I think the most impressive part of this is how on point the backing vocals are. Everything was great, but those were flawless. Who would have thought by 2020 backing vocals would be a mere myth.
@@thebasedgodmax1163 McCartney confessed: "The Barenaked Ladies have to be my favourite. Their harmonies are right on. They could outsing us any day of the week. I don’t think John [Lennon] and myself ever had the sort of range they do."
When I was 13 I got drunk for the first time. It was withy friend Levi. It was Canada House. I had an 13" antena only TV in the loft of my garage. I had it tuned into this channel. It was fuzzy and not even close to the screens we use today. This song came on and Levi started singing along. Fast forward 24 years and Levi has passed away. I feel hurt but also a great deal of joy that I can listen and watch this again. R.IP. Levi
Man this takes me back to jr high. I always loved that there were feelgood songs like this you can just bump or chill to especially in the summer. I miss my youth so much. Now I'm in my 30s and life is adult.....
I was at this taping! Have a photo from when I met Jim Creeggan afterward as well. But even more exciting may have been seeing Jason Priestley, who was tagging along while filming the 'Barenaked in America' documentary. The night before I saw them headline The Theater at Madison Square Garden (with Cowboy Mouth opening) and immediately after the Conan taping they headed to Irving Plaza for a private show sponsored by 92.3 K-Rock radio.
Love these guys WITH Steven. Someone gifted me a copy of the (then) recently released Stunt, and I was stunned at having overlooked them for years. Silly me. Such a great band.
Yeah, saw them without Page a few years ago and, while they were fine, they weren't great like they used to be. Saw them with Hootie, and Hootie was amazing.
Barenaked Ladies performing "It's All Been Done" on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, October 8, 1998 is a better music video than Official Music Video for Barenaked Ladies - It's All Been Done from the album Stunt (1998). Barenaked Ladies live performances were as good or better than their studio recordings; check out Barenaked Ladies performing "It's All Been Done" at the Farm Aid concert in Bristow, Virginia on September 12, 1999. Thanks to their 2007 theme song on the “Big Bang Theory,” this band will never be forgotten.
You'd think these guys lip sync, wrongo! They harmonize like a pair of tits. Especially Steven and Lloyd. Just absolutely the best to see live. Sounds like the album and their showmanship is brilliant, Canada should be proud.
@@ColonelErnie Okay, not sure what you're talking about. The third verse was fine. That's like saying Billy Talent mucked up this is how it goes when they changed it in 2008. Trust me Robertson still appreciates Lloyd in his day to day life. However I appreciate you knowing who I was talking about. I hate that people don't appreciate the actual people who do the art, but rather listen to it, assume they know it (usually the overplayed stuff) and not know the people behind it. Kudos mate.

When Paul McCartney says you're better at harmonising than he and the rest of the Beatles were, you know you're damn good
@@Braddicusfinch did he actually say that or is it yet another one of those completely bullshit quotes somebody pretends he said about an artist?

What a fun song like I cannot get over how great this band was

22 years.....man its flown
Yeah, I remember watching this when it aired.
It really does. I was 18 when this aired.
I love how I found this old Conan looking for this song
I bought this album way back when...great album 👌❤️
0:56 okay those backing vocals were fantastic
Love it at 1:10 too when three of them sing 'done' coming in one after the other.
Great song and fun to play!
Damn. Amazing live performance.
Killer...tone is exceptional awesome performance 2thumbs up..
I'm glad they're still "together",but damb, they were good, back then.
Just A Great Song !!!!! 🌹❤️🌹
These guys were tight
Such a good and fun band. Wish they were still together.
um they are
Sorry, I should have have been more clear so all could understand, and said I wish Steven Page was still playing with them.
@@duaneho555 we all do, but saw them last year and they still kill
@@jevanglass9468 totally agree. I saw them in Alaska and it was an awesome concert.
Pop perfection
So nice
Amazing
Thank you
Man..Ayotte drums ❤️
Tyler sounded best on Ayottes, the 1996 live album Rock Spectacle is some of the best drum sounds I’ve ever heard

And.....nobody noticed Steve blowing the second verse. Lol. Great performance anyway. BNL FOREVER!
2:59. That eyeroll, he knew he got it mixed up
Strange twist...Tyler has hair and Ed doesn't!
You're blowing my mind right now.
Ed shaved his head in 98 due to Kevin hearn getting cancer to support him, watch the music video for Call and answer, he’s also rocking the look
rick2112rkrk Hahaha. Never noticed that. Good lookin out rick!
Where the hell is Ed's hair?
Mystery keyboard guy. Not Kevin Hearn. Wonder if was like spinal tap. Self combusting keyboard players.
andrew miller Kevin was sick at the time.
Kevin had to take breaks twice to deal with cancer. He is back with the band.

one definite clue that they're not lip syncing is Steve getting the words wrong in the 3rd verse. Also, Lloyd as you call him goes by Ed.
