Thank you much for your time and effort to share the impact of these fires. Your aerial perspective really shows what happened and the amazing efforts of the fire crews to extinguish these under some very challenging conditions.

Thanks Reid! I agree wholeheartedly. That was the primary driver for me putting this one out.

Much respect for this. As a resident of Colorado Springs, I can say that Waldo Canyon and Black Forest fires are still on our minds. But these fires are astronomical compared to what we're used to, and saddens greatly, I go tubing not far fr the Hayman scar and see it all the time. It's so very sad that so much more of our beautiful forests will now resemble it. Much respect for our brave and extremely skilled firefighters who's brave efforts saved so much more of our treasured forestland and especially people's homes and small towns. They are the real heros. I hope things are mild at the least next summer. God bless.

Just started flying out of KBDU and volunteer with Fourmile FPD, this is a fantastic overview - thanks for creating this! Very informative and well made! Looking forward to doing some mountain flying soon.

As a Californian, I can really relate to this. We’ve had an absolute terrible run of fires the past few years. In fact, my family lost their home in one of the fires 4 years ago. I was in Steamboat back in mid 2020 and we had fires popping up all around us too. Sometimes feels like you just can’t get away from it, no matter where you go.

We usually have a few fires, but nothing like what we saw 2020. Wishing Colorado and California a better 2021!

Thanks for the video! I live in nearby Greeley and it was hell this past Summer & Fall with all the smoke/bad air quality days! Feel sorry for all that were directly impacted! The lack of decent snows this winter has me greatly concerned about a repeat this coming warm season! Anyhow, I'm just an aviation enthusiast and play MS 2020 on a VR headset. Watched several of your vids and enjoy what I see! Keep it up!

Love your videos - as a volunteer firefighter with Lefthand and a pilot, I appreciate your approach with this video, and you got some great footage as well. As a note on the Lefthand Canyon Fire, the reason that fire stayed so small is because they were able to get a ton of aviation resources on it immediately and basically ring it with retardant because so many aircraft were already operating in the area. Smart move on the ground by the incident commander on the ground to decide to order those resources and prevent this from really adding to the tragedy of the Calwood fire. BTW, just bought my first plane. Picking it up in 3 weeks, will be keeping it at KLMO.

Excellent video. Thanks for taking the time to film this for all of us who don't have any way to see what actually took place.

Thank you for this tour of the affected areas of these Colorado fires.
Amazing to see the sheer size of the burned areas and sad to see the level of destruction (both of the natural habitat and the homes & commercial structures) these powerful fires wrought. Many thanks to the dedicated folks who put their lives on the line to fight these fires and protect the lives and homes of their citizen neighbors.
Appreciate you sharing these flights with us.

Thank you for making this. We drive from Texas up to Estes Park every summer for the last 20+ years. Few years ago it was the flood damage that was gut wrenching, next summer will be the fires. Glad to see Grand Lake Lodge still there. Surprising since they had to cut down so much dead pine beetle damaged trees a few years ago. Hopefully that helped. Looks like the east side fire in RMNP almost got to Bear Lake Road which is scary.

Amazing video as always, but sobering to see all the damage at once from the air like this. You got some awesome shots of the old Rollins Pass rail bed this time! I recently started flight school out of KFNL, and honestly watching your videos are what pushed me over the hump to finally start learning to fly. I've made the short flight over to KLMO twice now. It sure was an amazing feeling flying the pattern myself after seeing it done in your videos a few times! It's so awesome to watch your professional videos of the same area I'm flying in! Keep it up!

Tanner, thanks for the comment. I really appreciate you letting me know that. To be honest, you’re the reason I put these videos out. I wanted to encourage the next generation of aviators to give it a shot. Keep up the flying lessons and say hi if you ever see me around.

I hadn't realized fires in Colorado had been so bad this year, California seems to be getting most of the coverage in Michigan.

It’s been terrible Tim. We expect the occasional fire in late summer but this year has been historic (in a very bad way)
