    His vids are good. But real life savage fighting is always so different from training. Training just puts you at better technique advantage. I've been on giving and receiving of this takedown. If the other is quick before you get your head to their chest, you're bound to catch least 1 or 2 temple shots. My exp.

      Its not a big diffrence. The key is to train your brain. Its the adrenaline and the panic that makes you feel like that . Keep your composure. A street brawler have no technique, so uf you fighting a madman use his mistakes aginst him. He will not think of angles, pivoting, level shift, feinnts, takedowns. A combination of hard legkicks , feints and fast in and out punches will do the trick on the average person

    I really like your vids cause they're usually realistic, BUT I get suspicious about this technique because I've heard from example Bas Rutten that if you drop your knees into the concrete like the guy in the red shirt did when doing the takedown full speed, you can shatter your own kneecaps against the ground.

    Thanks! I once got involved in a situation with a person he always thought he was strong by using cuss words and shoving,so one time he picked up my water bottle and sandwich and said ''who owns this?'' I replied with ''me'' he then threw the sandwich on the concrete and poured the water bottle and said 'Hahaha!' and spat at me so... I decided to run after him and he started to run aswell he started to worry 'cause I was catchin' up then I rugby tackled him from behind and held his head on the concrete with my leg and said ''IF YOU TRY AND DO THAT AGAIN IT WON'T END WELL'' then got up and walked away, he started to cry. this was during the teenager times.(I'm pretty sure he pissed himself then.)

    I never got into a fight before but I remember the time where I almost got in one. So, me and my classmates were doing dodgeball in gym and stuff. It was all fun but my “friend” Geno pushed me into my own teammates, and my teammates got mad at me. So I pushed Geno to the wall to tell him to stop. Apparently, he didn’t learn his lesson so he started pushing me more, so I pushed him back. A couple rounds and I picked up a ball and was about to throw it but then Geno yanked it out of my hand. I got mad and couldn’t control myself and tackled him, took the ball back, and continued playing. This time, he learned his lesson. But, then he started talking shit about me behind my back and changing the story. But eh, I don’t really care. Cause no one really liked Geno so I’m sure they didn’t believe him.

    The counter to the first 4 is the reverse guillotine when someone goes low like that I just anticipate it and get my arm ready as they lift me I put there head in the reverse guillotine. We both go down but he's landing on his head and I'm choking him at the same time. I only use take downs like what he did in the video if if been hitting at them for a hot seconed like maybe I've thrown a jab and a low kick I may lead it to one of those just to like slow down that guy's focus. But never right off the bat. I welcome any other advice of course I've been trying to find some new take downs and some new on the ground techniques really trying to learn the triangle can't find a good video on it.

    Nick I do 100% agree that ground fighting with multiple attackers is foolish. I know a huge variety of ground skills for which i've practiced for over a decade. From my experience the most effective style for me personally in a 1 verse 1 encounter is to take it to the ground. ground fighting is where I feel the most confident. I do also train a ton of striking and kicking. My question to you is... What do you think of taking a fight to the ground and also involving striking and kicking. I find it very very easy no matter the size or athleticism of the individual to restrain, strangle etc. when im in my world which is ground fighting. remember I also train striking and kicking.. thanks hope your doing well in these hard times! take care Nick!

      It is easier most people think you're going to punch in a street fight if you use the punch for the blinder and go for a double leg or if you're close enough to shoot for the double it usually catches them off guard. Get the mount and head butt the fok out of them it's over

    Never do that first double leg take down, u will 9 times out of 10 get headlocked and risk being choked the fuck out.. look at where his neck is, it is literally being given as a gift to his arms to get choked, never ever do a double or single leg shoot on the street, even the pros get guillotined from that shoot. FOOO BARRR You have to move a lot and change directions. Double leg (don't lock hands) charge sideways, single leg, high crotch, double leg again. Also, judo takedowns like inside trip (o uchi gari), back trip (tani otoshi) and ankle pick work well against bigger people. A really big person is usually slower and easier to get out of balance, if you know what you're doing.

      @@studioasamo2390 I WON !! We stood in front of each other and traded a few shots, before I faked a jap and than took him down, (not as smooth as in the video). I got on top, controlled him, and when he got tired and had his guard down, I unloaded on him until someone pulled me off. We had a little beef afterwards, but we are good friends now 🔥🤙🏽

    okay nice tutorial man but what if your street fight opponent headlocks then goes for a guillotine choke while you shoot the take down?

    • @gabrielwalker3685
      @gabrielwalker3685 8 років тому +1

      +vico dy Okay so basically if you go for a takedown like a double leg in a street fight, the other guy will have a hard time putting a guillotine on you or any kind of headlock if your head is tucked up behind the guy's armpit.
      For me rule of thumb is to make sure your legs are under your head - basically don't lean forward when you do it because then you will get choked or sprawled and you won't be able to lift them either because you won't have the power from your legs lifting the guy up but more so just pushing you forward into the guy and you'll be off balance.

      @saintsrowminecrafter 8 років тому

      +winter ramos Yea a lot of techniques are just speed and balance take it for example someone goes for a kick you kick out there one leg that is on the ground no matter if there 100 pounds or 300 if you know how to sweep it. Not all take-downs require muscle a lot of take-downs in BJJ are just taking your opponents balance.

      Takedowns that require no muscle mostly are Judo throws and sweeps I'd look into some of those if I were you.

    • @gabrielwalker3685
      @gabrielwalker3685 8 років тому

      +winter ramos Alright, so obviously if your weight is lower than the other guy;s, it's gonna take more power from the legs to lift, that is true. However if you get in nice and tight and get right under a heavier guy you will be able to lift him. Your legs are very strong, much more so than your back or arms, and as long as all of the lifting is done with your legs you will get him off his feet.
      If he's really really heavy, then you might have trouble getting him right off his feet but you will still be able to take away a lot of his balance. Remember if you are double legging the guy your arms are wrapped around his legs so you can use your arms once he's off balance to pull his lower body out to the side and topple him over.
      You're not just lifting the guy up when you double leg, a lot of the time it's much better to drive into his side with your upper body while pulling his legs in the opposite direction so he won't be able to stay standing up.

    • @padraigallen1553
      @padraigallen1553 8 років тому

      +winter ramos As a very skin guy, 6 foot and 145 lbs, I have done this take down sparing with guys 60 lbs heavier. You don't have to lift them much, just enough to break foot contact with the floor and disturb their balance a little. And be fast about it or your going to get choked. Pull behind the knees while pushing the body.

    It's funny, cause no one fights like that and then willingly lets you take them down... in a real fight you'd prob be slapped in the face a few times, and if you manage to take them down, they will either be fighting back or trying to get away!

      They're doing it slowly to show the technique. Shooting a takedown on an unsuspecting person works very well. As for them getting back up. If you know how to hold mount and side control, mix in strikes and subs... they aint getting back up.
