This is so sad and disappointing that Dontella sold his house for it to be a hotel. The poor guy died on the front steps and designed the house from top to bottom. Just sad.

I used to think that way but when someone is gone, especially if they were tragically murdered, material things they left behind really mean nothing no matter how beautiful they are. What is most beautiful and important is the time you had with the person and the memories.

@@ericjerman757 yes you can, for instance in Chinese you have to say 詹尼范思哲 in Arabic it will be not the same and in many other languages as well. She doesn't say versaci but Versace with a very short e with a neutral tone.

I remember being on South Beach, Miami and being absolutely amazed that the mansion is directly across the street from a large public park and the beach. No more than 30 feet from a public park. That how the idiot Andrew got access to kill him. You can just walk right up to the building.
Sadly it made sense to Gianni at the time because they were in close proximity to the cafes and nightclubs. Now a celebrity would never, ever live so close to public establishments.

Just bought an orignal versus Versace vintage blazer by Gianni...I got it at a thrift dealer..But what a joy to own an orignal by the master himself . ..And his home is so beautiful but to turn it into a hotel..madness

Unreal mansion. Versace can have his Aphrodite statue fountain...I'll take a fountain with an Adonis statue! The river rock mosaic walls in the dining room are outstanding and can easily be redone and placed in regular homes...I love those walls and would like to attempt a single such accent wall. The table China by Versace is stunning...would love to have place settings for 6 but could never afford them. Thanks for the tour.

I'd love to come to see this historic building/now resort, or even stay in one of the suites someday (or even have dinner)!! Alas, I do not have that type of wealth. Again, after loving & watching every episode of American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace on FX, I don't know how I really feel about your video. It's hard to believe that you let FX actually film there in Miami. Lovely, incredible building. Reminds me of the tour of Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California (24K pool, etc.) Too bad that you don't offer tours to the public (a very limited group, say 25 lucky people) once a week at an "off time" that wouldn't disturb your guests. That would be a nice tribute to Gianni who WANTED & NEEDED the public to embrace the VERSACE clothing line. Without the public, Versace would be nothing. Think about it.

I went to Miami Beach this past October and ate lunch at Versace's mansion. We sat at a table by the pool, which is beautiful. Sad to realize the tragedy that happened there though.
