I've literally restarted on that three times by now. The opening ghost story, I can almost recite in full, but never made it past once the bridge got crossed

Imma be honest, I‘ve read it twice...and I don‘t really like it. I would even say it‘s my least favorite type moon VN.
It‘s setting is very whack and the story progression is all over the place.
It feels more like a slice of life story because it‘s like 70% Daytime everyday life clips and 30% Nighttime actual plot progression.
It also gave birth to the Shirou harem king myth in that it‘s basicly a somewhat combination of all 3 routes instead of just following one therefore you have all 3 main girls plus Medusa instead of just one love interest.
Of course it has it‘s great parts and the nighttime actual plot is pretty great with Bazett, Angra and Caren...
It‘s just that you have to go through so many generic slice of life sections that it‘s(at least FOR ME) very jarring to get through the whole thing
Shes one of the most realistic servants in the game if you have a problem just throw money at them

Angra Mainu buffing Caren by existing is a funny little detail, intentional or not. Hoping I can pull the entire Hollow Ataraxia trio eventually
She's Oberon compatible with BG. That's all she need to be one of the best farmers.
Karen with a K: Demands to see the manager.
Caren with a C: THE MANAGER. Slaps people into submission. Does not suffer Karens with a K lightly.
I forgot she was a servant until her banner dropped, immediately rolled until NP1 and called it a day.

This video is later than Shirou’s child support, although not Kotomine late. Yeah sure blame the ghost although Shirou’s years low sense of self worth, lack of self preservation, and lack of contraceptives didn’t help. Although this all applies to the real Caren and not this Caren.
The best thing about servants who have great skills but bad damage is that you can mitigate that with grails and np levels. And that's exactly what I did. Spent my half a year worth of savings to get np5, and next she is going to L120.
Needless to say, I am a huge fan.

@@wilthewise2277 I agree, that cost way to much money and quartz, but I got the NP6 (Actually got NP7 but it was just a fluke, used the tickets from the point ladder)
That’s actually pretty smart for an AOE quick, since most of the time you’re running a single target for 90+ anyways

I threw one multi at her on both my accounts and ended up getting her on one of them. That's good enough for me. I like being able to see interludes and stuff myself. But you're right, this year is just too stacked with must grabs to spend on her.

If you don't have Black Grail, a lower rarity CE that also deals damage at the end of turn is Awakened Will, which actually pairs ok with her NP drain from allies per turn assuming it successfully procs. That would be a 35% NP gain per turn if MLB'd, which could allow you to gain any extra charge you might need to get her up to 50% for the Skadi NP charge.

Remember kids, append your Skadis and don't be ashamed to run double Skadi and Caster Artoria. That NP gain up may be useful.

I remember on release in JP I said that her Np was gonna be so abusable due to her Hit Counts and class, most of my friends told me that being a ruler she's not gonna have a good damage but then we got to see her Passive, Skills and the eventual buffs through Appends, NP buff and the release of Oberon basically making her one of the best omni DPS in the game for CQs and Farming
I don’t know whether to attempt for her using a few of my tickets, saving up for Barghast is my current goal, I want the big dog.
I just realized that her np has angel and demon wings.
She's probably the closest to having Kefka Palazzo in a Fate game. Well, aside from Mephisto and the Limbo enthusiast.

The craziest part is that even tho summer skadi can have basically 4 support servants (herself + two on-field + plug), but with that NP buff caren outdamages her significantly if you utilize her kit properly (Use black grail or put a random avenger in backlines to activate her passive and don't miss those NP on your supports to feed to your caren).

Part of me wish that they gave her Upgrade a 10% Flat Charge like how Tez's NP does it. The damage is still nice but farming convenience would go longer ways
I really do not understand why Lasagna has not just blanket-buffed Bond CEs to be 1k/1k. What is even the logic there? Just end this stupid meme already, dev team.
Unfortunately that still isn't enough for most bond CEs. Yeah it will make SOME worthwhile using, but the issue in general would be far from fixed. There are still plenty bond CEs that don't make any sense on their servant even if you add stats to them (Kama for example)
@@aizeroth8858 Yeah but it's the least they could do. It would make some servants have viable ones, at the very least, and that's better than there being the current... like 5 or 6 that exist right now.

As a fan of Kirei, I got to say his daughter has some good potential, even if being Quick is doing it's level beast to handcap it. But she wouldn't be a Kotomine without disappoint or frustrating someone with her sheer existence, right?

I've been using her on JP as a all purpose farmer and she's amazing. Hear me out:
Caren (maxed charge append/50% CE) + Oberon + skadi/summer skadi + summer camp mystic code
1. Skadi dmg buffs, Oberon's skill 1, Caren's skill 1 + mystic code charge. NP.
2. Carens skill 3 + skadi charge. NP
3. Caren's skill 2, remaing Oberon buffs (debuffs included) + mystic code dmg buff
Note: Oberon's skill 1 gives the two supports 20% charge for Caren to take
Does she need three supports to loop with black grail? I tried double skadi and but even at np 2 and lvl 94 she still came up short.

Though I agree with the arts comment, and hell, Ruler Moriarty loses to the 4 star welfare arts ruler Iyo in terms of looping and she is released in the same year. Wish Caren was arts but oh well, what do.

I spent 600 SQ after saving for almost a year and got spooked by Jack the Ripper, Europa, Bradamante, a plethora of 4 stars and didn’t get her. I’m broke

So... if I understand correctly, Caren IS usable NP1, just not recommended? Or am I wrong?
She is, but you'll either have some issues clearing waves and/or getting enough refund. Castoria is recommended as a third charger because she fixes both those problems.

T1: Skadi-A All skills, swap for Castoria. Castoria S1-S2, Skadi-B S1, Caren S1. NP
T2: Skadi-B S2-3, Caren NP.
T3: Caren S2-3, Caren NP.
Not sure how well it wil work on certain classes as I only tested on doors but it was consistent.

Did you know that they did a deep dive into the game code and found out that Caren was supposed to be the first servant to have a 2nd playable NP before Melusine? It was supposed to be an anti-Chaldea NP called “Let me speak with your director!”

I mean they aren't gonna bond themselves and you can't go wrong with two Raikou's waiting in the back for you.
Edit: After seeing how Caren is in the event. skip her and the story. It's no wonder she was compeletly forgotten until the EN event popped up. Better farmers, more interesting characters.
Wish her skill 1 rewarded 20% battery instead of 10% for drain she would have been a great farmer for people who don't have said also did something she he is a solo
