The issue is not the "daily repentance" but that the people did not genuinely repent. In their hearts and mind they did not repent as a result they didn't turn from their evil ways even if they confessed with their lips.
God cannot be mocked, He sees everything down to the hidden thoughts of man's heart. He knows those who are truly repentant.
In Jeremiah 15:7b God Himself revealed His disgust with their fake repentance "...I will destroy MY PEOPLE, since they do not RETURN FROM THEIR WAYS.
The evidence of true repentance is that man turns (returns, stops and turns around) from living in sin, man hates sin, he stops sinning willfully.

So many have jumped to their own conclusions here in comments. Did you fully LISTEN/SEE before commenting? One is not in true repentance, if one keeps returning to their vomit. Do you want to stop the sin because it's sin and you don't want to go to hell? That in a sense is works, your own works, or do you want to stop because you sincerely want to please the Lord? Prove you want to change and change. The Lord will assist you in courage and strength to make those changes, because your love for him to please him is what He wants most.

Let me get this straight...Your entire doctrine of righteousness sits upon...
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Yet you say Christians don't need repentance. Repentance means "Change your Mind". If God disciplines you to "change your mind" about something that He wants corrected and you agree, that is repentance. You agree to be changed. That is loving God with all your mind. Is your stance that you have nothing to be corrected in your life?

    • @fishesflyinnightskydrive4397
      @fishesflyinnightskydrive4397 5 років тому +3

No, he is saying a Christian should Repent Once, and be Sinless, and Perfect. He says there is no need for Repentance since we will be Perfect, which is a pride filled LIE. Do your Best not to Sin, but when you commit a Sin that the Holy Spirit convicts you of, you should Repent. Real Christians will cry with sadness that they cannot live up to God's Standards, and I am not calling this man a False Christian, but a Real Christian understands that there is only ONE Sinless Perfect Being, and that is God then his Holy Angels after him, and then us through Christ, and us because whatever we do is Sinful, even the Good we do can have a Sinful reasoning. "Let me help this old Lady, so I CAN GAIN God's Favor" not because it is by the Law that we give services, but because of our Own Will. A man claiming to be Perfect..

@@fishesflyinnightskydrive4397 What does the bible say about Favor, which in the OT is called Grace?
Proverbs 3:1-4 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: (2) For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. (3) Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: (4) So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
So....Do not forget God's Law (Torah), Let your heart keep His commandments, Do not let mercy and truth abandon you, Keep mercy and Truth upon your heart, THEN you will "ACQUIRE, ATTAIN" Favor, also know as Grace. Pretty simple formula. Don't take my word for it. If you are able search in a bible app for H2580, look to see what "favor" is. And how it is usually found or "attained, acquired". Genesis 6:8-9 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. (9) These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. How did Noah "acquire" grace? By being just. Is that simple?

I disagree. Repentance is necessary every time one commits sin until one does not commit sin anymore THEN repentance is not necessary anymore. If one continues to sin and then repents for that sin continuously, yes, the Most High Holy Almighty God Jehovah will eventually reject ye who favors sin more so than repentance. Favorably, you are almost accurate on how the Most High Holy Almighty God Jehovah favors repentance correctly. Keep up the good work! I'm watching you carefully.

By sinning we give place to the devil. By repenting we ask God to get the effect of that sin off of us and he is faithful and just to forgive us. If your saved your spirit is sealed by the Holy Spirit. Sin can't defile your born again spirit but it can destroy your soul and body. Otherwise when you get to heaven you can boast and say look how holy I was I made it by not sinning. The truth is we sin all the time. Sins of ommision not doing what we know we should be. Do you love your wife like Christ loved the church? Are you walking in your calling? If not those are sins. Sin is no longer an issue with God if you are born again but it is an issue with your soul and body and it effects your witness. Sin doesn't effect God's love toward you if you are saved but it effects your love toward God. Once I've discovered these truths which Paul spoke about in Romans, Hebrews and Gallations it has real become an anchor of peace in my life. You can't sin your salvation away. Sin is stupid but God loves you stupid so stop it.

    So I have a question.
Before I ask this question, I want you to know that I wholeheartedly believe that without repentance a person cannot be saved. The bible makes that abundantly clear. If the righteous are barely saved, what will happen to the ungodly.
    Here is my thought:
I've noticed you use a lot of old testament examples to demonstrate your ideology regarding repentance. However, all of the examples so far have their biblical context in the book you read from, but you rarely acknowledge the new context of an old covenant fulfilled, and new covenant context with Christ as our mediator.
This particular video mentions Moses or Samuel as a mediator and God would not even consider them, but Christ is far greater than them and has accomplished a new and living way to the Father, with His own blood on the mercy seat speaking "better things" in heaven then what is taking place on earth, not only that but He Himself Advocates on behalf of a person who already repents once, which I'm sure your very candid with in 1 John 2:1-2,2-8.
    My question:
Why don't you address the importance of Christ's position as our Mediator, Advocate, and High Priest?
    Last thought:
I think you may have some error in disregarding the importance of the "effort" that Christ, the Father and the Holy Spirit put into working in us.
    P.s
Do you believe that after a person fully repents of all their sins that they have any room for growth? Any room to have "more godliness" increase in their live? And if so, how could that be possible if they have repented from all sin?
Thank you Collin, I hope you respond. I appreciate all your videos, and how they have added to me the fear of God.

Collin Michael - I generally enjoy your messages. I take it that your main message here is that God will require us all to progress and quit sinning, lest at some point His patience is used up and He must send us into severe discipline to bring us to deeper understanding. (Even though God accepts the efforts and repentance for a season, yet there is a point at which He says "enough" - yet then He sends them into Babylon and promises He will lead them out of Babylon again. ......... I wanted to help you by pointing out that Jere. 15:6 probably means that God is weary of His own "regretting" which He does when He accepts their repentance. It is like Gen. 6:6. God regrets things. But now, He has declared that He is sending them into Babylon and He shall no longer repent of the evil which He has said He will do to them. So, while it is true that He will NO LONGER accept their repentance, yet He DID ACCEPT it heretofore. Now He is weary of accepting their repentance. Now He is weary of regretting what He will do to them. Now He will punish them.

Nineveh was eventually destroyed because they did not maintain their repentance daily. Repentance is something God does in us; it’s not an offering we can give to him. We don’t exchange our repentance for forgiveness. We cry out to God and he does in us what we cannot do ourselves. I do see the point of what you’re saying that God hates a lifestyle of continuous unrepentant sin. We still struggle with pride and laziness, the world, the flesh and the devil, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

Sorry but you are wrong and misinterpreted what jesus said. Look at what he told the disciples how to pray in Matthew chapter 6 veres 9 thru 13, and I quote Jesus himself. In this manner therefore pray: Our Father in heaven, hollowed be your name. Your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. (AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS, AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBETORS) . THATS EXMAPLE NUMBER ONE. NO EXEMPTIONS. And in that very same chapter in verse 14 Jesus said, FOR IF YOU DON'T FORGIVE MEN THERE TRESPASSES YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU. Now in 1st John Chapter 1 verse 8 it very clearly states and I quote( IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE NO SIN, WE DECEIVE OURSELVES, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN US.) VERSE 9 AND I QUOTE ( IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL ANDJUST TO FORGIVE OUR SINS AND CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.) There are so many more examples in the new and old testaments that we are all sinners and that we all for short of the glory of God. Example psalms 51, psalms 32, and so many, many other places. Jesus said he came to add to the law, not to take away. God says in his word that the heavens and earth shall pass away but he world is eternal, period. Why do so many people have to change what the word of God says, and try to interpret it??? Doesnt the word of God warns mankind not to change a single word I the bible? Jesus is the son of the Living God of Abraham,Issac and Jacob. The God of isreal and the tribes of judea. So if he clearly states to his disciples and to us how to pray to God, in example Matthew chapter 6, verse 10 that we have to ask God to forgive every day? Verse 13 continues from verse 12 with an and and I quote( And FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS, AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS). That in itself doesn't need not explanation or to look for a different meaning. The son of God was not joking around when he told his disciples and us how to pray. What he said he meant and means it for all eternity. Peter, or Paul, or John, or Luke or Matthew, none of his disciples didn't die for our sins, it was Jesus himself, period!! Not try to disrespect you but the I believe and take it as face value what the son of the most high, wonderful and most awesome Jesus Christ said over any man's word. Jesus was very clear.

Is this Biblical? In the Lord's prayer, Christ himself told us what manner we should pray when his disciples specifically asked. Right in the middle of the prayer, the Messiah himself said, "forgive us our sins as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us."
Humility for our sins should not and will not ever be forgotten. A continual attitude of repentance and humility is actually a good thing.
That being said, we should not continue in sin that grace may abound. We are commanded to be Holy as the Lord is Holy.
That means we will keep his commandments. Not 8 of them. Not 9 of them. All 10 of them. But the vast majority like to ignore the fourth commandment.
Why did Christ say that in that day, many will come saying that they did many wonderful works in Christ's name. And yet he says, away from me, I never knew you.
    A true commitment is a true commitment. A half-hearted commitment isn't a true commitment.
God knows the heart. Peter stepped out in arrogance and conceit boldly stating that he would not deny Christ when the Messiah was taken by the authorities. Yet Peter still denied him. Yet Peter repented and remained loyal to God. Peter was accepted. Yet Judas Iscariot was also sorrowful for betraying Christ. Yet his "repentance" will not be accepted even if he hung himself.
Sin is a transgression of the law. The law given in Exodus 20. Yet nearly all of the "Christian" movement willfully violates the 4th one. The only part of the Bible actually written by the finger of God himself.

There a word in Hebrews 6:4 called "afresh", this word mean over and over and over again, and this is exactly what they are doing with their repentance, crucifying the Son of GOD over and over again putting him to an open shame and by doing this you're making it impossible to grant you your repentance because you are not taking your walk with Him seriously and are straddling the fence and being lukewarm, your heart and your mind is not made up.Read also 5-8 &2cor.7:10.

People need to know themselves and God and what He commands and honestly compare it to what they truly want. I believe that unless you are 100% clear and honest with yourself and God about all those things first thing, you cannot truly repent. Second thing is you need to recklessly abandon the things you want if they hinder you from doing the things that God commands you to do should you get saved. For example, if Jesus says "go therefore and make disciples of the nations" and you try to repent with no interest or desire or resolve to obey that commandment then God will not let you repent of sin. So examine all the commandments of Christ and the standard of righteousness in Exodus and God's attributes and promises. Cherish every bit of them and obey everything Jesus said to do as you are repenting.

To be practical, I am convinced today that I am required to obey with joy and no grumbling if I am to have any chance of repentance. And the thief on the cross is under a different circumstance. It’s not that God was disgusted with Israel’s repentance. He was disgusted with their hypocrisy. These people would go into the valley of the sons of hinnom and sacrifice their children to molech and then go back to the temple and worship God. They were not acknowledging the sabbath of the Lord. The elders were bowing down, IN THE TEMPLE, to the sun gods of the east. Women were wearing for Tammuz, IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD. God was patient and warned through many prophets, amongst many generations, that this day would come. And when it comes there will be NO turning back. They WILL go into captivity for 70 years because of their detestable sins. Their works were like filthy rags and He despised their feasts and sabbaths because they were doing all these detestable sins and still worshipping Him in his temple. It started with the very princes of His altar and spread amongst the people of the nation. For he who turns his ear away from His law, even his prayer is an abomination. It is not repentance the Lord despises but repentance that is not sincere.

NOT the same thing as repenting and wanting to keep and humble heart rather than being haughty and saying I'm good, I'm good to go, I'm not sinning, no need to repent..This is manipulation, there are sins we're not aware of in God's eyes, you're using your own perception to judge whether you're sinning on a human scale, BIG mistake I think.

Most people here are not understanding what he meant... The thing that his trying to explain is that if you truly repent your sin to God, you should not walk again to that same path instead of asking for forgiveness over the same sin. For an instance when david put his soldier in a war that surely will be killed for him to get his wife. David did not tell God right away about his sin instead he tried to hide his sin from God because of guilt. It takes days for david to repent his sin. This is how genuinly david repent his sin. First, he told God what happened, Next he asked God forgiveness and the most important thing is that he did not commit same mistake again unlike repententing daily for the same sin as if a daily habit. If you truly repent your sin you should not or consiousness walk towards the same path like david did after he repent his sin from God.
