Would recommend the addon Questi, makes it easier to see where you need to go with the quests, some quests can be a bit tedious when you gotta figure it out yourself. and perhaps a bag addon.
This is nuts! When Cohh said "Oh nonono, voice actors are in trouble", well it seems very much so. "I knew AI voice was getting there, I wasn't aware that it WAS there", my thoughts exactly. If I didn't know this was AI generated, I wouldn't believe it. Oh no... I've heard a lot about voice actors taking to social media, fearing for their jobs, and not without merit apparently. Most voice actors start out voicing background characters and NPCs in small productions to hone their skills and gain experience in the industry. But if studios can just slap an AI on it which can deliver a performance on par (or even better), then there's gonna be trouble. I've seen a lot of game industry job postings for AI wranglers lately, it looks like studios are moving towards generated content instead of produced. I mean, from a purely business perspective it makes a lot of sense, AI is free of the human condition, it never gets tired, never complains, etc., and with some setup and calibration you can do the voice work for entire game in matter of days and not months, and for the fraction of the cost. If you have the written dialogues and narration, all that is left is to generate the voices. Going a bit further, you can even get rid of writers, when AI can now generate entire dialogue trees from a few prompts in very high quality, all you have to do is proofread and edit it a bit... Oh no... Going even further, AI can now generate perfectly working code for many applications. Heck, I even use GPT sometimes in my work to generate powershell and python scripts. How long until AI can generate code for games, prototype entire game mechanics, level designs.... hell, ENTIRE GAMES?! Oh no...
The AI voiced characters work super well! Would be cool if something like that could be added to the Shadowrun CRPG games. I always thought those would be right up Cohh's alley if only they were voiced. As it is now there's tons of stuff to read but zero voice acting. Fantastic games though!
Alliance is much more popular on Hardcore in general it would seem. I believe there are mechanical reasons for that, which led to some of the big names picking it, which caused even people that don't care about slight mechanical advantages to pick it.
