Jeff, I can't get enough of them. Just taken on my first allotment and plan to have one of my 6 beds just for peonies. I absolutely love them. They are my signal to the start of summer. Great advice. Thank you. x
Hi there, don't worry about messing it up, practice makes perfect when it comes to plants :) Our top tips for planting Peonies is to sight them in a full sun position, provide shelter from strong winds, water generously after planting and then water periodically during the growing season. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I just planted peonies from roots I see the buds but didn’t grow what’s wrong with it , I love peonies now yesterday I bought another bulb which I will plant outside today how deep should be the bulb.
Hi there, the problem with your peonies could be that the plant got enough sun in early spring to generate the buds but a nearby tree grew back its leaves and the sun is now blocked. The buds die because the plants no longer get enough sun to support the blossoms. Or if your peony is unable to bring up enough nutrients from the soil, they may not be able to support the buds When planting, don’t plant too deep. The eyes of the peony roots should be no more than 3-5cm below the soil surface. Any deeper and they may not flower well. Thanks for your question!
Peonies don't mind being moved as much as Jeff would have you believe. And I love these videos but the ones he got in the post were dug up and divided. Peonies by the millions are dug up, divided, and shipped around the world every year. Peonies are very forgiving plants as long as you plant them in organically rich soil, mulch them, fertilize them and don't plant them too deeply. One of my favorites and I grow many!
Nothing is more gorgeous and smells more fragrant than a peony in full bloom!! One of the best perennials out there. And they live forever

Miles Away what size pot do you recommend? & can I grow two types in one pot??
Too close together...2-3 feet apart!
