🤣
I want some now lol, probably cant get it at the walmart though..
@@chameleonvisit3172 Probably not, but you'd definitely be able to find it at your local asian grocery store! I bet you could get it online pretty easily, too. It's not expensive and it lasts forever in the fridge, but you'll find yourself putting it in everything once you cook with it once.
pure umami
Mix it with some soy sauce, sesame oil and sesame seeds, put it on a fried egg on bread or some rice and thank me later 😋
I love watching this man cook. His energy, the way he almost bounces around his kitchen; like there’s a melody in his head of culinary exceptionalism that manifests into flavorful decadent art on a plate. Gordon : *Takes 10 mins while explaining everything*
Me : *Takes an hour with utmost concentration*
Lol 😆 right
I swear I've watched this before and thought the same thing both times. I didn't say anything the first time because it's Uncle Gordon and he's literally a legend in my eyes. Just feels like he's teaching some bad health and safety habits in this vid:
- Cuts raw chicken on a board on top of the board he preps ready to eat veg in (yes.. it's possible for meat juices to splash on the board below).
- Wipes the raw chicken board with the kitchen towel at his waist (@2:36) (and also his hands many times while preparing raw meat) and then repeatedly uses that same towel to wipe the surface he preps the raw veg for consumption on
- does not appear to use handwash/soap when washing hands after preparing raw meat (perhaps the handwash could have been hidden out of sight in the sink for presentational reasons but still giving a bad lesson).
Much of the food prepared for consumption will have been cross contaminated with potentially harmful bacteria.
It's actually worse than that. The bowl with the egg actually touches the surface where the raw chicken was sitting, and then goes onto the same board where Gordon later chops vegetables, then assembles the burgers, with buns sitting where raw chicken juices have touched. Worse still, Gordon wiped the surface with his towel, the same one he keeps wiping his hands on, so that bacteria is being transferred to everything he touches. I see this same bad practice in a lot of UK restaurants, and nobody seems to care, even though it's supposed to be illegal and should result in you losing hygiene stars and potentially being shut down. We have a very corrupt system when it comes to restaurants, because nursery kitchens, retirement home kitchens, they're policed properly and would not be able to get away with this.
Maybe the meat is already washed or clean or something? Idk man tell me if I am wrong I am a vegetarian
@@i.m.nager123 washing it not really going to do anything to the germs and bacteria
He only had 10 minites, gotta cut some time
Gordan:"Uncooked flour which is not very nice"
The flour: "yes chef, sorry chef"

I’ve never EVER seen anyone other than Chef Ramsay show so much enthusiasm when it comes to everything cooking. I can’t wait to try this myself however the where does one get the fermented chili paste. I’ve not seen it at any of the local stores I shop at
I seen more enthusiasm from my Grandmother cooking then Gordon Ramsay lol just joking.
I'd recommend going to a local Asian market for fermented chili paste.
Its called Gochujang you can find it at Asian or Korean markets or online I have seen it, there are different spice levels so maybe dona bit of research. Check out the channel ‘Aaron & Claire’ he has a lot of recipes and also Maangchi she also has a guide video to buying Korean ingredients.
Tesco has it :)
I love these recipes, but there's always one or two ingredients you can't find locally. I usually get stuff like that from Amazon.
I love how gordon always has this boot camp vibe going
When i watch his videos i feel like im gonna have to apply to masterchef and have a lot expected of me
this would take me 1.5 hours to cook lol. i like that he uses simple, affordable ingredients.
The gochujang can cost a little bit more but it's an investment, it's a pretty big tub and it's usable in so many dishes.
Not if all the ingredients are already bought and prepared in front of you

As a Korean-American Cooking Mania, I prove that the fermented chili paste, kochujang that Gordon was using is from Korea, I use it here too! The same one, it’s delicious.
Love to watch Gordon cook up some quick and delicious meals! He dances around with such swiftness, as he goes. Boy that guy if full of energy! Go Chef R.😀👍😋👏👏
As a single full time father with a toddler. Thank you for these. I've found myself not having time to cook. But these cook in 10 videos are great.
I have tried a couple of this "in 10" recipes; first one took 45 mins and the second I managed it in under 30 XD, some serious skills required to pull it off in 20 let alone 10

Always wondered how much the hint of spices part if recipes matters. But Gordon makes it seem important the way he adds them with no hesitation
I love how he starts to kinda bounce and dance a little when he's multi-tasking. You can tell he gets into a bit of a rhythm. Always entertaining to watch.
This is the first time I notice that Gordon didn't toast his buns.
I think the soft buns complement a crispy cornflaky chicken :) if he had toasted the buns, everything would have been "hard"
@@Jejdjejbfjf yasssss
@@Jejdjejbfjf I think he just ran out of time like always 🤣
He pre-toasted. Probably couldn’t fit it in to 10 minutes.
I’d have preferred he showed the bun toasting and left out the cucumber since cucumber adds zero flavor and only mild texture to a sandwich.
@@Jejdjejbfjf Agree. I met a Chef once that said that he almost never toasts buns, even on a burger. The idea was that the bun soaks up the flavor and releases it when you bite into it. If you toast them, the flavors just drip off on your fingers while you are trying to get a bite.

When I get bored I always watch Gordon hahahahaha the way he talk enthusiastically in the kitchen makes it entertaining
Gordon made my day, I use corn flakes or corn Chex instead of bread crumbs in many meals because I can’t eat gluten. Now I know the best chef I’ve seen sometimes does the same!
You probably can eat gluten. Look into old style fermentation, heirloom grains, and grain not sprayed with horrible pesticides
People say they can’t eat gluten “yes you can it’s the pesticides etc…” people say they are lactose intolerant “ oh yeah me too”
I love him and all his cooking shows! Especially this one!! I couldn't stop watching him use his same towel to wipe his hands, wipe off the cutting board from raw chicken and wipe in the pan before he used it. Cornflake and chicken tenders with gravy and rice was my fave dish she made. Since she’s passed away recently I make it all the time. I figured her idea to use con flakes was her original idea haha. So this was a fun ingredient to see him use.
"prepare paper towel for getting them out and dry"
* puts a plate with paper towel in it *
* puts it aways a minute later and prepares another paper towel *
Because he touched it before washing his hands after touching the raw chicken.
The "Chilli Paste" Is called Gochujang for those who aren't aware of it. Splendid flavour and used in many many MANY korean dishes as well!
Yes - I actually use it like he does in mayo. Plus add it to vegetable bullion as a quick stock for a ramen.
Gordon is the best! I always love to watch him cook, very impressed 👋👍
I just ordered the book, and I can’t wait to start reading it, and making dinner or other things under 10 mins. Usually me and my wife get home very late from work and there is no time to make dinner. So this would be good for us

Haha funny I cooked the perfect Korean fried chicken wings two nights ago! Also used gochujang - the Korean chilli paste - (plus honey, ketchup, rice vinegar, garlic and finer for the spicy sauce).
These look really good the only question mark for my personal taste is the use of brioche bread for sandwiches - I find it far too sweet and a even bit sawdusty somehow. They work with cream and jam great but I can’t get my head around using them with savoury fillings.
Great content though - the tip for the cornflakes is very clever - and yes the Korean paste flavour is AMAZING. Wow

@@lolthien as someone who works with really rich people, that's the most overrated concept.
Lot's of successful people did things the right way instead of maxing out monetization strategies, because the long-term value is worth it.
