“How bad of a pilot is this Time Lord?” - Sutekh probably, after getting tossed around and crushed into a floor after crashing through several walls, and somehow still holding on
I always thought the flight when Rose is returning to rescue 9 was the best one. The TARDIS isn't somersaulting and veering around the time vortex like when the Doctor pilots; it's flying itself and it's leaning forward into the direction of travel. It really brings a sense of intent to its movement, like the TARDIS itself is hurrying back to rescue the Doctor. It also highlights how despite his literal thousands of years of practise the Doctor is not actually very good at piloting the TARDIS.
No, her navigation system is shot and the TARDIS consciousness fills that role instead, which is why she sometimes doesn't take the Doctor to where he wants to go (but often where he needs to be). That's the reason the Gallifreyan Clara splinter told him to take that specific one
The worst offender has to be that one series 7B vortex shot where you can clearly see its 10's Tardis,it doesn't even have the St Johns Badge. (I believe there was even a Flying Tardis Shot With 10's Tardis In the Capaldi Era)
@@Liam3015Because it didn’t come from the Doctor? It’s River who says that it’s the brakes, not the Doctor. And funnily enough, since all the times we see the TARDIS make that noise it’s when it’s piloted by one person rather than the usual six, the brakes could probably be how a single rogue Time Lord can operate all 6 parts of the console at once.
So I actually went through and counted each consentual time and non-concentual time she was moved. Obviously since the video is cut and chopped so much getting exact number was tough but I am definitely in the ballpark. Rules were for consentual movement is if the Doctor or other pilot is directly in control of the TARDIS's flight. I counted crashing as non-consentual for this reason. Another important factor to mention is I only count one movement as one on the tally. Since the video cuts between multiple shots of the same movement I only count one instead of counting each shot. That being said. I counted roughly 106 overall times the TARDIS was in motion. 86 of those were concentual leaving 20 non-concentual movements. That leaves us with 21.2% non-consentual movements! Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
