Just wanted to say that this was very helpful, and I also enjoyed the way the video flowed. Going to make my Helmet order today. Next step Night vision.
Excellent video man!!! Misleading with the cold weather title I almost missed it. So glad I didn’t. I have been wanting to run the ops core ear pro mount on my team Wendy when I bought one but didn’t want to buy Amp’s. Ordered my helmet today along with NV’s and all and so I’m setting up my ear pro to order and this just answered everything for me. Thanks!!!
Excellent video. I also chose the Team Wendy EXFIL LTP bump in coyote brown with the 3.0 system. Very well made and comfortable to wear. The Boa works really well. While Ops-Core also makes an excellent bump for the money I feel that the Team Wendy is a better choice.
Great video very well thought out! The struggle is real with the cold lol I'm in MN and it gets pretty cold here as well. Not sure if this tip would help. But you can run some small zip ties through the hook holes on the RNVG so that they create a larger loop for a hooking point so the hooks that come with the team wendy will clip on them. But nothing wrong with the solution you came up with 👊🏼
Team Wendy sells their own balaclava, “EXF” I think it’s called? Works very well with their ballistic helmets. The top/head portion is very thin so it fits easily and provides a bit of warmth (not too much required for the ballistic helmets as they aren’t ventilated). Good length for neck coverage.
I stumbled across this video in my searching and I am very glad I did. Great video and breakdown. Very informative and easy to follow. I am getting into night vision and looking to see how others have their setups. Thanks so much!
Great video, tossed you a sub - surprised your sub count is so low! Also I think it's indicative of how insanely expensive the night vision game is that a $380 helmet is considered a screaming steal of a deal lol. Not meant as a criticism - I have the same helmet and also consider it "affordable", but only because compared to my $4,500 mono, it seems like an afterthought.
When are you going to show some of that night vision comp shooting footage (I am not sure how someone would do a first person view?). Maybe use a single night vision and record with one of those digital night visions, could be expensive.
Solid helmet setup and video bro, does the TNVC 4D Pads got frozen solid when you are out running and gunning? I have heard a few stories like that when people doing night vision stuff in cold weather
Thanks for the video, one little thing I learned, is if you look in the bag that came with your RNVG, you should have gotten two small little key rings that attach to your RNBG that you used to connect with your hooks. You can also look online I found a set on Alibaba that might fit the bill.
Good stuff. I definitely want to upgrade my earpro and attachment points to them to what you have. Guess I'll be throwing more money into it lol but it's a good upgrade. Great video man, very informative and thorough, which I appreciate greatly. I'll using this video as a reference to do some upgrades, god bless brotha from old Carolina.
There's a thing on Amazon that is the same concept as the tarsier for the pvs14. You buy that and the screw on sacrificial lense to the end of it and it screws into the pvs14. Been running it a full year now with no issues. I highly recommend it. I'm not sure if I can post links here I can link what I bought on Amazon if not I'll post the key words.
Outstanding vid! Thank you for posting it. As someone trying to learn a bit before making the big investment into NV this info was extremely helpful. Keep up the great work, and thank you.
I am using the NON ops core version. For the Team WENDY select the ACH/ECH/CRYE/MTEK version. These are the ones that I am using and they are still working great for me!
Passive aiming with Red dot on pistol. Focus to infinity/ stars with caps open, I don’t adjust focus when I close the caps, but good enough to see and mark targets 2 to 3 feet.
I just recently got the Princeton Tec Charge Pro light with the Team Wendy mount but how to you secure the light to the mount properly. Im able to hit it with my palm slightly and it shifts on me
How secure are the ops core arms in your experience? Some say they slide out of the mounting slots, others say they're ok. I'm looking at an Exfil SL with amp arms.
The piece that holds the ear cup to the arm is like a ball joint. I have had these screws loosen, but I put some blue locktite on them and a year later they are still holding. Definitely something I check from time to time though. Hope this helps!🤙🏼
448 subs, quality of garand thumb, orion, fng, wise men, and other channels... consider me your 449th

How’s it holding up? Thinking about getting the same helmet.
This is a super informative video. Great breakdown and setup. I’m definitely going to steal some of these ideas

Awesome content dude 🔥🔥
Need to get that watch on NV mode!
I normally do, but that's how I operate my camera when I am videoing.
Weird question, but what did your head measure at? Can’t decide which size to get. I’m at 23 inches even.

Where did you get that sick helmet t shirt ?
As far as the 4D pads , which version on the website did you choose ? ops core or the ach/ech/crye/mtek?
I am using the NON ops core version. For the Team WENDY select the ACH/ECH/CRYE/MTEK version. These are the ones that I am using and they are still working great for me!
You you using an IR laser on your pistol or red dot under nods? What focal length, caps closed or open? Thanks
Passive aiming with Red dot on pistol. Focus to infinity/ stars with caps open, I don’t adjust focus when I close the caps, but good enough to see and mark targets 2 to 3 feet.

What size of the Agilite cover did you get for your LTP? I've been thinking of buying it but I don't know what size to get.
