Just wrapped up my upgrade using this video and your center channel video. The difference is incredible, thank you for taking the time to show everyone how to remove these panels etc. My driverside door took 45 min, passenger side was maybe 20. I was debating if it was worth putting dynamat in the doors or not, but I could pop them off quickly if I wanted to in the future.
Where did you buy the woofers? I don’t see them on the website, just the mounting kits.
With the mounting kits from Bruce you can install any 165mm speakers of your choosing to the front and rear doors
Did you eventually put dynamat in the door? I was thinking of maybe putting insulation in the door to stop the plastic on plastic rattle noise

Brother those aurum cantus woofers.....words can describe the change in sound. Thank you Bruce for the help. I just refused the oem connectors they pop right out. The sound is life changing. Everyone that has sat in the car have been completely amazed at the clarity of the base. Next up the center speaker and the matching 2 door speaker. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO MAKE THESE VIDEOS.
Did you get the woofer without the front silicone cover? The only website that sells it doesn’t have the custom upgrades this guy has. The light gray cone thingy that fits on the front of the woofer

Is there any alternative to the woofer speaker spacers that were used? The solution as shown is quite expensive. 140GBP (170USD) is bit high for just the two rings of plastics.
Thanks for videos!! I just completed the same setup in my b9 S5 sportback. It sounds 100x better than the B&O speakers. I'm not mechanical at all and your videos helped tremendously in getting through the install. I had to reach out to Bruce for the rear door tweeters. He responded quickly! but it wasn't too bad. I also upgraded the factory subwoofer following your other video. Next project is installing the JL woofer, basser box, kicker amp setup.. Hell you got me even thinking about a stage 1 tune. Thanks!

Are the woofers on the website? I only see the mounting kits for them.
The B&O in the Bronco came with speakers that were absolute shit. Upgrading the speakers made a huge difference over the crappy speakers from Vietnam.

I can’t get over how in settings it doesn’t include a Midrange EQ. The base sound system on the B8 had adjustable mids. It can be very frustrating at times the B&O, especially if you like British and Classic rock.
I’ve found that if you turn off the 3d sound and the surround speakers, it helps the midrange. But I’m with you, it’s the same on the B&O in our SQ7.

On the pre facelift 2010 RS5 with B&O theres also no Sub level adjustment. Overall a very cheap sounding system

I have a 2018 a4, but will soon be upgrading to a 20+ s4/5. I want to do a trial of this on my a4, but want to eventually be able to transfer all of the speakers to the new car. Is this possible? Should I just wait?
I would wait. The speaker ratings may be different in the new model.
I cant justify Bruce's price on the front woofers for the B9. The Aurum speakers are $100/each and the spacers from him are $177/pair. SO why does he charge $625 for the set together?
Cant speak to his pricing. You can absolutely order everything yourself and put it together. He usually adds the OEM clips on the wires and builds up the spacers and drip guards.
@@Vaguh I am in Germany for a few years for work and ordered a new S5 to be built so i ordered all the speakers listed online to replace the fronts in my B&O. I was able to get woofers, mids, tweeters and all supporting accessories for LESS than what Bruce sells just the woofers for.
Hertz tweeters = 35 euro shipped
Faitial Pro = 35 euro each x3 shipped
Aurum 6.5" = $230 for the pair shipped
Speaker spacers from basser and the drip guards = less than $50 shipped.
Wiring connectors = $20

On my A5 2017 with B&O my front left door « woofer » (the biggest one with the Bang and olufsen written on it) is damaged. I canot find which model I need for replacement and everything is sold out on the website. Any advice?
I have a 2018 s5 convertible. Sounds good with top up, but top down sounds really weak. I thought about getting a sub but my trunk is very shallow when I put the top down. Any recommendations?

The a6 comes with a closed Box for the mid speaker. I also used the faital. Same like yours. And they are actually louder but Sound like an old 8track Radio.. Very difficult to explain...

4" mid-range, 4 ohm, 20W. The real problem is the depth is super shallow and i can only find two drivers that fit there. The peerless GBS 4.5" fits but sold out everywhere. The fatal pro fe32 with neodymium magnets also fits, but I usually suggest getting the 8 ohm version because it's very bright. a
Also put some foam behind it in you can to tame the back reflections.
The door woofer is an 8 ohm 100 watt 4 in x 6 in square driver in a horn load but most 6 and 1/2 in woofers can fit in here easily. The tricky part is finding a good one that is 8 ohms and also has a low free air resonance below 40 hertz. I originally used the aurum cantus 7-in in my car and had to make my own brackets using the horn. The prefab brackets that are available now that take 6 and 1/2-in woofers are much easier to work with so I generally recommend using the ac-165 series speakers.

How’s the speakers holding up? My front bottom speaker blew on both sides and my sub went out within 6 months of having the car. I’m going aftermarket with those 3 speakers from the ones you used. Hopefully it fixes my issue! I have a b9 a5 Sportback.
The ones I installed are freaking awesome. I have two stock speakers in the front dash that blew. I need to replace them soon. I’ll do a vid.
@@Vaguhthat’s great and wow I’m so shocked how often these speakers break it’s sad. I’m gonna replace my subwoofer in the trunk and two woofer speakers in the front with the ones you used! Hopefully that does the trick and doesn’t blow anytime soon. Did any of your aftermarket ones blow?

I have a 2018 S5 Sportback and my speakers started to rattle really bad I went to the shop and changed all the speakers to focal paid tons of money and speakers still rattling any recommendations maybe I should change the amp ?
