commercial fishing or personal? im about to start doing this full time i think in ky and see how it goes. ive done it a few times arleady its kinda fun. but hard work also. i like to use shad. they fit on the hooks perfectly for cats.
I do it for fun. Its my fav way to fish. I toss back stuff over 10lbs cause I dont see as many big ones as I use to. Dude who taught me did it commerical for a long time but jt stopped being profitable for him for the work that went into it. Good luck! Stay in touch with your troting!
@@stankbaitfishing7914 ya it pays low but you just need to set up right so you can catch enough lbs to make it profitable. some days i do bad but some days i do good average its not bad. and im still in my first year i have shorts on my channel.
Practicing my survival skills. Haha Na for real we have fish cookouts every trip we take out there from bank fishing between trot runs. I love running trot lines and seeing what I get.
Run turtle run
Cool intro. Nice day out there. I really liked the shot at 9:56 with the sun behind ya and the release. Looking forward to seeing more!
Thanks! Gave you a sub and look forward to checking out some of your content!
@@stankbaitfishing7914 Thanks man!
Nice Dude! Like the new Intro 👍
Thanks for the feedback! Was on the fence about it.
Biggest damn trot line I’d ever seen😂
Thanks for watching! At its height it was 200 hooks and just about 1700' long. Ive toned it back over the years.
@@stankbaitfishing7914 wow! What state are you fishing in?
Very good job 👍 🎉
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! What kind and size of hooks do you use?
I have started using several diff ones but lately 2/0 gamagatsu has been my favs. #4 mustads are nice as well

Why go to the trouble to put out a giant trotline to throw back good eating size cats?

Why set lines if your going to throw them back?
I love trot lining. Sometimes I keep fish sometimes I don’t. End of the day it’s just something I love to do.
I had the same question. Glad you're having fun!
Did the turtle get eaten.
I released that one. I have tried them in the past.
