So they changed the lore in the comics? The last Machiko Noguchi books I read described them as huge breeders. With one hand, they can slap a male across the room without even knowing he was there. So I imagined a matriarch being 4 meters tall.

Yeah... as I remember it the females were massive, bestial breeders kept in pits to stop them slaughtering everyone. The entire point of a hunter's life was to prove their worth and ability to survive the mating process long enough to spawn a new brood (before being slain and eaten). Broods of hundreds would be born but only a dozen or so would be able to escape the breeding pit to form the next generation.
The only thing that could calm the female bloodlust was the birth of a female offspring, a once in a century occurance, and it is only then that the matriarchs proceed to show their intellectual superiority, absorbing all the lore of the current society and teaching it and all the history of the species to their daughter. Eventually the daughter will mature, slay any rivals and eventually kill and eat their mothers, going into a monstrous fury that only diminishes slightly for mating and birthing.

The Predator movie where the Yautjas are splicing themselves genetically is an abhorrent lore-rape and goes beyond bad. It goes completely against everything about them. There is a very good reason an overwhelmingly large number of people don't acknowledge its existence and anyone who acknowledges it gets criticized.

I remmember in book Alien vs Predator, there was inner monologue of main character yautja, who mention females are bigger and stronger. And if anyone try insult them by call one a children machine, eaqual and fair fight would be if female was with bare habd abd male equiped with all possible weapons and armor. Thats how fierce and strong they are.

It’s funny you brought up Machiko Naguchi considering that story line had females completely different than the ones you’re talking about. In that story the females were much larger than the males, they didn’t hunt and even a blooded hunter was no match for a pissed off female. There is no “real” yautja females because every story is different, there’s no canon.

There's a reason why the female predators weren't portrayed in the movies. They wanted the prey to have a fighting chance. Also it would be a very short movie if one was the antagonist.

That would make for a interesting movie. The Upgraded Predator from The Predator is supposed to be a female cuz it fits the description of a standard Yautja female (some have tits and some don't).
But I love to have one of the next Predator movies to have female Yautja on the hunt. But she is hunting bad-bloods. I would be okay if they had the huntress and main character dude do gentle snu-snu but only if it's done great and taste and naturally.

I'm just gonna leave my two cents about the question "Why don't we see more female Yautja?" in media and especially in the movies here cause, well, I'm bored. =P
I think the reason why is because Yautja society is, to some degree, still in a tribal too early civilization state, as in the men goes out hunting while the women stays back in the village to take care of everything else; and before anyone here bites my head off for this, there's a part 2 to this idea of mine, which is this --> but considering how much the Yautja species loves to hunt, and they're by ZERO means dumb, I don't think Yautja society excludes the women from hunting all together for several reasons (which I won't be listing cause I have a serious problem with rambling), I think the only time the women are excluded from the hunt or even times of war is when they have children to take care of. . something like this --> not pregnant, can hunt. . is pregnant, perhaps can hunt but the negative side effects of subjecting the growing embryo too that kind of danger and just a bunch of other stuff is a can of worms I don't want to open right now. . gave birth, is now excluded from the hunt because somebody's gotta take care of the new borns. . child raising, is excluded from the hunt because again, somebody's gotta take care of em. . kids are now grown up and independent, is now welcome back into the hunt because their care is no longer needed. And for what these two tid-bits of probability are worth, I can also imagen Yautja society being very similar too Sparta for also many reasons but one of them is by virtue of just how damn good this species is at combat and hunting & the women of Sparta were no pushovers by anyone's standards, and just the possibility that we've just so happened to've only see the stories that had the men hunting.

Fuck I know the predators are hunters species but I find it extremely hard to understand that a species that is technologically advanced enough to travel the galaxy planet to planet but in so many screenshots and comic books they show these people living like caveman or in caves it’s one thing when they’re out hunting they do this but where they live give me a break

I’m a filthy casual when it comes to Predator/Alien lore but this actually sounds interesting. I personally thought they either mate with random creatures while hunting to procreate or captured female creatures that they were compatible with. Since there was no female yautja shown in movies. Would be interesting to see a predator movie with a female yautja. Maybe not necessarily against humans but more so a pure predator versus alien kind of movie. It’s so boring to see them hunt humans, imo
