I’m always impressed by the less expensive semi and hollowbody Ibanez line. I have an AF75 that I love to play more than most of my higher end guitars! 🎸😃👍🏻
I have played this same guitar recently and really like the tone of it...has a softer old school tone of the 50s-60s tone about it like the epiphone casino...more leaning on the jazz side of tone...
From Leo: Good presentation Jack. I never owned a 55, but had the big brother AF95. It was every bit as good as my Joe Pas Epiphone. Great playing guitar, but it will squeal like crazy with gain and volume. If I am not playing clean, I use a solid body. The one problem I had was the bridge skating around, drifting the intonation. I got some strips of weak double sided tape for taping posters to drywall without damage. (office supply store) That cured the bridge drift problem, and is easy to remove. I did not want to permanently pin it like rockers used to do. .
What an awesome demo! I’ve pulled these off the wall at Guitar Center a bunch of times. I’ve always been tempted, but I have several semi-hollow bodies. This is the first playing demo I’ve heard and you really made me want one!!
I played one off the wall at GC over the weekend and made until today: Wednesday with pulling the trigger on it. I love it. I’ve been jonesing for another full hollow body and it doesn’t disappoint. Especially for the price.
Don't. Safe a bit more money and get a higher model from Ibanez. That guitar is really as basic as it gets and it looks crap. You will regret it very soon. I bought one when I was pissed and gave it away for free. I could not bare looking at it. The pickups are good though.
I agree with your statement on playing gloss finishes, stickered a portion of my strat to change the feel because the finish kept on giving me friction trouble
I love the Ibanez hollow bodies and really rate the AS93 FM VLS an all maple ES335 equivalent. Sounds great and is extremely versatile. Bought one as a gift for my brother, and it would be a guitar that I would be proud to own. Ibanez have been making great hollow body guitars for a long time.
@@Akatsuki_Ren_HU That's on my list to own. Yamaha has quality instruments. Not just guitars. Even their lowest end Pacifica seems to be a good guitar. I rarely buy new instruments. I like buying pawn shop deals and making them the best possible guitar they can be with simple setup and bolt on upgrades. I bought 2 guitars new and both are Ibenez full Art core hollow bodies. As 55 Ag 75g ..never selling or trading those.
i 've had the left hand af55 and like that it's easy to play for an intermediate level player compared to my other acoustic folk guitar. i still have the original strings on it and they feel nice and soft on the fingers and barre chords are way easier to play. i like to play rock, folk, beatles, country and some jazz standsrds. i'm getting better at it and i sing ok too i think. thnx for the info.

This was my first electric guitar! I bought because i like the jazz guitar design and i love rockabilly too
Thanks Justin 👍🏻 and Jack 👍🏻
Even though it's right out of the box, fresh from the workshops, it looks old in a comforting way.
Very nice Jack. Great playing, great tones. That guitar sounds very good. For the price it’s amazing.
I plan on getting this. It'll be my first Ibanez

Nice! For some reason, I was craving some wah on that last overdriven lick.

I don't know why, but I want one! I mean, I really want one!
I really liked the way keyboard played.
People can have fender and Gibson. I enjoy my Ibenez’s
Same here but i prefer Yamaha and i have Yamahas to
I’m good with all three!!❤

Players as diverse as Steve Howe and Ted Nugent used hollowbodies in the context of rock
What a fantastic video have a good day Jack also i had a cold this week ❤😊🎸🇨🇦🌲❤🇺🇸💙🧡
Are these all laminate woods ?
I just bought this guitar. But I’m not getting the fat sound I was looking for. What do you recomend for me to thicken the sound on it.
As simple as it sounds, just play with Equalizer on your amp or pedal. I have this guitar and i can get pretty fat sound with it.
I use the neck pickup with the tone rolled off, to really warm it up. (I own the guitar in the vid BTW.)
Kinda wanna hear some Rancid on that guitar. It’s has the looks of Tim’s guitar
Question : You claim this is maple, is this real wood, or what is the Body of the Guitar made from ? Anyone?
Great band
4:00 can’t you just tape up the f holes to stop feedback?
Im not sure taping it would help, but I have heard about people stuffing t shirts inside the sound cavity.
Why would anyone do that ? Just don't buy a hollow body if that's what they want 🤔@@JackFossett
A kind of cigar box with strings . Mine is hanging at the wall. I don't like to play it ...
You definitely use the wrong amp for this guitar.
