I am so glad that you are continuing the work of contending for the faith that Mike Desario did. His lessons have helped my spiritual growth immensely. The fear of the Lord is the BEGINNING of wisdom. The wisdom to repent. The wisdom to choose life. The wisdom to cease being a worker of iniquity and to work with God & do his will.

Amen brother! There are few entering heaven. My heart aches know so many are going into hell. I prayed for the fear of the Lord and repented of porn. I now take God serious and I've seen answered prayer. I had a tumor that was 1 inch in my brain. Nerve pain and numbness throughout my body. This was me sowing in my flesh my rebellion. Now I've totally repented and prayed the Lord heal me and the tumor has stopped growing. My nerve pain gone and my blurry vision is sharp. Do not mess with God's grace folks. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord one departs from evil. The fear of the Lord prolongs your days. The wicked life will be short and come to a sudden end. Fear God and live! People say oh how great it is if God showed up. His glory. Folks if God really showed up you would be running away like the children of Israel. God came down on the mountain and the trumpet blew louder and louder. Then god spoke. You would fall on your face in fear like John did in Revelation. Eyes of fire, feet like brass, face like sun 1000x bright. Our King is mighty. People on TV preach like God is a friend. Like I can force God to do this or that. No fear or respect for almighty. God chained angels in darkness because they left their abode. People are in a dark place in hell burning and are suffering like the rich man. What's sad is you goto hell. Then stand in front of God at great white throne judgement knowing after 1000 years you going to be cast into a sea of burning lava where you will burn. You will drown in fire covered over your head. No stone to stand on. And burn and never be remembered by anyone anymore. Take the fear of the Lord serious and repent. I am serious! Repent.

It seems to me that the modern "church" has a misunderstanding of sin. The Hebrews had at least 9 primary words for sin. I am sure the Aramaic had a similar number, the Greeks had 33, not sure about Latin, but then we boil it down to ONLY TWO primary words in English - "Iniquity" and "Sin". The problem, the issue, the LOST IN TRANSLATION part of all this is that there are "sins", if you are doing them, God hates you. Seriously, go read Psalm 5:5-6. It seems, from my studies of the Hebrew and the roots of our faith, that sin can be divided into 2 categories; INTENTIONAL and UNINTENTIONAL. The sins for which God HATES you ALL fall into the INTENTIONAL category. I believe, as I understand it so far, that The Father does not see intentional and unintentional sin the same. And so, when John speaks of "going on sinning" and "no one who sins is of Him", he is using the one primary word for sin when a clarification is needed. He is speaking of INTENTIONAL (especially PREMEDITATED) sin. The clue is that in many verses in the new testament, reference is made to the "practice of sinning" as opposed to just sinning. God never changes. It seems to me that the only way to make heads or tails of the new testament is to get familiar with the old. How did Jesus explain Himself to the disciples after the road to Emmaus? He showed them who He was via Moses, the Psalms and the Prophets. Get to know Your God in the old testament and you can discern what the writers of the New Testament meant....even when limited by the english language. Just a thought...

With all due respect sir, I will take Jesus definition anytime and this is how HE(Jesus) defined Fear.
Jesus was tempted by satan and this is what he said in Luke 4:8- (And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind me, satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve’ “
In the above context, Jesus was referring to
Deut 6:13- “You shall Fear the Lord your God and serve Him”.
So Jesus(The Word who became Flesh and dwelt among us) said Fear Of The Lord (In the Old Testament) = Worship The Lord (In the New Testament)
I’m for Holiness and living right but I achieve it every single day by Worshipping HIM (Jesus), not just by singing Praise and Worship Songs only but also by changing my mind with HIS word and by doing what HIS word says not out of Fear but out of Love, Respect and Honor that HE(Jesus) saved me forever. That is far more different than fear based relationship.

      Psalm 2:11 KJV
[11] Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
      The word “fear” defines as
      “1 fear, terror Isaiah 7:25; Ezekiel 30:13; גְדוֺלָה ׳י great fear Jonah 1:10,16; "" מַּחַד Deuteronomy 2:25; "" רעד(הׅ **Psalm **2:11**;** Psalm 55:6.” From: Brown-Driver-Biggs Hebrew and Greek Lexicon.
The word fear LITERALLY means fear.

    • @zaneyrick
      @zaneyrick 5 років тому

Collin Michael - One Reality Thanks a lot for the response Sir, I agree with the word Fear from the Old Testament perspective for sure because David, Isaiah, Etc. should be fearful because Jesus did not come to Earth yet as the perfect sacrifice. However when Jesus came in and died and rose back up again on the 3rd day for us and made us sit together with HIM in heavenly places, and if we put Moses and Jesus on the same ground and say FEAR is more important, that is absolutely a big NO. My apologies but that is the truth if I have to be truthful to the scriptures and read them in context applying Jesus Finished work.
      Why?
      1. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in Love; but perfect LOVE casts out FEAR, because FEAR involves torment. But he who FEARS has not been made perfect in LOVE”
This scripture in context explains that the Love and Grace Of God is more powerful and affective than FEAR
      2. Eph 2:1-6 - In Context if you read these scriptures it explains how Great The Love Of God is towards us and that is what changes us forever.
      3. Col 3:3 - For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
When we read this scripture in context, it says we need to change our Mind to what Jesus did and we become like HIM
Finally on human relationships level, if a child is so “Dreadful”/“Fearful” towards his/her father when the father gets closer and always fearful of him what he might do to the child then it is absolutely a very very sad and abusive relationship. And we try to portray GOD the Father in that way? That saddens me 😔.
Love of God does not mean it is cheap, it costed HIM(God The Father) HIS own SON(JESUS) to die on the cross for us and when we accept HIS sacrifice we receive the Holy Spirit into our Spirit and HE(Holy Spirit) leads us into all truth and leads us to live a holy life (John 16:13). I’m sorry I still disagree with you because you are simply following Man’s definitions and Man’s doctrines. I pray for you that your spiritual eyes be opened to see The Real Jesus rather than the so called “Lovey Dovey Jesus”. God Bless you Brother.

Why did the apostles say this AFTER Jesus came?
      Acts 10:34-35 KJV
[34] Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: [35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
      1 Peter 1:16-17 KJV
[16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. [17] And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
Just search the word “fear” in the NT and you’ll see more examples.

@@onerealityofficial My apologies for the late reply. Thanks a lot for proving the point that the Holy Spirit and HIS leading are very important and He always leads us to the Finished work of Jesus and HIS Everlasting LOVE for us.
Firstly, from the same Chapter you mentioned (Acts 10:34-35), if we read the complete chapter in context, The Holy Spirit is clearly explaining how we have remission of “Sins” through Jesus, even after God ordained JESUS to be Judge.(refer Acts 10:42-43)
      Acts 10:42-43
42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.
43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission[n] of sins.
Secondly, if we keep reading in the next verse it explains (“the Holy spirit fell upon ALL who heard the word” -Acts 10:44), that includes both Jews and Gentiles. The Holy Spirit fell on the people, NOT when Peter was preaching about the FEAR of God, rather when he was preaching the WORD (we have remission of sins through Jesus). Only after that people realized that they need to be baptized and Peter commanded them to be Baptized (Acts 10:48)
In the next reference verse of FEAR, you mentioned in (1 Peter 1:16-17). Why is it that you stopped right there at “FEAR”, if you read the whole chapter in context then The Holy Spirit is clearly explaining through The Word in 1 Peter 1:18-19 “We were redeemed with the Precious Blood of JESUS CHRIST” and through BELIEF in the finished work of Jesus Christ so that our FAITH and HOPE are in GOD. If you keep reading the rest of the chapter, it clearly explains that the glory of man withers and falls away but the Word of The Lord endures forever and this is the gospel(The Finished Work of Jesus and not the Work of Men). Especially in verse 22 - “Since you have purified your souls (Mind, Will, Emotions, Habits, Thinking Patterns, Feelings, Etc) in obeying the truth through the Spirit (Holy Spirit that indwells us forever) in sincere LOVE of the brethren, LOVE one another fervently with a pure heart”. This does not talk about FEAR, but about LOVE of GOD that indwells us forever in our Spirits as the Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit you can refer to the below scripture where FEAR is not even mentioned once.
      Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law
Finally, “FEAR NOT” is mentioned 365 times in the Bible and you are telling us to be FEARFUL. With all due respect, I will choose to believe The Bible because it is the true word of GOD. If you are truthful to the Word of GOD, you should as well. However, I will not make that decision for you because you are a beloved son of God as well through Jesus, I pray for you that you see the real TRUTH (JESUS) rather than "Lovey Dovey JESUS". I am all for living right and doing good, but I accomplish it through the “LOVE” of GOD (not Lovey Dovey Jesus) that lives in me through the leading of the Holy Spirit and I keep changing my mind everyday through the word of GOD (The Bible). To be more precise, I live holy everyday effortlessly than I ever lived on purpose by the leading of the Holy Spirit. If that is not true, being an Ex-Hindu I used to do a lot of good deeds as well but that will never get me to GOD, except the precious Blood of Jesus and HIS LOVE for me. Thanks and Glory be to our LORD and KING JESUS forever.

Jesus says; "And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him." Luke 12:4-5
Jesus delighted in the fear of the LORD; "A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD--and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked." Isaiah 11:1-4
"The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous." Psalm 19:9
"The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate." Proverbs 8:3
When it says perfect love drives out fear in 1 John 4:28 it refers to the fear of man---not the fear of God, for the fear of God is pure, enduring forever...according to the Holy Spirit.
"The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted." Proverbs 29:25
We will either fear man, which will prove to be a snare or fear God as He commands us to do and in so doing hate evil and love righteousness. That is the choice we must make.
The true Jesus commands his friends to fear God for a reason---because He loves us by forewarning us. He does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance. It's not just the old covenant it is Jesus commanding those who have ears to hear. So which other Jesus do you preach about? How do you deny His very words yet talk about about love--it has to be a false Jesus you follow and a false love you speak of. Fearing God is the only way we will hate evil and enter in the kingdom, as that is what the True Messiah testifies to.
"The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love." Psalm 147:11
"Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the LORD. Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it." Psalm 34:11-14
"The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness, He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure." Isaiah 33:5-6
The true Jesus commands us to fear God for our good, that we might have life. Will you be one who has ears to hear and seeks to keep his words and testimony...or one who is ashamed of his words because you fear man?
"Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me. Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD. "They would not accept my counsel, They spurned all my reproof. They will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm." Proverbs 1:28-33

Florida Girl66 biblical witchcraft (witchcraft that is addressed and condemned by the scriptures) is divination, fortune telling, hallucination, deception etc. Things that practically hurt people in other words. Something like incense or aroma is actually very pleasant and good and harmless. God is not irrational. He is very practical.

It is very important to teach about the fear of god. Now when the Bible says fear god it doesn't mean like tremble away from him no. Love God and Trust him but fear his wrath! Because he has the ability to destroy your soul
So trust God and love him like a friend but fear his wrath

  • @TheBereangirl

Ehhhh... it's okay to be literally afraid of God, because he can SO HURT you! That is a very healthy fear to have, as it will help keep you alive. Even though David loved the Lord, like you read, he also feared him to the point of trembling. Moses did too. What happens when we forget to fear him? David and Moses found out the hard way. Never forget just how fearsome God is, he IS ALMIGHTY GOD!

Doktor James With all due respect, that does change everything, because “Jesus” is The Gift of God, HE is Eternal life. When you KNOW HIM(Jesus), you will become like HIM more and more everyday. Eternal life does not start when you die and go up to heaven, it starts from here on earth (Refer to 1 John 4:17).
Eternal Life according to The Word of God(The Bible) John 17:3 -“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
The word “Know” here is the same word which was used in Hebrew to describe “Adam KNEW Eve and she conceived” in Gen 4:1 and also “Cain KNEW his wife and she conceived” in Gen 4:17. God is looking and want us to have a close relationship with us (Not Sexually perverted) But a close and intimate relationship now on this earth and make HIM our God.
      I hope that explains 🙂.

Matthew 6:19-21 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. (20)Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. (21) Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be."
Luke 18:22 When Jesus heard his answer, he said, “There is still one thing you haven’t done. Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
Luke 12:33-34 (33)"Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. (34)For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Matthew 13:44-46 (44)“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
(45)“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. (46)When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it."
Luke 14:33 "So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own."
Acts 2:45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.
Matthew 19:27 Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”
Mark 10:24-25 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! (25)It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
Mark 1:16-20 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. (17)“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” (18)At once they left their nets and followed him.
(19)When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. (20)Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
Luke 6:20 (20)and Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God (24) "But woe to you who are rich,
for you have already received your comfort."
Matthew 8:20 Jesus replied "Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the son of man has no place to lay his head"
For more of this kind of stuff I recommend "A Voice In The Desert" here on UA-cam. There are people in the world who take this literally and put it into practice. They have sold their possessions and left their Jobs to spent their time building the kingdom of Heaven and God feeds them. John 6:27 Matthew 6:24-34

Fear of God IS NOT Grace, nor is it an acceptable parameter to live life. This just closes off minds & hearts. Preventing you from dreaming & aspiring, free thinking & imaginative. This attribute of our Humanity actually creates futures & all this way of believing in God does is prevent yours & makes you afraid to live your own life. It's just CONTROL through Fear. That's all that is. Human Beings aren't under any one nor must we always have to constantly go uphill to prove ourselves to someone who technically is supposed to already know us. This is just a twist of what God really is. Life IS CHANGE, whether you like this or not. If you feel like life is passing you by & you can't catch up, maybe it's time to reexamination what you consider important in life. It's not meant to be lived & trying to literally detach from the world & yourself just because you believe the world MUST literally go to hell & your trying to get to heaven is kind of sick. 😐 There are other people out here who also live & have a right to live & be different too. This isn't just about You AND then everyone else, the ones who don't believe like you & actually have free minds & free will. All people matter. It's selfish & heartless thinking & belief. 😑 Learn the value of Human Life & you'll understand who & what God actually is - LIFE 💖

Once again he does not use the correct interpretation. The Old Testament is different than the New Testament. Galatians 2:14-21 But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?
“We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, “knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified." So it is very clear that we are justified by faith, and not the Law!!! Yes the wages of sin is death, but I can never pay that debt - and that is why Jesus came. He kept the L:aw so I would not have to!!! V17-21 will even make this CLEAR
“But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!
“For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
“For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
“I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”
So Paul is very clear - He destroys the Law, not because the Law is bad, but because the Law cannot be kept!
Pauls also says we paid the price of sin, we paid the wage of Death, How? When we were co crucified WITH Christ. This is also found in Romans 6:6 - Just before Romans 6:23. Yes the wages of sin is Death, but Jesus died on the cross so did I, Why? Because I cannot keep the law, none of us can. Paul tears down the Law not because it was bad - but because we have no hope to keep it! You do not observe the sabboth - I heard you say that. So you are doomed - Because if you do not keep the Whole law and break even the smallest James 2:10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
You said your self, there is no difference in the old testament and the new testament. So when you do not keep the Sabboth you broke the whole law!
Do you eat Pig meat? Do you eat unclean animals, then you broke that part of the Law. You broke the whole law!
Finally, Do not set aside the Grace of Jesus! Saying we have the ability to keep the Law says we do not need Christ. If my righteousness can come through the law - then Christ had no need to die! This is the main teaching of Paul all through Romans, Galatians, Hebrews, Colossians, Timothy and Thessalonians.
Geez you heretics really do not understand God's word. In fact the whole reason Jesus had to come and die, and it was the plan of God from the moment he decided I will create man in my image, that he would have to sacrifice his own son to pay for my sins. So the question YOU need to look at is simple, Who pays for your sins? If you think you are worthy to pay for your sins - there is no hope for you!

@@angelpaige5720 You are correct. If Christians completely stop sinning after they get saved then why did Paul write this?
      1 Corinthians 3:1-3
Dear brothers and sisters, when I was with you I couldn’t talk to you as I would to spiritual people. I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in the Christian life.
I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready, for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world?
This is a key verse. If we allow our sinful nature to work, then we sin. Also Paul wrote Galatians 5 because we live by the flesh and the spirit. But we need to be aware of our sin, and it needs to bother us, Hebrews 12:4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin. NLT
      - You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; NASB
      - You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. NKJV
Sin is bad, and we have to work on it, read all of Hebrews 12 because God punishes us when we sin, because we are his children.
