Met Jim at Schubas in Chicago in the 90s. We chatted about cross-country skis and laundromats. What a nice guy!! Nice of him to name an album after me!
I been a bnl fan since 1991 when they were independent. i had eds hairdo in 94. it was fun. great song from a classic album gordon. enjoyed the video. mike from canada eh
Part of me is so grateful that I discovered them after they had already dropped several albums, and steve had dropped page one... but the other part of me wishes I could have been around as a fan the entire time they were coming up. I know I'll always regret not getting to see Steve part of the band. Their stage presence was so good back in the day. Love your channel been watching random videos for years, so thank you for the collection.
Man I love everything about this video. Not only was it the debut of "Brian Wilson," a great song about a great subject matter (and I don't even like rock music), but the banter between the band members and Conan is 100% on point and hilarious.
Conan's show actually started in 1993. I have the date of this performance as September 29, 1993. Also, I can't believe you didn't tape Gilligan's Pie-land.
I LOVE these guys!! They're better with Steven Page, though. He's at least half of the band!! Whatever happened in New York, is his own business. He's a key member. End of story.

Can we just appreciate how talented Andy is in this vid?
Smackin' those bongos like they owe him money
You mean in general?
Jim Creeggan: the Geddy Lee of upright bass.
What an incredible live performance. I'm sorry I am only seeing it 19 years later. Andy and Jim displayed incredible passion and energy.
The Creegan Bros. are on FIRE on this.
Energy levels are unreal.
Can you imagine 22 years ago?
Conan looks like...uhhh Conan.
Mr Dave I saw them live in October of 2015, they still have tons of energy.
These guys ROCKED this song right OUT of the ball park and then some!
These guys always sound incredible live!! I've seen them twice (both with Steven) and they blew my mind.
They were so polished and good even 20 years ago. Fucking amazing talent.
They are so freakin' great. I sure miss Steven.
You can feel the fire in these guys playing and singing,

So many good memories. Great song and performance. Thanks for posting.
They are awesome. I saw them in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan in 1993! They played at an outdoor event!!!
OMG a blast from the past, thank you.
lmao at the now-old school Ottawa Senators jersey, although that was there main jersey in 1993.
These guys were so good!
Absolutely an incredible performance, even looking back today!
I just love this video---better than the original one. These guys rock----thanks again for posting!
This is freaking awesome!!
So cool. This is the first time I saw BNL back in the day. A fan since then.
Ed got even better looking over the years IMO.
actually the quality is pretty good--thanks for sharing!!
LOL they're so Canadian... and 90's :P Love it :)
wow... pre Kevin Hearn! I never got to see them perform when Andy was still in the band.
I like seeing them when they were about my age, they were even more adorable.
Awesome!! Thank you!
Classic and phenomenal. Were then. Are now. Energy in 55 gallon drums!
Mike the Vet age 70. Honestly.
I need closure on that pie demonstration.
Will Steven Page be able to come back to BNL? That would be awesome!
Andy Creegan FTW!!!

"We almost broke up over that." Don't even joke about that! Stupid foreshadowing
Ed used to wear the coolest pants.
Andy is hilarious in this.
Conan rocks too!
I love 'Over Joy'
@janestclair He's like 22-23 in this video. It's freakin' crazy.

and Steve was (is) a hottie with the goatee!!
thats clearly kevin smith.
Oh wow. 90s fashion was crueller than I remember. Or maybe it's just Canadians... Great performance nevertheless!
+James Thomas They weren't trying to be fashionable, they are dressed like classic hipsters
@TheHYPO - Thanks for the info!
thats good
Whaddup with the Lincoln Logs.....?
I miss the old Steve :(
Nice 'stache, Steven.
Is that the actual film clip playing behind them?
I like if you love me and the chorus girl by Steven.
@luthierjustin1 Thats not a Tele :)
Ed playing a Tele
Definitely miss Andy's bongos!! Don't miss Ed's hair like that, though. Yikes!!
the situation stole ed's haristyle
he looks old
So Ed wanted a Wayne Gretzky song...THAT's why they broke up 16 years later!
