Great video. Thanks for spending the time in the dirt getting close-ups and the hours & hours of editing necessary to get a finished product. We've plowed @ HCOP for quite a few years now. We were in your video with 4020, a 1206, an IH 450, and the 400/M piggy-back. For those that are watching, you should know it pulls very hard @ Rantoul. You usually don't bring your biggest plow. Hope to see everyone in '25!! Maybe it won't be quite as dusty. Thanks again - Ron
Ron that is very cool. Thank you for sharing. I have admired your tractor plowing it’s always so busy at that show I never get to meet many of the owners. I would like to learn more about your 400/M. Could you email me at bigtractorpowermedia@gmail.com
Merry Christmas Jason and Big Tractor Power team! I missed the 2023 Half Century of Progress show due to work, but it's my favorite show. I look forward to the 2025 Half Century of Progress show. My favorite tractors of this video were all the John Deeres. Allis-Chalmers and Ford though brought back fond childhood memories.
Was at the last two times they had this event and loved it so mutch making plans to bring my own tractor next time. Look forward to this show every time.
@@bigtractorpower i am into johhn deere two cylinders, i have a jd60. I am hoping to have a plow by next time. Also thinking about hooking to the sled for the antique pulls.
806 is my all-time favorite tractor and thus, favorite in this video. Spent more hours on one growing up than I can count. I'd love nothing more than to restore our farm's 806 and bring our old IH 5 bottom plow down to a show like this! Merry Christmas, BTP!
In this video I think the 2 Steigers were my favorites but that ford you have is pretty dang nice! I really enjoy the Half Century of Progress coverage that you give us. Always a treat to see the classic tractors at work. Merry Christmas Jason! Thanks for another incredible year of tractors and farm machines at work!
My favorites are the 2 wheel drive open station tractors. I especially liked the Ford 8000, John Deere 4020 (my all time favorite John Deere model) and the Olivers. Growing up in the ‘70’s helping on the family farm where we only had 1950’s era gas tractors, I thought these tractors were really cool back then. In our area we had successful John Deere, Oliver, Ford and International dealerships, so we saw a lot of these tractors around, but seldom or never saw anyone working with Allis Chalmers or Molines.
I love each and every one of those tractors. They don't make em like that anymore. I don't even like to tractors they got today. I would rather have one from back then. They look more like a farm tractor. I grew up back Then with those farm tractors. So i'm a lot more partial to those tractors. Watching this video with those tractors made me feel like a kid in a candy shop.. They were so awesome and still are today.
My grandson and I watched this video together and he would say…”wow” when each tractor would go by. Our favorite tractor was the JD 6030s which he gets to see on my farm! Thanks for this great video!
Your videos are so informative and entertaining at the same time! You have a real talent for making learning fun and engaging, which is something that sets you apart from other creators in your niche. Keep up the great work!
Excellent video!! I really enjoyed watching all the tractors in the video in action plowing! Keep the videos coming!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Yes, I believe it was. The 6030 was a beast, the trans and rearend we're overbuilt and tough, many 6030's were repowered with Cummins 250HP engines. The drivetrain easily handled the added HP.
Thanks for all your work making this video. Its amazing and refreshing to see who and what equipment is the true backbone of farming. I love the modern equipment but admit it gets tiring watching young punk millionaire farmers who inherited the farm from family dominate the videos. Thanks so much for doing this, and I love the Ford!
Hi Jason, As always, nice Video. I still miss a Special Video about the intoduction of your FW 30. I also missed it on your Christmas card, where only the international and the John Deere were shown 😅
I enjoyed the video. It's really saddening though to think how many tractor brands no longer exist. One I didn't see here but remember from my younger days was Minneapolis Moline. For awhile, I had a JD 4010 gas with narrow front track wheels. Never see those anymore, always the 4020 wide front.
I think so. It’s really tough plowing ground. I would contact the show a www.halfcenturyofprogress.com I think it would be cool to see a lawn and garden tractor plowing.
2-180 should be able to pull a 5 bottom with ease, someone should stop putting stickers on it and do some rebuilding. Cool tractor nonetheless. Sweet fw 30.
Rantoul is a former Air Force Base. The fields are along and in between the run ways. There are all types of soil mixed together. It’s extremely hard ground to plow especially in late August. It was over 100 degrees at this years show. The FW30 is a cool classic. Ford really made them stand out.
This event is for farmers, collectors and tractor fans. You will see different levels of experience in the field at the show. Most tractors make 3 passes one way. It’s basically an event to show cool tractors working.

Nice looking John Deere 7520 and John Deere plow. You gotta love The sound of that straight pipe
Nice tractors. I like the front wheel assist on the IH 1026.
That 1026 is a stand out tractor.
Have you ever driven one?
@@tomreisinger6220 I don’t have not driven a 1026 or a 56 series. I mainly have experience driving Steiger built 4wds.

*Great video, Jason! We visited on Friday, and it was fascinating to see. The Allis-Chalmers D21s were especially impressive*
The D21 is a cool tractor. I wish more of them had been plowing.

We have a old Ford 8330 and it still gets it done... Air doesn't work though. Lol .. Thx Jason

Wife crochets, I watch a tractor vid, life is great this winter! Looked like an IH 490 on that good lookin FW30.
496. It worked well.

5020 was my fav
Really enjoy your channel especially corn and bean harvest at Garnett farms
It’s a great farm to visit.
John deere made some great modles throughout the 80s and 90s. We have a 4040 at home, which were very popular in New Zealand in their day.
The 826 as I have one sitting in the barn mostly retired except for the cruise down the road to get the bush hog for mowing duty as well as the 1066
Ngl, I have a soft spot for anything powered by a Detroit Diesel 2 stroke engine
The Oliver 1950 and 950 are Detriot power all the way.
Love ploughing videos, I liked the Inter1066, probably because I own one . Regards from Down Under.
The 1066 is one of the all time greats. 👍👍
I would love to come to the 2025 event!

Very nice. I am a 1456 fan. I would like to film one plowing up hay. If you have time email me at bigtractorpowermedia@gmail.com
No way would I like to be sitting behind that Detroit all day.
Somehow we survived with one , but it did have a muffler, don't know what possesses someone to run it without one.
I have have never even heard of a Wagner tractor .
Wagner put the first articulated 4wd tractor on the market in 1954. They were a 4wd specialist and a strong seller through 1968.

Is there any info on the big custom john queer with 890 hp? Looks kinda interesting. Likely cat powered, hence the name copy cat?
Yeah, it’s a 3412 powered tribute to the identical test tractor used by DMI
