    This tank concept is on track, to be sure. Just tread carefully there, at the end. A lot to be tankful for. And all other bad, vaguely related puns. 🤪
    I think the microcontroller is a main idea to convey here -- it also work with just two diesel engine with separate gearboxes and clutches. Or any other approach -- experimentation is what it is all about in Stormworks, if one is into that. Always good with up to date little tutorials for Stormworks as things change now and then, so keep up the good work.

    That is one way to do it. 😁 i like the diesel-electric concept, I use it a lot.
    Are you planning on making more videos showing other ways to do it?
    One thing that could improve this design is using a type of power selection system that changes the max throttle of the motors, you could make it so that level one sets max throttle to 0.1, level 2 could be 0.3 level 3 0.5 etc.

    • @ProfNCognito
      @ProfNCognito  2 роки тому +1

      Thats a good idea. And If this gets enough attention I might consider continuing on with it but for now its just to get the tracks moving for people. They should be able to build whatever engine style they want with this setup.

    Have you ever tried Building or using a Landing Craft Tank Mk. 5 (LCT Mk. 5) in Stormworks or an LVT-4 Water Buffalo (Landing Vehicle Tracked) to Fight the AI Forces in the Weapons DLC? If you know what these two Vehicles are and feel up for a Challenge then I'll leave the Specs for both down below, but in case you don't know, the LVT-4 Water Buffalo was an Amphibious Vehicle use in World War Two mainly by the U.S. Marine Corps in the Island Hopping Campaign starting in Tarawa in Late 1943, but was also used by the British and Commonwealth Armies in Europe during River Crossings or more Prominently in the Battle of the Schledt Estuary in 1944 and the Rhine River Crossings in 1945 under the Nickname "Alligators". The LCT Mk. 5 was an American Development of the LCT Family with Production running from 1942 to 1944. It could hold up to 5 M4 Sherman Medium Tanks, 3 Heavy Tanks like the British Churchill Mk. VII, 9 Trucks or 150 short Tons of Cargo and the LVT-4 could hold up to 9,000 lbs of Payload in it's Rearward Passenger Compartment or 30 Fully Equipped Troops or a Single Jeep Willys MB (Albeit a Somewhat Tight fit if you're trying to move around in the Water Buffalo if you're being brought ashore so best to just stay in the Jeep). The Most Famous Operation for both of these Vehicles is The Walcheren Landings in Late October/Early November 1944 when British Royal Marine Commandos landed after the RAF bombed Breeches in the Islands Dikes some the LCT's Carrying the Commando laiden Water Buffalos could make it into the Beaches. There, the Landing Craft lowered the Ramps and the Water Buffalos with the Commandos slowly Rolled out into the Flooded areas and within about 2 weeks Walcheren Island had been secured along with about 500,000 German Soldiers (Mostly SS troops) captured.
    The Colors for the Water Buffalos varied depending on who used them and which Theater they were in as well as what Time period of the War in terms of those used in the Pacific. The U.S. Marine Corps started using them in the same Ocean Gray (118, 120, 140) color as the LCVP's (or Higgins Boats) were being painted in, but as the Pacific War went on and when the Japanese started to defend from behind the Beaches and deeper into the Jungles the Marines later started painting them in Olive Drab (107, 142, 35) as well as limiting the amount of Stars or other Markings on them so as to not point out a Possible weak spot on them and eventually using multiple colors to further camouflage the Water Buffalos. In British Service they were usually painted in the British Olive Drab which was more of an Olive Green (64, 70, 39) but the Ones used for the Rhine River Crossings were painted in what might've been what the Royal Navy called "Light Sea Blue" (68, 167, 196) as they actually were blue.
    Enough about the History and the Motley of Colors for these Guys and let's get into the Specs.

      I love the historical stuff a lot. I try not to build things that are accurate builds because there are so many things that have to look right (my tucumcari build stressed me out). I try to build just for purpose now and see what strange shapes i end up with, but i use old photos of things for inspiration all the time. Everything i build is inspiration from some other thing from our past. Thanks for all the information. The discord might like this info if want to join that and post that there. No pressure.

It up working fine, if it wasn't for the engine immediately revving as if I was flooring it, without my input, and then stalling shortly after.
