The "Gates Of Graceland" series is the first time since the Aloha and the NBC Special DVD boxes came out that I have the impression that EPE is aware that there are fans and collectors out there who are not interested in impersonators and potato-heads .. but in the real thing .. Elvis.
Friday July 8th 2016 we arrived at the Cypress aka Pyrimid Hotel in Memphis. Next morning we rode their glass elevator 300ft to the viewing platform near the top and walked onto their glass floor to view onto the Mississipi River and some of the city and then a quick drive to Beale Street and BB Kings Diner and saw where they make Gibson Guitars, plus a visit to The Hard Rock Cafe in Memphis and then a few pictures beside one of the Elvis Presley statues, the rest of Saturday afternoon on July 9th 2016 we visited Graceland, an almost speechless and special homage to the king!
Sounds like you had a GREAT trip to Graceland and Memphis...it's my FAVORITE place to be!!...I've never been to the Pyramid Hotel, although I've wanted to go to the lookout deck there for a few years now -- i'll have to make a point of it sometime soon. if you ever get back to Graceland/Memphis, you may want to try to go during the week of August 16 (Elvis Week) -- to experience the vigil on the night of August 15 will blow you away!!....as my brother said on his first Elvis Week in 2013, "I'll never, ever see ANYTHING like this again as long as I live." He still talks about it, 3 years later. :-)
You are so very lucky to have this opportunity. I'm totally jealous. would love to go to the usa and visit Graceland. I would give my kidney to do it lol 💖💖💖💖
i am hoping i can save up enough money so i can go to elvis week 2017 . i was 19 when he died and cant believe it will 40 years since his passiing he may be gone but he will never be forgotten not by me anyway. love you forever elvis x
