Questions & Answers:
Q: Do I need to buy a return trip ticket when purchasing an ATVO bus pass?
A: You'll need one to get back to the airport. If purchased, it will be on the same ticket.
Q: Are there other ways besides the ATVO to get to Venice and back to the airport?
A: There are other ways, but some take frequent stops in-between the two locations, while others take much longer and can be quite expensive. We took the ATVO to minimize time, cost, and risk.
Q: Should I buy a one-way ticket or multi-day pass for the vaporetto?
A: If where you stay is far from the entrance of Venice, it may be best to purchase a multi-day pass so that you can return. Chances are you'll also want to go to different places within Venice during your stay and you may not want to do much walking. In this case, a multi-day pass would be recommended.
Q: What requires currency?
A: What most likely requires currency is a ride on a gondola if you request a ride on the spot. As of February of 2024, it was 90 - 120 Euro.
Q: Do I need to book ahead online to get into exhibits and do they charge a fee?
A: You can book online, but if you get there early to the sites, you might avoid the crowds and get in. There are fees for most, if not all, places.
Q: If I stay on my last night at Annia Park Hotel, which is close to the airport, how do I get there and can I walk?
A: There is a highway barrier which separates the hotel from the airport and so the hotel shuttle will pick you up/drop you off. To find the pick-up point, exit the airport's transportation ticket office as if you've just arrived at Marco Polo and cross the internal lanes used by taxis. Do NOT get as far as the bus terminal (external) lane, but take a RIGHT. A sign will then lead you out with a covered walkway to the bus lane's FAR FWD UPPERMOST POINT (cross it THERE) & then onto a PATH (GLASS-COVERED & "ALONGSIDE" BUS LANE'S LEFT) to the pickup area lot beyond.

Thanks for a video that isn't all about looking at and listening to you chatter on and on (like most travel videos are). It was kinda nice just to see the sights. I’m very glad there is a way to make that early morning flight the next day without the stress of traveling the distance to the airport on the day of. Annia Park Hotel, which is next to Marco Polo, will make sure you get there on time.

We stayed Friday to Sunday. Three days or three nights would provide enough time to see the major sights.
