This was perfect. I have a 2020 STX 160. I'm not a mechanic, but do a lot of work to my vehicles and boats. It took me about an hour total to pull the cowlings, disconnect the forward / reverse handle to give more access to pull out the pump make the modification and put everything back together.. Do you have any pictures or video on how you did it? I'm about to change the fuel pump on mine and my biggest worried is getting the fuel tank assembly out of the tank. Would appreciate any insight.
Is it advisable to keep the plastic cover off wich covers the fuel bag, am seeing more and more people leaving it off, saying its more fuelflow and longer lifetime. To mee i think it will suck dirt upp faster

Much appreciated :) Just remove the fenders, swing the console to the side and you can pull the pump

The fuel pump is in side the plastic mechanism that the fuel bag is. There are 3 or 4 clips holding it inside the case
I have a 2020 Kawasaki SX-R. Do you have to pull engine to get to fuel pump? Or is there a trick to get it out without removing engine from hull?
You can do it in the hull, just move some stuff out of the way, tilt the pump out to the side.
