Brian is literally the best type of famous. Man got the bag, now he's just out doing whatever he wants to. Which seems like mainly golf and food and I'm so jealous
I think he also does show up on some of the other casts' podcasts.
Also seems just so chill
he'definitely got the bag with that 100k Patek
Bro's doing the sidequests.
@@jasonkeith2832 He has/had his own podcast iirc.
If they ever make a Ratatouille live action adaptation, they should cast Brian Baumgartner as Gusteau
Perfect for the role.
@@yehconfusedthis is a cooking video. get out of here with your half-assed political commentary
I can see Brian as Chef Gusteau.
He doesn’t have the voice
@@dog7881I’m sure he can. I think he barely sounds like Kevin
"He has an exceptional mouth" all i could think of was the mayo shot from the spongebob episode 😂
Laqueefis is a word that can only come out of an exceptional mouth.
That's what she said...but never to me 😢
He did, did a mayo shot in his mouth
You too?!
The Krabby Patty Supreme… funny enough that was the first BCU vid I ever saw
“Did you just call me Kevin” sent me 😂
I like how Brian still has the "awkwardly look at the camera" technique mastered
I wonder if the actors from the office have had a hard time breaking that habit lol
"I have a phone... I use it" -Kendall
Such an inspirational quote
“I sort of fell into chili”
This joke is being criminally overlooked
Or Overcooked
It's so cute how Babish can't hide his inner fanboy salivating over Brian. 😂
salivating is wild!
@@thesurge90 Not inaccurate tho
Or Kevin. Potato, Potahto.
I wonder what would happen if he got a cast member from Fraser.
@@marcpeterson1092 can he afford Kelsey Grammar?
Brian seems like a genuinely nice guy and its cool seeing him cooking with Babish, you to seem to be having fun
Seems so genuine, I love it
Brian is simultaneously the most intimidating looking man I've ever seen and a big teddy bear and it's the best thing ever
I agree
You should see him in Criminal Minds
My Mum (RIP in April) used to make something like this back when were kids in the '70s strictly birthday and party food only. She used cornflakes and plain salt crinkle cut potato chips 50/50 and use to egg them onto the chicken. She crushed the breading between two sheets of parchment with a rolling pin. She baked it in the oven and it was great. It was my late sister's birthday go to until she left home. So long Mum, so long Sis, and so long my boy Sage who loved it too.
If only I could get that recipe.
Brian looks so huggable. I really wanna give him a big bear hug and be hugged back.
Same here!
8:46 I love how the majority of us have gotten so used to Brian playing as Kevin that it’s just naturally became his new name
"He has an exceptional mouth."
Words that sailed a thousand ships
The visible, _palpable_ discomfort on Andy's face when she said that.
"It has flavor..." made me cackle. Sometimes you realize he truly is just Kevin.
I don't watch The Office, but I recognize the guy. Seems really cool/genuine. Glad to know he's a barbeque guy.
Here let me help - go watch it 😂
the secret is to not undercook the chicken
It really helps in killing the food poisoning
It also helps to not overcook it because then it becomes baby food
@@rodgers1207 everyone will get to know eachother in the oil
Overcook chicken…straight to jail!
Lol, I’m pretty sure the recipe from the book’s problem wasn’t UNDER cooking the chicken. 450 for 45 minutes, yikes! 😄
“This is the (chicken) skin of a killer, Bella”
Underrated comment
"He has an exceptional mouth." Poor Kendall really needs to choose her words better.
Relax
Honestly that made me laugh so hard when she said it.
with his past i agree, was over the line
Yeah she does
Andrew’s face at the end when Brian says “he’s nicer than he seems”😭😭
Always nice to have Kevi- I mean Brian on the show
Bri- Bri, Bri-
*_KEVIN!_*
Family favorite, but we use tenders, drizzle with butter and bake. Flakes get smashed in a Ziploc with a rolling pin. Salt, pepper and garlic powder go in the flakes prior to coating. ♥️
"They love the Plop"
Ian (Brutal Moose) voice in my head "plop!"
I want a Brutal Foods where Ian tries making this (probably in a microwave). At least it would be better than those awful looking hotdogs.
"He had an exceptional mouth." is what you should put on his tombstone. It was said. You own it now.
Do the *"Krabby Newburg"* from the SpongeBob episode *"Squilliam Returns"* next, please.
Do the roar
Bro thank you I’ve been asking UA-cam chefs this for at least a year now😂
I don't know what this is, but I want it done anyway.
I remember my mom buying Corn Flakes by the box and using them for breading, and my stepdad finishing the box for breakfasts for a few days after Mom cooked.
“He has an exceptional mouth!” 😂
I do want to know what else is in that Twilight cookbook... Out of morbid curiosity.
I'd guess something like candied rose petal cookies with a pomegranate glaze.
@@twofacedmgrim That tracks.
red jello cup dusted with mica powder. von appetism!
@@claytonrios1 You can find a preview on Google Books that includes the first 2 chapters. It seems like it's mostly just normal food with Twilight names (Wolf Pack Waffles or The Bella Bruscetta) with the occasional quote from the book that, sometimes very vaguely, ties into a recipe.
All I could think for most of this episode
Before the intro Andrew calls his employees indentured servants.
Before the outro Brain posits that Andrew is nicer than he seems.
My brain is playing tug-o-war.
He calls his employees, "Bishes"
Actualy, the secret is to flash fry the Chicken for about 3-4 minutes and then finish cooking in a 400F oven for 45 minutes. Turning every 15. You get the chicken fully cooked, not too brown, and still moist.
Also, let the flour set for 10 minutes before the egg wash. It gives the flour a chance to absorb the moisture from the chicken and properly adhere.
Cornflake Chicken used to be printed on the side of the box of Kellogg's Corn Flakes. My mother made it all the time. Crush the cornflakes until fine, add poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Dip the chicken in egg and milk wash. bread it with the crumbs. Place it on a foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 325 until done, about an hour. Turns out crispy without the deep fry. I line the cookie sheet with foil and bake it on the rack that fits the cookie sheet sprayed with oil. That way the bottom gets crispy also.
No one wants to mention that Kellogg's has had a cornflakes coated baked chicken recipe on the back of the box before?
You should make the "spicy" food from Dune/Dune 2.
Chicken crust options are wildly variable. Corn flakes? Yeah. Sour cream and onion potato chips? Sure. Tortilla chips? You betcha. Anything vaguely breadish and crumbly can work. Go nuts.
now i want to try it with Fritos
@@strawbearie9469 Then eat the chicken with chili for a frito chicken chili
I add powdered orange drink (Raro, Refresh, Tang, whatever is available where you are) and powdered ginger to the crumb.
Do Nuts work too?
@@tedarcher9120 i never tried. Peanuts might work.
Always great when everyone's favorite tiny whisk makes an appearance.
Oh, and Brian.
At the risk of offending Twilight fans, that chicken recipe perfectly encapsulates the personalities of Edward and Bella- bland and basic.
i have a feeling that twilight fans would agree
Ostrich: ahaha!
"He's nicer than he seems" 😂
I love these colabs so much they’re so great and always so much fun to watch ❤️
They look like they have so much fun together.
Brian honestly fits into the show so well. Better than any other guest you've ever had on. It just works. 😄
Great guy, love his sense of humor, love both episodes I've seen him in. Please bring Brian on for more than Office episodes. I will gladly watch them all.
I love Brians voice character in Trash Truck! Its a bedtime favorite of my daughters.
Kevin giving the Jim look to camera 😂
"He's nicer than he seems" is so deliciously backhanded
I love how these two interact with each other through out.
Cornflake chicken is nostalgic for me (even though I haven't had it in probably decades), my mom used to make it (also rice krispie chicken, which is the same thing but with rice krispies) when I was growing up in the '80s and '90s. I think the recipe she used was slightly different, iirc she used mayo as the... sticking agent? and I don't think she removed the skin. Also it was baked in the oven without frying.
Fried Orb from The Owl House episode, "Really Small Problems"
Yes, this, please
KEVIN, BUBULAH. WELCOME BACK
Brian needs to host a cooking show
Love this!
Side note: Please do a recipe from Gilmore girls! There is so much to choose from between Sookie's dishes like her famous risotto or her blueberry shortcake, or something that Emily had one of her cooks whip up for a Friday night dinner, or literally anything from Luke's diner! There are endless options to choose from because the Gilmore's love their food. Thank you!
Great idea! I’d love to see some of sookie’s food!
I was honestly thinking of making cornflakes chicken, saw it on the back of the cornflakes box in the kitchen, then this episode came out. Talk about timing
the jelly tarts from the dragon prince would be a wonderful addition to the binging with babish series!!!
14:56 Chili flashback
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Not even Kevin:
Kendall: what that mouth do?
Bryan's normal voice reminds me of a more enthusiastic Jamie Hyneman.
Jamie voice with Adam energy lol
Hey Andrew, I just watched your "last meal" over on the mythical kitchen and read your reddit post from about a year and a half ago, and I just want to say I loved your cooking content, but the stuff I really look forward to is the stuff with more of your personality. I hope you're well. ❤
I feel like at this point, Brian needs his own spinoff: Binging With Brian
I like how Brian for some reason makes him look incredibly short
That is because Babish is a short man.
and Brian is huge like 6'3 or 6'4
13:40 So when's the first episode of you and Kendall spending some quality time together coming out? 😂😂
Brian B is a bills fan and i LOVE THAT. Babish is a western new yorker so he better be too
He may be a Bills fan but that is a state of Wyoming logo on the hat.
Mayor's hot dog with ice cream, donuts, overeasy eggs, and pizza toppings from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. And if you can't make a giant hot dog, you'll have to make 4 for each topping
“Let’s get a bowl, we can’t beat it in the tray.”
“Oh, I can beat it in the tray.”
I do love the plops.
how many times has brian been to the babish studio by now?
I think this is his third time
Everyone fought the leviathan urge to say "that's what she said" when Brian said "I can beat it in a tray"
Kevin has such a nice voice.
Its allways fun having kevin around
the last season of Cobra Kai is premiering next week, you should make Johnny Lawrences Sloppy Joe sandwich and Daniel LaRussos Chocolate chip bananarama pancakes for a future show
Hey, it's the guy that might have done it with Jan!
Next to the IHOP
Wait….Kevin has a cookbook. Time to hit Amazon.
7:39 staring into the camera like he's,
Like he's on The
I agree. Kevin seems like a very regular, down to earth guy
I wonder how many times Babish called Brian Kevin, and those all just got cut. And I mean on accident, not even like when he said it as a joke
I have found your cast iron pans all the way over in Italy on a military base. They have an entire section of Babish products. They are always sold out, so people like your product. I have two cast irons already.
That was nice of Kevin to come out and teach Babbish how to make chicken.
Brian should be a monthly contributor to the universe!
everytime I feel like I'm inured to babish surprises, I get hit again. What a jovial fella
This episode of Brian with Babish was spectacular.
Though ive never watched any whole episode of the Office, Brian seems like a lovely friendly pleasant man
What an excellent collaboration.
"He's nicer than he seems" broke me!
Spicy Kendall in this episode, I love it
Thank you Alvin for letting Andrew make a video.
just saw Brian on "Keith Eats the Menu" and now this! the guys everywhere, seems like he's such a nice guy to meet
I hope this message reaches Brian, your character Kevin is literally one of my favorite characters of all time!
Brian is such a great presence in the babish kitchen. Somehow matches the vibe perfectly!
^^ I never watched The Office, but Brian looks like a really kind and lovable guy, and I hope he continues to do what he loves!
This is the second food show I've seen Brian on today! I watched the episode of "A Hotdog is a Sandwich" with him on earlier and now this!
05:04 Missed opportunity to add in the music from the pottery making scene in Ghost, lol.
Would love to see Brian back and cooking something from HIS cookbook w/ Babish!
Awesome to learn Brian is a fellow Georgian, even if more at heart these days
I’ve never watched The Office, if you had told me this was Babish’s dad or uncle I would 100% believe you. Their chemistry is unmatched.
These episodes with Brian are some of the funniest episodes of your shows.
Brian is the absolute best. What a gem of a human being.
My name is Kevin
That is my name
They call me Kevin
Cause that’s my name
My mom's chicken was like this, but honey-nut flakes instead of plain cornflakes.
Brian hinting that he’s in/working on another show gives me so much peace 😂
the way he acts i can tell hes a master at deadpan comedy, one of my favorite types!
Let's get that 3rd edition with the updated recipe!
I would love to see Baumgartner starring in a show unrelated to The Office. I loved his character there, but the more I see him in other contexts the more I realize how much he has to offer as an entertainer.
