Thank you😊 this video is super helpful!
Great detailed video!
Thanks! 😊
Appreciate your video.
Very detailed and good advice
Thank you! 😊
Really helpful video!
Thank you!
For neutral cable, please take note, let said you have 3 x 2 gang switches in that area, you only need 1 neutral cable, and from there you tap to the other switch. don't need to lay 3 neutral cables separately.
Good point!
Hi, love the colour of your carpentry work at the entry way. May i know what colour/brand laminate did you use?
Sure! It's Panaplast Loft Birch
Hi, may I know how much it cost to fabricate a kitchen island?
Great video and thanks for the tips! But what do you mean by BTO Resale flat, is that a new flat type?
Oh ours is a resale flat but the previous owners BTO.
Hi, i'm thinking to plaster over my kitchen wall titles too, but i heard have to see the condition of the existing wall tiles first. Any comment on this? :)
You can use a coin to check if your wall tiles are hollow if you're worried about the condition (I have a video about tiling). If not then just hack and plaster should also be cheaper than hacking and retiling.
Do you mind to share more about the plastering of kitchen wall tiles? Any recommendation?
We plaster the kitchen wall tiles since we don't want to spend even more money to retile the kitchen. Just need to paint over the plaster. We don't do heavy cooking so we're ok with it.
@LivingwithSun the plastering is done by yourself or ID? I'm thinking to plaster the tiles since only a corner of it.
Oh it's done by our ID. I think they used something called easi plaster.
@@LivingwithSun thank you. Happy holidays!
Im also finding ID that is good! Its scary so many ID arounds not sure if they are good❤
You can use Hometrust 😉
Hi can i know how much does it cause to hack the existing floor tiles in your resale flat and laying of the new tiles?
Hi the costs are in the video. We didn't hack all the existing tiles in our flat, just overlay over the old tiles.
Hi, may I know the laminate code you used for your kitchen?
It's Panaplast Loft Birch
care to share what kind of e bidet did you guys uses?
Hi we use bidets from TOTO.
Hej! These wooden fronts in kitchen on bottom, what are they made of?
They are made with Plywood and laminate.
@@LivingwithSun ok, thanks. But what is the number of this plywood or maybe You have a link of this product in internet or some else information, that would help me find it in internet, hmm?
@fishingwithmakarony7 sure, the code for the laminate is Panaplast Loft Birch.
@@LivingwithSun Yes, thats it! Thanks very much! Cheers from Poland!:)
is it easy to clean the kitchen since there is no tile backsplash and there is only wall now?
Yup still easy to clean. We don't do heavy cooking so no oil stains on the plain wall so far.
I'm just wondering why you can't have slightly different levels for the bedroom and the living area. Is it so important to be level?
We wanted to minimise the risk of tripping and make it easier for us and our robot vacuum to clean. 🙂
It's not too expensive and at least it is possible without excessive disputes and delays in Singapore. The building industry is definitely a major mess in Australia.
That sounds stressful 😞
@@LivingwithSun I won't build here because of that.. except for DIY (which my wife won't let me 😂)
Hi. Please what's the code of your kitchen laminate? I love the natural Muji look.
It's Panaplast Loft Birch!
May I know where you bought your tiles from?
We bought our tiles from Hafary and Lian Seng Hin
also which vendor did you use for your bathroom doors? :) sounds reasonable
We went with Best Doors in Singapore
hi saw you are using lg aircon. any issues so far?
No issues so far. We've been using it for more than a year.
Hi I noticed you did not hack away all your tiles in your living room, but you have new living room tiles. May I know if you simply overlayed the new tiles onto the old tiles? Thank you!
Yup we just did an overlay
Hi ur living room new floor tiles is matte finish? Heard its harder to clean. Any thots?
Yea it's matte finish but not rough. I don't find it very hard to clean we just use the robot vacuum and mop.
Would you recommend ur ID? if yes, could you share which ID u used?
Quite neutral about our ID. There were some parts of the renovation that were quite stressful. You can PM me on Instagram if you want to know who the ID is.
Hi sun, are u a designer?
Nope, we are not designers.
4 room resale?? $60k renovation is quite affordable.
Yea, but we got our quotations in 2021. I think doing the same work now will be more expensive
After the covid saga, everything just bloom up by eye watering price increases…these type of simple renovation cost $30k to $40k max
I know right? Inflation is crazy. In the 1990s my mum only paid $10k for her HDB renovation. I think now in 2023/2024 it will be even higher.
Totally true! Nowadays I rather just buy teak wood furnitures instead of ply wood carpentry
