Their songs are just beautiful and magnificent. Both albums are up there for me. Underrated but perfect

Stunningly beautiful voice from david. Haunting. A dream of a song, and yes. 💞

Isn't it incredible how, whenever one of their songs ends, the world just suddenly feels empty and underwhelming for a moment or two. It's like they have you riding high on the crest of a beautiful wave and you suddenly come crashing back down to earth with a huge wallop when their music stops. Just overwhelmingly good.

Listen to it years ago and now I realise how amazing it really is

Played the heck out of this back then whilst I was at Uni... somehow, it just doesn't seem *THAT* long ago. Always thought this was a great pairing then, and still do.

    Bare with me:
Don’t like indie, grunge and was never into the whole U.K. sound etc. sister loved Suede and the single “Trash” came out and as I was older I looked up the members works etc.
Discovered Butler and then this duos release album. Purchased it on tape just by gut feeling. Since purchased it again on cd and a download version. I don’t mind paying again for an artist I feel deserves it. Honestly think this album is one of the greatest underrated pieces of English music. Fave song on the album “Whats The Excuse” or “You Do”
I can’t express the tears that have poured because of David McAlmont. A man I truly love

Also , I urge anyone who never purchased “The Sound Of McAlmont And Butler” to go and do it now. Grab a whisky, or wine, put your feet up and just go on the journey. You will smile, cry and also rewind some songs over and over.
      Thank me later!
