Marco is a good guy! I love seeing people clean up others mess along the way. We do the same thing on our trips, which is a big reason we take the Trasharoo with us on the longer trips. I wish people would pack out what they bring in. On a different note, Those mud caves were really cool!
Amazing video as usual 😍👍🏽 I would like to point out one thing, if there were no old videos of you, we wouldn’t be watching this now, you started with what you’ve got and been upgrading your skills and jeep all way long to reach where you’re now. You’re a source of inspiration and I learn from you with every new video you post.
I loved watching this trip of yours because it brought back so many great memories growing up going to Anza Borrego and doing those same trails. We started off in a 1981 Toyota pickup and then a 1989 Wrangler and 1991 Ford F-150. Now I want to find the pictures from all those trips and reminisce. Love your work!
I love watching your videos. I have them playing while I sit at my desk working on my business. They really make me feel as if I'm on the trail with you guys. Thank you
Real Nice that Ya'll got to go on this awesome trip. There at the end when the storm came up on ya'll I said a Prayer for all of you and your Son. I hope he didn't have to hit Higher Ground when the storm hit....
What a really cool dad. Justin, you’re so lucky- even if he sometimes embarrasses you with Star Wars jokes! I’m happy to see folks outside, just doing what they love and being good company for one another. The world needs more of this. A lot more of this.
I love Canyon Sin Nombre and Fish Creek. I used to 4 wheel down there with my brother and his friends when I was in high school. I actually have a photo of my 1st gen 4Runner in front of that folded rock in Fish Creek. I have great memories in Anza Borrego and Ocotillo. Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I love your videos! ♥️
I've been rewatching all your videos... You put out some of the best content. Informative, professional, relatable. Can't wait for tj build videos and more exploring!!! I'm learning more spots up here in norcal and will share what I accumulate. I was airborne infantry in the 82nd and enjoy that you and family are prior/active service.
Great view of the unit and deployment country patches in the early in-cab narration, Oorah~! Looks like an awesome trip, thanks for taking all the time to share it.
once again great video.. i always wanted to jeep there. my jeep is still bone stock so i'm glad you mention that i would still be able to wheel out there. thanks for the very important info!
Man that looked like a fun adventure . Cant wait until the continuations . I'm proud to be apart of the Trailrecon team . Until next time . Take care Brad .
Oh man that looks fun! You make me want to think about going the Overland route. I see Marco is running a SPOT unit. I use one on my long motorcycle rides. It can be priceless when you are in the middle of nowhere. The Jeep truck conversion is just incredible! I know about the Teddybear Cactus....it seems they can just jump out at you without you knowing it! Thanks Brad for yet another awesome video. Your filming and editing skills are the best! I have to say I love the Colorado patch on your freedom top! Thanks again for adding another trail to my bucket list!!
For not having done any crazy hard trails, we all really had just an awesome time. I love hitting the rocks and obstacles, but sometime this is just as much fun. I'm hoping to add a patch for every state/country I visit... more to come! Thanks!
I have to say that your adventures have inspired our family to go out too. I love the enthusiasm and the technical details that you bring to your videos and look forward each time you post! Semper Fi!
Brad. Great job as usual. Hope to meet up one of these days. I'm from SD also and run Borrego a lot. Look for me, I'm running the white Cherokee xj named Elizabeth Warren. Can't wait for the next episode.
I just realized that Marco has a manual transmission jeep! It's pretty rare to see manuals these days. I'm in the minority that's actually prefers a manual. It can make wheeling a bit more challenging but that is part of what I love about it. I am Stoked to see Marco is a manual guy also.
Love this adventure you guys were on, great video and editing it's as almost I was riding along, can't wait to get my 2004 Jeep Liberty Renegade trail ready....
Thank you for all of the time and effort you put into these videos and the preservation of an amazing offroad culture!!! Cannot wait to be out there this summer wheeling
Awesome video! I was the guy who stopped you to say hi coming out of fish creek wash onto the pavement. We were worried about you guys later that night when those storms came in! We spent the night in Joshua Tree which got hit very hard by the flash floods. What an adventure, can’t wait to see part 2!
Love your videos Brad. Mine are more shop and/or project related but I would like to do more of our off-road adventures, I just don't think they would turn out as good as yours. Keep up the great videos. Mike
Very small word of advise... When winching, Diablo drop, always hook to low side, it will help get out of bad spot easier and less chance of flopping it. You were attached to high side(drivers) that’s why it was just tracking up the edge so long. Over 20 years experience towing you learn tricks.
Here in Pennsylvania we do not have much offroading like this. Everything here is usually mudding. It would be cool to see this kind of terrain at some point. Great video cant wait for the next one.
Ah, the jumping cactus 🌵. I had to yank three spines out of my finger and thumb while hiking through an area with cholla some years back. Glad to have my Gerber tool with me that day.
I've been going out there in the mud caves for years. I first went out with my dad and friends in Indian guides when I was a little boy. Haven't taken my Jeep out there tho, so that's something for me to do
Big shout out to you guys! Glad to see this video Brad. Great areas your covering. I had met Randy at several of the off road shows and he clued me in on this upcoming trip. I would have love to been there. I met you and Marco at the Beach Bash. And I saw your review of your other friends Jeep. We had went to Williams, Prescott and Sedona I believe that week. I did Broken Arrow, up and down the Devils stair case. And a bunch of others. Look forward to your other videos and would love to join sometime. Great job as always. Jeff Riley / 2018 JLU 37s, 4:88s lift. Poison Spyder, etc.
I'll have to bust Randy's chops for leaking the video! LOL! Glad you enjoyed it. It was a great group of guys to spend a few days with on the trail. More to come from this trip soon.
Another great video, interesting story line and very informative to see the different rigs and how they are setup. Another tip for you in removing those jumping cholla cactus, is to use a comb. Just put the comb between your clothing and the cactus , like you used the knife and just lift off the cactus. Works great, give it try sometime .
Great Video,.. of my old stomping grounds.. love that area off the S2.. I thought for sure you would stop at the Wind Caves before heading out of the canyon.. Great stuff.. Really appreciate your video's.. The editing , sound and Music are all top notch..
We considered the wind caves, but we wanted to get to camp before dark, so we made the call to skip it this trip. I'll have to make a point to hike out there and film it next time. Thank you!
Ya, it's a little bit of an uneasy feeling sliding, down, but I guess because I've done it so many times it doesn't bother me anymore. The easy side is much more manageable. There are lots of great places to camp out there for sure!
That gate keeper might be easy unless you have a turtle back trailer like swell runner and life style overland did! 😂 Love all of these amazing channels!
I love putting the GPS coordinates you give intp Google maps and checking the trail out in the 3D mode. This videos are great motivators to get me out and camping. You've got one of the best off-raod channels on UA-cam, keep it up.
Brad, nice editing improvements! Those mud caves look amazing. If we make it down there sometime we’ll need you and Marco to give us a tour! Sandstone canyon looked amazing too. I’m watching this from camp right now, we are in Moab and just spent all day on Elephant Hill. You were right, it IS an amazing trail, and quite possibly my favorite of all time! We did “Top of the World” yesterday and I have so much footage to edit, I want to get started right away, but we still have one more day of this excitement... we’re doing metal masher tomorrow and then it’s back north to join the family for a nice relaxing Sunday. Thanks for posting this latest chapter, you’ve got me excited for the next video!!!
Love your videos brother had to subscribe just by watching one video, i got a 92 wrangler and you inspired me to work on it and go on adventures like this, keep up the great videos you got my support
Sandstone canyon is on our list for this fall of areas to explore. I've been out to fishcreek wash and the wind caves but not much further. Love the vids. Would love to meet up and drive with you guys.
Really enjoying your video adventures. They’re motivating me to finish my YJ and hit the trails. I’m pretty envious of your new top of the line Jeeps but I dig the old school basics of my YJ which was the last bastion of leaf spring jeeps. Oh one thing, it’s driving me crazy. I really liked how he included the coordinates of each location. Thanks man. Will definitely be checking these places out.
Marco is a good guy! I love seeing people clean up others mess along the way. We do the same thing on our trips, which is a big reason we take the Trasharoo with us on the longer trips. I wish people would pack out what they bring in. On a different note, Those mud caves were really cool!
Marco is like a brother, we always have a great time together. A Trasharoo or other system is a must. Love the mud caves!
Hi..i love the set up of wranglers looking awesome. If someone can help me on my wrangler 2008 2.8 diesel sahara looking for engine computer? Thanks
Amazing video as usual 😍👍🏽 I would like to point out one thing, if there were no old videos of you, we wouldn’t be watching this now, you started with what you’ve got and been upgrading your skills and jeep all way long to reach where you’re now. Man...what a beautiful adventure... I’m inspired to go overlanding ...
Heck ya, get out and see some places and do some camping along the way!
What a great video Brad!! Thanks for sharing the GPS points, really helpful!! Thanks again
Nice scenic trail, and the chow looking good.
I loved watching this trip of yours because it brought back so many great memories growing up going to Anza Borrego and doing those same trails. Hope you got some good video of the storm. Waiting for the next episode. Thanks for bringing us along.
Man, there is some cool stuff over on the east coast. Especially out in the smokey mountains! You guys would have a great time. Absolutely beautiful!
What a really cool dad. Justin, you’re so lucky- even if he sometimes embarrasses you with Star Wars jokes! I’m happy to see folks outside, just doing what they love and being good company for one another. The world needs more of this. A lot more of this.
Nothing beats having an adventure with family! Thank you!

You are one of the very few I like learning from . and to watch you and your son doing things I only could wish lol
That absolutely looks like a blast. Good stuff.
Im digging the combat action patch on the roof.
I love Canyon Sin Nombre and Fish Creek. I used to 4 wheel down there with my brother and his friends when I was in high school. Oh ya, the weather got crazy! Thank you!

well narrated and loved the GPS cordinates on the video!
Very small word of advise...

I'm always all ears when it comes to recovery advise, thank you and I'll keep that in mind next time!!
Great advise! went back to minute 13:44 and it makes perfect sense what Kelly Proctor is saying! Thank you!
That is really good advice. Thanks for this
Me and my wife are planning to purchase a Rubicon 20018 next week. I am so excited to be able to travel all over the world with out new Jeep.
Awesome! Congrats on the soon to be new Jeep!
Here in Pennsylvania we do not have much offroading like this. Everything here is usually mudding. It would be cool to see this kind of terrain at some point. Great video cant wait for the next one.
Sounds like you need to make a round trip out West! Thank you!
I love these videos man I live in Temecula and go out to Borrego quite a bit one day I got to get my jeep lifted in and dialed in... be a dream trip
Ah, the jumping cactus 🌵. I had to yank three spines out of my finger and thumb while hiking through an area with cholla some years back. Glad to have my Gerber tool with me that day.
Just stumbled upon your channel and I’ve got to say I really love it! Keep up the great work.
Welcome to the channel and thank you!
So epic!
This overland videos are awesome Brad keep em coming👍👍
I really enjoy trips like this just as much as hitting a technical trail... its fun to be able to do both. Thank you!
I've been going out there in the mud caves for years. I first went out with my dad and friends in Indian guides when I was a little boy.
Haven't taken my Jeep out there tho, so that's something for me to do

Awesome video! I camp at that exact spot almost every time I head out to Anza!
Thank you! It's a great location, but there are so many hidden gems out there in the desert.
These mud caves are awesome ! Nice adventure
We love exploring them and one of these days I'd like to hunt down all 22. Thanks!
Awesome 👏

Hey Brad nice video! Man your video quality just keeps looking better and better!
Another great video, thanks Brad
Thank you!
Dude, hitting those sand slides on the way down... yeesh. Right where you geeked out looked like it would have been a cool place to camp too!
Ya, it's a little bit of an uneasy feeling sliding, down, but I guess because I've done it so many times it doesn't bother me anymore. The easy side is much more manageable. There are lots of great places to camp out there for sure!
Amazing video BTW!
Great video as usual Brad. I'm ready to get out there again this season, thanks for igniting my interest.
Heck ya, get out there and go have an adventure! Thank you!
Great video! I love watching Marco and all his vegan meals lol.
Looks like a great trip.
We had a blast and there is still more to come. Thanks!
I was at Rock Creek in Anza the same night as that storm. Craziest thunder that I have seen in years. Great video.
Ya man, that storm was nuts! Thank you!
Semplicemente meraviglioso,,,,luoghi stupendi,,,💪
That gate keeper might be easy unless you have a turtle back trailer like swell runner and life style overland did! 😂
Love all of these amazing channels!
LOL! Ya I watched their video... not recommended to take a trailer through there. Great guys the both of them!
Did you notice a rock with a little blood on it? 😏
@@rodwood693 lol that did look painful for Jason.
Brad...another great adventure. In preparation to get me a Jeep Overlander.
Great video Brad
Awesome trip, again :-)
It turned out to be an unforgettable 4 days! Thank you!
I love putting the GPS coordinates you give intp Google maps and checking the trail out in the 3D mode. This videos are great motivators to get me out and camping. You've got one of the best off-raod channels on UA-cam, keep it up.
Glad the coordinates are helpful. Thank you so much!
Great idea to add the GPS coordinates. Very helpful.
I didn't know he had a top and full doors for the truck jeep conversion. That's one of the best looking Jeeps I've ever seen.
Awesome video!
Thank you very much!
Brad, nice editing improvements! Those mud caves look amazing. If we make it down there sometime we’ll need you and Marco to give us a tour! Sandstone canyon looked amazing too.

I'm so jealous you are camping at Elephant Hill, something I'll be doing next time we get back there. Safe travels!
Sandwich, Sandwich, Wrap.... Pork Rinds 😂😂😂
My family (3 generations) comes from near Sedona. Beautiful country up there!
Love running around the desert, in a Jeep of course! lol
I love Sedona. I've been there several times and it never gets old!
Love your videos brother had to subscribe just by watching one video, i got a 92 wrangler and you inspired me to work on it and go on adventures like this, keep up the great videos you got my support
Welcome to the channel and thank you! A 92 Wrangler is a great project.
man your videos really got better!
Does Marco have a UA-cam where he teaches camp cooking? Marco is the star of your Videos.
Always enjoy
Your videos
In addition to your good morals
Thank you very much!
Wow you’re not kidding it looks like being on the lunar surface from here...... Great job again 👍🏼
What I like is that it doesn't feel like you are in a typical desert, the canyons just make everything so interesting. Thank you!
Seems you must be a good guy. You seem to always be with a crew I’d love to travel with.
Piggy pops are awesome and it's possible to survive a camping trip eating them.
Great video looks like a good time.
It was a great time with good friends! Thanks!
@@TrailRecon looks like it cant wait until the next video
Sandstone canyon is on our list for this fall of areas to explore. I've been out to fishcreek wash and the wind caves but not much further. Love the vids. Would love to meet up and drive with you guys.
Really enjoying your video adventures. They’re motivating me to finish my YJ and hit the trails. I’m pretty envious of your new top of the line Jeeps but I dig the old school basics of my YJ which was the last bastion of leaf spring jeeps.
Oh one thing, it’s driving me crazy. I’ve lived in San Diego the past 32 years, been to Anza Borrego many times and lived in the town of Anza for a few years also.
Anza is pronounced AN-ZA. Not AHN-ZA. We all use Gringo Spanish in our SoCal homeland English speaking world. AN AN ANZA!! Lol.
