I found TWO comments: JERRY SCHEFF: One night he (Elvis) brought one of those little battery operated Laugh Boxes on Stage and said: "Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like you to meet col. parker". The LAUGH Box is in Elvis, That's The Way It Is :) :) :) GLEN BURTON: "I feel we ALL should be loyal to Elvis (not Red West) but that's everyone's own choice. I do not work with people that do anything , negative against Elvis. Please understand that Elvis was my Friend, not just another artist that I have worked with. I know how EXTREMELY STRESS Elvis was before this book came out. At the funeral the people I spoke to were blaming this book for Elvis' death and said his high stress level added to his fatal heart attack. website: EP Fans of Nashville, Elvis Memphis Club 2-12-2014
Love you Glen. I’ve always enjoyed watching and listening to you play. You are incredible. Elvis always surrounded himself with the best musicians around and you are certainly one of them. So happy you’re still playing and keeping Elvis’ music alive. Thank you for having him on. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
we love you, Glen! It's marvellous you are still playing and talking to us about Elvis, all of you were fantastic , the most incredible band in the world, that followed our King in a stupend mood! God bless you and your family, greetings from Argentina💕💖💝💗👍
Elvis was incredible. There has never been a voice like his. Everybody talks about Memphis Mafia. But nobody ever talks about. How Elvis was always surrounded with great musicians. Starting from the appearances on the Ed Sullivan. To the Aloha concert. Glad a great musician was invited. To talk about his personal/Elvis experiences.
gracieg7601 Elvis had a good memory that when he introduced all of his bandmembers, he never forgot to mention the place and the US state where they were born and raised. Amazing Elvis!

Glenn is the oldest living core band member of Elvis followed by James Burton & then by Jerry Scheff. The youngest but the first to die was John Wilkinson (age 67). Ronnie Tutt was the oldest band member (born 1938) and he was the second who died at age 83.
The TCB band was such a well oiled machine. They were so perfect. Elvis played with them on stage. He loved each and everyone of them. I love that he hired each one individually. Elvis started using drugs in the army back in 1958. Check this out In 1970 Elvis writes to President Nixon (the I am not a crook guy) and offers his services to help combat illicit drug use in the USA. Elvis mentioned that he knew a lot about drugs and was accepted by the hippies. He said he could go right into a group of young people or hippies and be accepted which he felt could be helpful to him in his drug drive. Nixon and Elvis exchanged pleasantries and agreed that “those who use drugs are in the vanguard of American protest.” In 1977 Elvis dies of drug overdose and drug abuse. Putting Elvis in charge of speaking on narcotic abuse is like leaving Dracula in charge of the blood bank. Hypocrisy: What is an example of hypocrisy? People who tell you not to eat candy while they chomp away on candy all day.
@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Please take note that Elvis was taking prescription drugs and not illegal drugs. This was corroborated by Charlie Hodge, who was with him from his Army days until his death in 1977. He was also against alcoholism among his musicians.
@@conietan Elvis started using drugs in the army. During this time, a fellow sergeant introduced Elvis to amphetamines, which he began taking almost daily. He also gave them to his young girlfriend and fellow service members, according to “Careless Love: The Unmaking of Elvis Presley” by Peter Guralnick.
Whoo hoo! Glen Hardin - what a treat! Elvis had the best band ever! Wish Ronnie T. was still with us. I sure miss that guy!
Same here. Ronnie was a force of his own.
Yeah I love Ronnie Tutts style of playing. That Hi Hat technique on Suspicious Minds 72/73 version etc such a tight fantastic rhythm👍

That time Elvis turned to look at the band (Glen I thought) and said “c’mon man”. Any insight?

The TCB band really took care of business!

If he admired Elvis so much, why did he leave Elvis? That`s what I would like to know.
Why kind of name is Glendy Hardin?
