Let's get one thing straight. Men ASSUME that a single women over a certain age are desperate. I'm single, successful and in my 40's AND NOT desperate which is why Im still single. I don't care how old, how lonely, etc I get I will not be used for sex or for my money. What I will do is live my life to the fullest by myself. It's sad that so many men have so little respect for women that they just use them. What kind of man are you? Where is your pride? I have no respect for gold digging men. Please do not make excuses for men who want to live off a woman. I know too many women who are providing financially for their men. Anonymously Yours I dealt with a guy like that & cut things off quickly when I realized he was cheap, selfish, self centered, irresponsible, ect. he wanted to hang out at my apartment ALL the time, but couldn't plan a date/ outing or even go out his way to show his admiration for me. ( he lives with his mom, don't have a car, ect) . I recognized early on he was just trying to use me as a meal ticket/ stepping stone & the sad part is he's 13 years older than me doing this BS. some guys don't take REJECTION well, when I cut all ties/ communication with him he started stalking/ harassing me & luckily once I filled a restraining order he stopped showing up at my apartment uninvited/ unannounced. absolutely ridiculous. needless to say I only deal with guys that are equally yoked & if they're broke, cheap & selfish in the beginning it only going to get worse

We considered marriage a few years ago when I was 26.... but the reason why our relationship ended was because he decided he no longer wanted to be Christian and he decided to be “spiritual” instead. I don’t believe in being with someone unequally yoked so I ended things with him. However, I noticed a lot of men in the church tend to be toxic and don’t support healthy relationship building. Idk, as a woman it is really hard to find a suitable mate. The person who has their life together can still be a person that is not good for you. Gold digging men are top tier bottom of the barrel. Someone i was involved with throughout all of undergrad was a gold digger and I’m sure he still is. Now that he has two kids, I’m sure he has someone paying his child support for him since his baby’s mother finally got hip to how despicable he is. It’s easy to get a job. These are the only positions that can make someone rich besides being a professional athlete or celebrity. I'm 11hr work 30 hrs a week and get disability i have my own place im not on section 8 and i have been in 2 relationships where i have been used for housing, sex, and money so don't say it doesn't happen to middle income to low-income people because it does

So going after people for money and looks is immature and foolish. If this is someone's goal in life they need to grow. Relationships should be based on mutual love and respect. I would rather be with a man with a regular body and kinda cute with a regular car and regular salary and have a happy and satisfying relationship (being treated well). I am a Believer in Jesus Christ and God is not okay with people being used. People are valuable to God.
