NeyoKiller ...Then you realized that the sound isn't even coming from your TV speakers. You left your room only to notice a blue police box standing in front of you...
The tardis sound was my ringtone for a long while. No one ever recognized it. But one day while flipping through vinyl at the record store, my ring tone sounded off & the girl working at the record store looked up at the ceiling with a startled & excitedly confused look like the tardis was materializing at that moment in her store. I had to say "oh no, that's just my ring tone, the Doctor isn't really here." I felt bad that my ring tone seriously got her hopes up. But, finally, someone recognized my ring tone! Not many Whovians running around Willits, CA. It was nice to finally meet another. I felt so bad getting her hopes up though. She seemed to have thought for a second that she was getting the chance to go with the Doctor. 😂 We've joked about that day for years now. I still see Shannon, she works at the Bookstore now. 😁
I once found an archive that had these two sounds, as well as some of the other sounds taken from the early series (LIke, Patrick Troughton early) like the "emergency Takeoff/Malfunction" which was a sort of stuttering of the normal takeoff, and so on.
This is the sounds of my childhood. This is the sound of many childhoods. This sound gives comfort across the universe and creates an entire new reality free to be explored by children and adults alike all across the world. Thank you, Doctor Who, And Alon’se

In my opinion, the sound the TARDIS makes is the perfect sound for a time machine. It's like it slowly lines up with the timeline Like a plane carefully touches the runway

It was probably a trick from the doctor where he synchronized the snoring of your brother and the tardis so you won't get too suspicious to run outside and look for him.
This is the ring tone for my mobile phone. "When you say mobile phone, why do you point at that blue box?" Because it's a surprisingly accurate description!
Truely awesome, the unsung heroes of Dr.Who, the sounds the TARDIS makes. Got me from the get go. This is the sound of the Tardis, syncing itself with our particular bit of the universe, ground breaking at the time, still gets me now and i am 83.
I could listen to this sound for hours! It sounds like the materialization of imagination, adventure and hope! My wish was to pause the video and continue to hear such a sound along with the TARDIS itself materializing in my room!
I’m here because a guy on FB said he lost his cat, who watches Dr. Who with him every night before bed. So, he got the idea to drive around his neighborhood and play the TARDIS sound at night before bed. He found his cat about a km away, running towards his car. Lol Yay for TARDIS. 😄💝
We learn from River Song that he always leaves the breaks on and that's why it makes the sound. Then he continues to tell her that he absolutly loves this sound.

I used to love, in the summer when everyone's widows were open, including my own, putting on the BBC sound effects record and playing the TARDIS landing sound very loudly!😆
It only makes the weezing sound if you leave the breaks on, however in the episode "the stolen earth" you see that this allows the Tardis to stay in the same position it always was, even when the ground she was standing on dissapears
The emergency landing sound sounds like if the TARDIS was a humungous Police Box, Just like Trenzalore. A Huge TARDIS thats withered, mossy, dusty, and filled with sand just gives me spooks.

You know the sound the TARDIS makes? That wheezing, groaning? That sound brings hope wherever it goes. To anyone who hears it.
Secretly, the doctor doesn't put the brakes on and there was no hope in poeple...
@@sushirolltango course there was hope, they didn't know it was there

The TARDIS sound: the sound of hope
The War Doctor also thinks it. : )
Imagine pausing this video and you still hear the sound play...
it happened to me and then I noticed I was still using my Xbox UA-cam aswell so there was a delay
I would freak out O___O

T M what o.o
The Tardis seriously makes the most terrifying sound of any spacecraft in any scifi ever.
What about the Tripods in War Of The Worlds?
I actually find it really comforting. But that’s probably because I grew up with the show.
it sounds like the sun
It's amazing how it took a piano wire a house key and some added sound effects to make such an iconic and classic sound
