My EDC includes a Taurus GX4 which relegated the G3C to a house gun. My Spectrum is crap. I has been back to Taurus twice which did not resolve the failure to feed issues. I have polished the feed ramp and every other thing that could hang up the round. Took it to the range last week and did not get thru one magazine without a failure to feed. I like the pistol and would carry it if it was reliable.
My biggest lemon of a firearm actually wasn’t a Taurus. It was a tie between the psa dagger and a gen3 Glock 26. Both of them couldn’t finish an entire mag without jamming.
I have the original Taurus PT22 steel version...and the newer PT22 Poly version. They are fun to goof around with @ the range. But not near 100% reliable. Good info SPN.
The fact that they sent production back to Brazil makes me nervous. I bought my sons the Taurus TX22, and they are great. Oddly enough they discontinued the Gen 1 and the Gen 2 and compact both get bad reviews online.
We don’t like Taurus we LOVE Taurus! The best firearms fit finish function and financially for the middle class man period! You save money but do not sacrifice on ergos reliability or function! We LOVE Taurus!
@@spnfirearmsnothing stood out to me yet nothing really innovative besides that crazy keltec 57. I'm kinda getting sick of tricked out 2011's at this point.
I have keltec P17. Pistol is perfectly fine, its the ammo that fails. in my personal tests, 90days was about the most i could carry loaded mags and have them still work. after that, get a lot of misfires. I went back to carrying my Taurus TH9C. +side the P17 comes with 3 mags and they are cheap too.
That prior model of Taurus tip up 22 was the most unreliable handgun on earth. Looks like they redid it from the beretta tooling they used on the first one that was dog shit. 1/10 rounds maybe 2/10 would fire. Traaash. So maybe that new ones better. It couldn’t be worse.
If u dry fire a rim fire, over time you'll damage the firing pin. It will most often strike the 12 o'clock position on the breech face...whereas a center fire firing pin just hits nothing. But that doesn't mean u can dry fire all center fire guns either! As a good rule...just use a snap cap & don't risk damage.
Shit is mad ugly 🤣😂 and I don’t care what anyone says , Taurus does not have a reputation for reliability and I would not bet my life on any model, the polymer feels so cheap and so does the whole gun in general in my hands
I’m trying to get that channel a certain amount of watch hours so I can have certain features allowed. You don’t have to watch it! Just watch something else! Once I get to where I need to be that one will basically just be a clips channel. Respect
@@spnfirearms weird because I saw the exact same things on this video. The thing that stood out in my mind the most is you flipping the mag out of the G2C over and over again. Turning it almost upside down and launching it out. Saw everything and heard it word for word but I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you.
@ yeah it’s on my other channel! What was a mistake. It was supposed to be a different video. It’s not that big of a deal! I’ll put the video that was supposed to come out out here this week.
I bought a pt22 used with factory wooden grips and the box at a show a few years ago . So far it's been running good.
Give us a pocket carry comparison! I want to see all the pocket pistols in your pockets!😁
I laughed when you pulled it out the box. Great review. If my local shop had it I would get it for a pocket. No more than 250 😅
I just picked up the naa sentinel with the grip holster. Now that's pocket carry!
XS sights, 22 magnum.
Nice I was considering the switch gun in 22 mag for pocket carry

My bet is that it ain't gonna run worth a damn
its a taurus why would it work
I would like to see the DB 380 with a longer grip. The TUC looks like a solid backup.
Can you put 500 rounds through the TUC22 and let us know how reliable it is? Ive heard mixed reviews.

Do you think shot show was underwhelming this year SPN?
I think the releases were underwhelming but there was lots of good stuff I will be bringing you guys! Respect

@ that keltec will be reviewed over here! There are some releases no one knows about yet!
I saw a g2c 9mm are those good?!
50 a mag.... ill stick to glock
They aren't far from 50 lol, unless you use pmags or pro mags i have a walther p22q and the mags are 45$ most 22lr mags are high for some reason
@@K.Miller5150 I get OEMs for 25-30 even, thats significantly less
They're for sale online for $20.
I saw that the bodyguard 2.0 has XS sights at shot show

Id like to see if it will run snake/rat shots. Looks like they just renamed the pt22😢
Fingers crossed this turns out to be a good gun.
Do you have a lcp 22?
Re upload? Or Am I going crazy lol
Does it take the same m@g as the pt22?
Do you guys like the way the TUC looks? To me it looks like someone took a lightsaber and sliced off the front half of the gun.
When’s the gx2 1000 round review coming?
How. About a g3c framed .22LR?
THIS is the best algorithm comment in the world 🌎!!!! Pew pew!!
ya toss away the safety the anti-2-a love ya ...

Reminds me of the Beretta 21 A Bobcat. Of course the Beretta is way more expensive.
How come the lcp max can be dry fired??? Isn’t it also hammer fired
Rimfire handguns typically should not be dry fired.
LCP Max is center fire

@ always a good idea
@@markedman3990 hammer mounted firing pins on older smiths and colts too.
Put that in your prison wallet lol
I'd rather have the GX4. A 22LR pistol is NOT good for self defense. I won't carry below a 9mm.
Taurus tx22 is the best 22LR
G3c litterly comes in 40
Are you gonna lie? Or not even gonna lie?
Brazillian made...22lr...no ejector...9+1...uneeded bulk...yeah thats a bust.
Its made in Georgia.
Taurus 9mm are usually bad for jams … lol Glock mags are cheap as hell too
