    I can remember when my parents used to go for dances in Kolmannskuppe. And Pastor Rust, who married my parents and christened me in the Felsenkirche in Lüderitz, used to walk from Lüderitz to Kolmannnskop to visit members of the congregation there. There's also a skittle alley where the balls were still out of wood!!!😊❤

    Great location and content, with some very useful pointers, as always. As much as I enjoy landscapes and cityscapes, I also like to photograph abandoned and spooky places. While not abandoned, the overgrown graves and tombs in London's Highgate Cemetery gives Highgate an abandoned, spooky feel. The Paris Catacombs can also be a source of some pretty creepy images. Both locations are readily accessible.

    An outstanding series of images in this video. Always good for a photographer to mix things up, in my opinion. Question: did you have to use a tilt-shift lens in order to get your door frames square/or parallel in series as they receded in the background to create a sense of depth? If not, what lens did you use?

    • @AndyMumford
      @AndyMumford  Рік тому

      Thanks so much for the comment. A tilt-shift would have been useful here, as well as a geared tripod head, but no, I just used a regular wide angle lens. The lens for each image is shown in the bottom left corner throughout the video (except when I show them again at the very end of the video), but basically I used the GF23mm for the images I shot with the GFX100S and the XF10-24mm for the images I shot with the X-T5.

    Hey Andy, stunning images mate. Can I ask why you didn't use your GF20-35? I would have thought the flexibility of the zoom in those tight places may have the better choice. Interested to know as I've got the 23 but have the 20-35 on order. Cheers.

    • @AndyMumford
      @AndyMumford  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the comment. Some of these images were shot last year when I didn't have the GF20-35mm. I'd originally intended to make this video during that trip, but the video I made of me speaking got corrupted so I decided to remake it on this year's trip. However I still used some of the images and b roll I shot last year. This year I didn't take the GFX as I was testing out the XF150-600mm, which is a massive lens, and carrying that alongside the GFX system was too much, so I just too the smaller cameras.
