    I don't often comment on videos but this was so simply done and that made it one of the best explanation videos I've seen. Thank you.

    This was so super wonderful! It was short and simple yet packed with so much information! I loved the explanation of the different sized ends and how to properly use the little handle. AND... the music was fabulous, super fun but not at all distracting.

      You can also use the handle to hook onto something like the end of an ironing board and pull the fabric through as you iron it.

    Good job of showing it. It would have been better if the words on the screen would give us a chance to read it. It is also, helpful to pin the fabric to the ironing board as you pull it through and iron it.

    So if the the tape maker says it's 25 millimeters does that mean I cut my fabric 25 mm wide?

    • @EasyPeasyCreativeIdeas
      @EasyPeasyCreativeIdeas  4 роки тому +10

      If the tape maker says the end tape is 25mm you'll need to cut 50mm. The 25mm is the finished size and you need to double that number to make bias tape.

    the tutorial is good, but I still cant get it right after following the instructions. I'm using cotton lawn that has been starched to give it some body, but only one side of the bias tape is turning over properly and the other is not. I'm not sure why, will experiment with other fabrics

  • @lynettemclean5215
    @lynettemclean5215 Рік тому

    I’ve bought the tool and been so frustrated . The material has to go in continually straight to get two folded edges that are equal. I’ve tried and sweated and tried but it doesn’t seem to work for me. Some times sewing is 😰😭😭😭😭

      What keeps the fabric from fraying? I’m using bias tape for straps, and to my knowledge the store bought bias tape raw edge doesn’t fray
      If you’re using your own cut fabric to create bias tape, would it unravel if the edge is left raw ?

    • @EasyPeasyCreativeIdeas

      Yay! That's my question. My makers are metric and my strip cutter is standard measure. The fabric doesn't fit nicely into the maker. I tried to find makers in inches or a cutting mat w metric marks (ok, I can do it the hard way and hand cut strips!) but to no avail.😣
      Love the video😙 but kill the music.😐

    • @PoweredByRedstonecom
      @PoweredByRedstonecom 4 роки тому +3

      @@grandmalovesmebest whatever your maker is numbered, double it. so for 12mm (1/2") your strip is 24mm (1 in) they aren't a precise device.
      so for the makers shown in this video, 6mm needs a 1/2 inch, 12 needs 1 inch, 18 needs 1.5 inch, 25 needs 2 inch
