- A man was rescued Tuesday afternoon after suffering a shark bite near the Farallon Islands west of San Francisco, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. Joe Vazquez reports. (10/23/18)

I've heard of Ron before but I didn't realize he actually jumps into that area of the Farallon Islands, I would love to see his footage and his pictures that's incredible that he does that, you couldn't be in a more beautiful but hostile ecosystem.

I bet he's the type to say stuff like "you're more likely to d!e in a car crash than get attacked by a shark"......while failing to take in to account the fact that, unlike driving, the vast majority of the population does not swim in the ocean
Anyone who ventures there knows the sharks are there, seasonal, but they are there, big ones. Why would anyone want to get in the water with them?
My friend was an expert at cannon balls and was bitten by a tiger shark years ago...Maybe that has something to do with it...🦈

How did it happen? I know he's had a lot of close calls and I was under the impression that he had developed procedures that kept him fairly safe even there. I know he's no longer diving for abalone and urchin out there.....was he just diving for fun?
