I recently had my aftermarket sub installed. The shop tapped my sub lines to the LOC. RCAs to sub of course. When we turn the gain on the on the LOC passed half way the speakers has a humming noise coming from them. I've read it could be the ANC active noise cancellation or that I need to get a DSP. This for an 2018 Audi A6 with Bose.
Turning up the gain the gain while it’s completely silent until you can actually hear hissing/humming means that you’ve likely hit the input sensitivity distortion level for your equipment. No harm in this. Actually it’s the preferred procedure to increase gain on the amplifier while in silent until you hear the humming/hissing and then turn it back down a little until it goes away.
Hi , great video as i own an S5 and dealing with the subwoofer rattling . I do have a question , is there anything you could do to reduce the rattling?
Unfortunately not on this car until we film another but in other videos we have started showing off the sound of the system but it’s best if you come by and listen to a car in person
Where are you getting the signal from the factory b/o system to run into the audio control lc2. Did you leave the factory sub connected or disconnected. Trying this on my vehicle but it works then shuts down. Just need to know where your getting high level signal from. Thanks
I've got an S3 8V FL, with the upgraded B&O sound system. I want more bass, but don't want to loose any of the OEM look, is this possible to keep that OEM boot look?
If your inputting signal from the B&O sub speaker cables would that not turn the gain up and down? Sorry it’s been a few years since I’ve had a system in my car. Lol
As Gary Summers said .. (4 time Oscar winning sound engineer for films that include: Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Avatar, Indiana Jones, Terminator 2, Lord of the Rings trilogy ... and *IASCA world champion 2010* - car audio sound quality contest to you and me) "It's all about name recognition and hype!" *Gary Summers on Better Car Audio* ua-cam.com/video/BGBy2aUtSug/v-deo.html Regardless of the audio brand inside the car, I'd always skip it on the 'Options List' and go to a professional Installer, who, believe me, can do a lot more ... for a lot less money!
White exterior full black carbon interior and bronze Factory 20" wheels oh and I forgot to add bronze striping where there is chrome trims are for instance around the windows and it has to be a 2015 AUDI A5, S5 or RS5.
Hi, great video. Good content. I have an A5 Coupe with the B&O system, i'd like to remove all of the rattles from the poor soundproofing. This video explains things very well. Could you give an estimate on how much this would cost?
Awesome video, would some sound not come through the factory sub area when all the panels are back on to not have to put that arm rest down? or better yet if using a thin line sub, why not mount under one of the front seats, that way maximising sound in the cabin?
Great video CBS, I'm in the process of adding a sub to my S5 with the mid range Audi System (I didnt go for the B&O due to it being really no better than Audis mid range system and silly expensive for just a badge, and also reading about the rattling issues!) There is a sub where the B&O goes in your video but open air and alot more accessible. Piggybacking the speaker wire signals from that to a setup similar to yours. Your videos really helped me with the routing of the cables, I didnt want to pull any of the trim off but now I know where stuff goes thanks!
Hello, I’ve got an sq5 2015. That’s got the B&O system which seems very basic and don’t think it’s particularly any good, before the sq5 I had a 67 glc 350 amg premium plus it had a burmester system which was in my opinion far superior, Im looking at upgrading the sq5 system, hopefully I will find a system that is as good as the burmester or better😎😎😎😎
Hi mate, cracking video again. I have a very broad question you might be able to help with 😂🙏🏼. Im getting a Jaguar Xe with the 13 speaker 380w sound system, I already it’s dog shit compared the 1 series I currently have with HK 12 speaker system with a 10” sub I had fitted in the boot, genuinely really happy with the whole system, could be louder, could a tiny bit clearer, but overall I’m happy, with £1000 budget for speakers, what speakers would you recommend replacing and what with, (6.5”/4”/1”) 3 way up front, and (6.5”/1”) 2 way in the rear and cutouts to had speakers to the parcel shelf and I’ll be putting my 10” sub in. I understand it’s a bit broad but any help would be appreciated. Thanks mate 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The nardo grey with blackout package is nice, but the blue or red I actually prefer the silver trim personally. My S5 is black on black, which is beautiful but impossible to keep clean lol.

Without seeing or doing the installation, it is very hard to comment
This is a common thing is is the problem I'm having now did you ever solve the problem?

Curious as to how much weight all that sound deadening adds to the vehicle? Thank you.
Soundproofing adds roughly 500g per sheet, so you're usually looking at a couple of KG's per door if you're fitting 5-10 sheets.
Hi , great video as i own an S5 and dealing with the subwoofer rattling .
I do have a question , is there anything you could do to reduce the rattling?
Yes, we soundproof the back of the vehicle to stop the rattles :)
@@CambridgeCarAudio thank you very much for replying , how long will it take and how much if you don't mind me asking?
May I know how much does it cost for Audi a5 2017
use second skin.
Good work need a sound check comparison, before and after. Can you do the same on a sportback??
We can't do realistic audio comparisons through a UA-cam video unfortunately Lee, but its a great upgrade!
can we get footage and hear what it sounds like?
Unfortunately not on this car until we film another but in other videos we have started showing off the sound of the system but it’s best if you come by and listen to a car in person
Great install and excellent video quality 👍 may I ask where are you pulling the remote amp turn on from?
We take an ignition feed from the vehicle's fuse box or speaker signal
Where are you getting the signal from the factory b/o system to run into the audio control lc2. Did you leave the factory sub connected or disconnected. Trying this on my vehicle but it works then shuts down. Just need to know where your getting high level signal from. Thanks
Signal is picked up from the amp. factory sub gets disconnected :)

No worries, we can build you something custom, however would need to see the car and meet with you to go through options
How much was this cost wise from start to finish for the customer?
Drop us an email with your details or come see us so we can go through pricing for you
Are you recording outside during a dust storm?
Not quite haha :)
@@CambridgeCarAudio 👍
Great video my question is though are you not able to keep the factory sub adjustment level on the MMI?
Hi, unfortunately not, that’s why you have the separate bass controller
If your inputting signal from the B&O sub speaker cables would that not turn the gain up and down?
Sorry it’s been a few years since I’ve had a system in my car. Lol
My Audi is Black wheels Blue paint close to that. My fave combo
Nice, Thank you, please don't forget to subscribe :)
I’m really into my music and not sure whether to get the B&O sytsten upgrade, or wait and upgrade later? Any advise please :)
Upgrade later, we remove the B&O system all the time due to customers not being happy with it

Does the A5 have the same rattle issue with the sub on B&O?
If the sub is there, then yes
I still wonder why they mounted those door speakers the way they did. It’s the only Audi that has woofers mounted at 90 degrees.
It’s a design that just doesn’t work with the quality of speakers and build structure that is there
I want to upgrade sound system for my Audi A4 progressive 2017, what will be the cost?

Nice
How long did that project take
Depends on spec - 2-5 days for something like this
Daytona Grey or eissilber with gunmetel rohona concave wheels
Nice choice :)
What this set up cost. I have the same exact s5.
Drop us a message on email or insta so we can get it priced up for you
Same

Where is the factory amp in this car exactly
In the boot from memory
I am trying to find out where the factory amp is for my Audi A5 2021 convertible Right side of the boot or the left

It does come through but obviously will perform better with it down
