    This makes SOOOOO much sense! Thank you for shedding this light. This is EXACTLY what had happy me. I developed really bad leaky gut and SIBO. It’s was causing me so many serious health issues and after going strictly carnivore I started developing new “symptoms and issues.”
    Finally figuring it out, I’ve literally had to become my own Dr, because over 3 years and almost seen by 30+ different “doctors” they are all disappointing, and dismissive. They would look at me and say.. “you fine.” I felt like NOBODY was listening.
    I had to go outside of the norm to get parasitic/fungal testing to see what type of bacteria were happening in my body and even when I got those results back, I presented them to several doctors, including my Gastro and she played it off like everybody has those strains Yet when I go do the research look at each strain and even the parasites they found inside of me. They caused all the exact serious symptoms that I was having yet I’m being dismissed. It’s bullshit.
    I then had to go research the bacteria and the parasites they found and figure out how to treat each one individually and I’m still in the middle of this process while everyone just shaking their head like sorry kid don’t know what to tell. You don’t know what’s wrong with you, and they didn’t even actually try. Not one doctor in three years asked me what my stools were like? Not one doctor asked me what my diet was like not one doctor even offered and their expertise or experience to offer up any type of new Testing that they would recommend. I’ve literally had to do all my own research and find out about organic acids test because I suspected this was some type of overgrowth of invasion or bacteria or virus or something and Shernoff I was right and every doctor downplayed it and then when I go to question them, they’re feeling like I’m challenging their ego when that’s not what’s happening I have every right to question Who’s ever it is that I am trusting my health and my body with to do their fucking job because so far no one seems to know what they’re doing. It’s an absolute crock of shit, so thank you for this video cause I’m literally having to obsessively research become my own doctor and figure out my own treatment plan because nobody else seems to know what the fuck they’re doing. It’s pathetic.

      I can relate to your personal experience and understand you and your self-care and do your own research. I have been doing my own research and reading more books on health issues more than most of the doctors out there. I feel that nobody cares about you and your health than you. I spend 90% of my free time researching by reading books, articles and watching videos on social media on all health issues. You keep on your research and caring for yourself because doctors don't care. It's just a job for them. Best wishes of great health and happiness to you!

    My carnivore experience: I did carnivore for 1.5 months. I lost 10 pounds and had my ADHD issues disappear, which was thrilling. However,I started getting GERD and poor bile flow - neither of which I’d ever experienced, so it took a lot of research to figure out. Thankfully, I found TC, who led me to beet flow, HCl, and digestive enzymes. After even just a week, I was ready to start back with carnivore!

    If you have been eating low fat for a long time you may have gallstones, bc bile continues to concentrate in the gallbladder, any high fat diet is gonna expose that as your gb tries to excrete bile. Better to research that before transitioning from a low fat diet.
    Humans have pH1.5 stomach acid(0.3 more acidic than average scavenger), while average carnivore animal has pH3.5. I don't know how low can the acidity get but, shouldn't it be enough even when acidity is low? Also don't drink water around your meals if your stomach acid is low. Plant fibers doesn't break down in the stomach acid, that's why you can see whole plant materials in stool, herbivores ferment them in their stomach(s) and guts. I think carnivore fixes some gut issues bc your gut gets a rest in carnivore. I could start eating chili without it burning the exit after 7 months of non-strict carnivore.

I was advised to go vegan for 2.5 years because of having digestive bloat since I can remember being 4 years old. I am 56. Always always bloated and very sore. This vegan diet destroyed my gut. Going to the toilet 12 times day! Bowel just not emptying at once but in constant stages and then I would get so sore and uncomfortable that I would have to take pain killers. Then I did a faecal test and it came back with parasites and overgrowth. But the natural medication didn’t do anything. I still felt terrible. And now I’m
    Still bloated and feeling sick on carnivore with a racing heart and I feel exhausted! Thanks for explaining this to me. What a long long road this is!

    I have been dealing with chronic diarrhea since I got diverticulitis from eating corn that got stuck in a diverticula, took 5 days of ciprofloxacin then started vomiting so I got off of it, but finished a course of flagyl. 6 weeks later I also had a colonoscopy and had a polyp removed. I am 69 years old, type 2 diabetes, and have done a low carb diet for some time, but I don't lose weight easily. I had lost 25 lbs and then over a year gained it all back. I have been to my doctor and was tested for C-diff, parasites, and pancreatic enzymes and for IBS and Crohn's, all tested negative. I decided in the last month to go on a carnivore diet, and it helped a little, but certain things I eat tend to make diarrhea worse than others. I do also get a very light bit of pain on my right side near my gallbladder, however, I also had an ultrasound of my entire abdominal area and showed no problems with my gall bladder. I want to eat carnivore to keep my blood sugar low, because when I eat any carbs it raises my blood sugar levels and cravings. I have not lost more than about 3-4 lbs in the last month. I have no clue what is causing the diarrhea for over 9 months now. I am thinking you might be right about the sticky bile.

    Almost done reading your book. Love it.
    As an engineer data, not symptom, driven decision rules and the analysis sheet in the book indicated too low breath rate. You bet it is.
    Now I, as I write in bed, have hard time sleeping when body tries to keep CO2 levels up by almost choking me. Will eventually fall into sleep but this is NOT cool, drives me crazy and not sustainable.
    I went in too hard on keto/carnivore and now I need to back off, rethink and replan my next steps.
    Used to do 72-100h fasting and that worked great. I didn’t follow any strict diets but have hard time controlling my carb intake and aimed for a low to zero carb so my ”carb eating disorder” could be controlled. Back to the drawing board it is…
    I have hiatus hernia and silent reflux that need tackling.
    Weight goals are reached and I can easily tune if I feel for it.
    Now I want to feel great, have my strength and stamina back.

    I made this mistake when trying the carnivore diet! The information I got on it didn't emphasize digestive health enough so I jumped right in. The first day was okay (besides a splitting headache) until I had dinner. It sat in my stomach for hours and I woke up in the night feeling like I was going to throw up. The second day I had zero appetite and couldn't stomach the idea of eating any meat or fat. The only thing I could imagine eating was some fruit, so I decided to go back to what I was eating before to deal with my digestive issues (and be able to function at work). Then I realized I'd had little appetite as of late and some other signs of lower stomach acid than normal. For whatever reason I just haven't been dealing with it though it's been an issue for years. I appreciate your videos on carnivore because you are a lot more realistic about potential issues, which are always possible.

I see al lot of goeroes eating so much meat that I can't even eat that in a whole week. Is it true that when you eat too much protein that the protein can create, due to the nitrogen, an ammonia problem? I'm reminded of this guy who has a stoma who says the content of his pouch is basically "clean" as opposed to when he's eating vegetables, seeing undigested mushrooms in his pouch. ua-cam.com/video/dGu1CauqpXs/v-deo.html

    I tried carnivore/ketovore about a year ago. It ended after 3 months with gastritis and pancreas pain...
    Now I'm on a lighter version of this diet - meat&fruit by Paul Saladino (plus some rice and other veggies) - and everything was great until early June, when I got acid reflux. And it's a strange reflux - no stomach pain, no esophagus pain, I feel it only in my throat. A doctor, laryngologist told me I have gerd, when I sought help with throat issues.
    Something is definitely wrong with my digestion. Also I noticed in the toilet that the color of what I get rid of daily was too light, sometimes even yellow-greenish. No diarrhea or constipation, but a strange color (and sometimes floating).
    Anyway, thanks for your videos. Very informative and helps me collect my thoughts on the situation.

    So what you're saying is that slow breathing rate = alkaline blood (too little Co2 in the blood).
    But shouldn't it be the opposite?
    Someone who is hyperventilating (fast breathing rate) loses a lot of Co2 and ends up with an alkaline blood (pseudo hypoxia).
    In that case, slowing down the breath (minimizing Co2 loses) brings them out of a panic attack. Also the reason for breathing into a paper bag (to bring Co2 up).
    FAST breathing = Co2 losses = alkaline blood.
    You seem to say the opposite

    • @KickItNaturally
      @KickItNaturally  Рік тому +1

      It's just a confusing topic at first @Ben Max, you'll actually see that you are even saying the opposite above. :) The reason that the paper bag can help relieve a panic attack is because the person is re-inhaling their own CO2, therefore acidifying the blood more. And again make sure you understand that a breath rate is not diagnostic for anything. these are just clues about how the body is operating. Also understand that a panic attack can have a variety of underlying causes and in some cases, trying to alter the pH of the blood will have no effect on the cause of that panic attack. make sense?

    • @benmax6740
      @benmax6740 Рік тому

      @@KickItNaturally Thank you for your response. I actually mentioned two sides of the same spectrum.
      The end goal is to have more Co2 in the blood which will cause an exchange of oxygen from the blood into the tissues (which is what we want).
      A slow breathing rate does exactly that.
      FAST breathing rate cause a loss of Co2 and hence alkalosis and hypoxia.
      The book 'Breath' by James Nestor mentions this idea in great detail and he advocates slow breathing rate.
      The slower the breathing rate, the more Co2 in the blood and more oxygen availability and utilization by the tissue. That's why he advocates breath holding after exhalation.
      I understand it's not a diagnostic tool but it can give big insights into someone's acid base balance and sympathetic and para sympathetic dominance.
      Hope that was clear :)

    • @KickItNaturally
      @KickItNaturally  Рік тому

      yeah, we see people write about this all the time, like adjusting your breathing is going to fix the problem. Unfortunately, the breath rate is a function of the body trying to correct a problem and not something we should force. Keep in mind that there are many other reasons beyond just CO2 that can affect the pH of the blood and it's the pH of the blood that affects whether or not oxygen can get to where it needs to be. So when a person uses one of these methods to try and change their breath rate, it's like going up to an angry dog that is growling at you, grabbing his tail and then wagging it. Happy dogs wag their tail so if a dog is mad, just wag his tail and it will fine, right? I'll let you know that it doesn't go well and that's why a lot of these people doing these breathing exercises will pass out. That's why instead of trying to have a person change the rate at which they breathe, we like to help them correct imbalances so the body will change the rate at which it breathes naturally. It's true that changing your breath rate can change CO2 levels and affect pH, but it doesn't correct the underlying cause of the blood being out of balance in the first place. It's like trying to change cholesterol levels by changing the amount of cholesterol you consume. It won't work because the body will just make more if it needs more. The body is smarter than we are so we like to work with our body instead of against it.
