sealer is because people fail to flush the radiator after using it? This sounds like the step in the instructions that prevents all the problems this chemical can cause.
That is correct. Thanks for watching!

Yes and you’ll use a whole bottle. ( big bottle)

Hello everybody! My 2003 civic always makes a 2-second air hissing/sucking sound when I shut the engine off. In addition to that, the coolant always fills the reservoir up and doesn't seem to go back to the radiator. If I don't fill the coolant in the radiator up after a long ride or a few short rides, I'll get overheating. Someone told me that there's a leak from the coolant passage through the gasket to the outside. I don't see it mentioned in this video so I'm not sure if it's a thing. And if it's truly is, does anyone know a way to fix it? Does head gasket sealer help in this case? Thanks!
Ever find out the problem?
Do you happen to speed with the car also and it’s still drives normal ?
I don't drive it, it is owned by a family friend. Still running and driving. Thanks for watching!
I have a v6 3.0 ranger, should I spend the 70 dollars on the big bottle or will the smaller 16 ounce bottle be enough?
I'd get the bigger bottle, thanks for watching Nick!
So my 05 2,5 s Nissan Altima 4 cylinder won't start dealership said it was head gasket how would the chemical work if vehicle won't start it also has 114,on the dash and suggestions
A head gasket wouldn't prevent starting. Unless the engine is totally filled with coolant or something crazy like that. Thanks for watching!
great video as always
Thanks Joseph! Always nice to read your comments!

I have an subaru Impreza, and it is throwing water out trought the reservoir, i think its pressure from the engine into the cooling sistem, do you think it will work? There isnt water in the oil or anything, oil recently change and no water contamination.
So if there is a ton of bubbles coming out of the reservoir. Then this might help you. Thanks for watching!
@ raemmy did it work for your impresario? I have a legacy with the 2.5L with the same issue
