If only the change could be possible where I live, which is a third-world country, that means that there's no psychotherapy available for everyone, just for who has the money, and it's more than the cost of other medical services, I understand that there's a lot of variables that determinates that, but still.

This is really interesting. I wish mental health was diagnosed like this. I went to the doctor the other day, because I think I have something like DID, and I mentioned I have voices in my head (co-consciousness). I got given pills for psychosis, to stop the voices in my head (which, without hearing them, my memory flunks and my moral compass is hard to gage (likes, dislikes, attitudes, ect)). I told them this wouldn't help me. They repeated it would.
For me, I think I would be scared to go to get a brain scan though. Even if it told me exactly what was wrong. It's like, coming to terms with the fact that you aren't lying, then having the possibility that a MACHINE will scientifically call you out for lying. I find that really scary. Reassurance doesn't beat science.
But anything is better than being given pills straight away for mental health issues, especially when there was no actual evidence of what the pills did. This system needs a reform. I'd prefer 'biological type 1 and 2 and 3' to 'here are your sugar pills, I'm sure they'll do something' and no mental health, any day, no matter how scary the scans would be.
