Nice. I'm in Baja right now! This was my first trip down with a convoy(5 rigs) and could totally relate to the difficulties of keeping everyone rolling in the same direction.
Great video! Thank you for sharing your adventure!! My brother and I just got a 1943 Ford Willy fully operational and hit truckhaven on New Years. Looking forward to trips like yours!!
Awesome Video!! I've done the Baja 1,000 and was with the support/chase crew - but never in my own Jeep. After being there first hand, and then seeing your video, I'm definitely getting the itch to go out and do it again with my own rig and some great friends. Thanks for sharing Brad, keep the videos coming!!
What a cool experience to have been chase crew on the Baja 1000! I hope you can make it back out there, because cruising along the trail with some good friends is always a good time.
Just got my JK a couple weeks ago and your channel has really made me want to start building it for the trails and definitely Overland can’t wait to see more stuff hope I can find some great spots over here on the east coast
Aside from that tread issue, what is your feeling on the tires as a whole? Do they balance well, run true, warranty, etc..? Thanks for the great videos as usual.
Thank you! A bit of planning for a successful trip is required, but worth it! Recommend going with a great group of friends... that's what made this trip so special for me!
Nice trip, so happy you folks come to visit us in Baja. Another place I'd like to recommend you guys is San Pedro Martir, it's an observatory at Ensenada's mountain region. Although this is more a winter-oriented place, it's a good place to use those rigs. Excellent video journal I enjoyed a lot.
Weird you had a problem w/ the Guard Dogs. Do you know why? Wondering what Treadwright said about it. I have had my Guardian's for about 15k miles now and no issues at all. Do you air them down much? I go between 40 and 20 psi. Light offroading though, not what you do - yet... :-)
Yeah, I assumed that as well. Maybe a manufacturer's defect? Warrantied? I have aired my 35"s down to 20 and up to 40 and no problems yet. Took it offroad today in snow and mud and had no issues, they rock in the snow/ice and mud on my JKU! No complaints at all!
The Roadside Assistance guy has the right tools. A plastic wedge, a couple of air wedges, and a long reach tool would be an excellent addition to many Jeepers' stuff because you don't always get locked out in the middle of the city. It isn't hard. They are UA-cam videos showing how it gets done. The tools, especially the long reach tool, can be used for other things. Creativity (both before and during the trip) is part of Jeeping.
How does an ex military guy that comes out with a UA-cam channel, knows how to talk in front of a camera, knows how to edit, gets 240+k subs in under 2 years and creates broadcast quality videos without a full crew? Impressive! Beautiful adventure. Would you still recommend Baja given things have changed in the last year?
I live about 30 minutes away from Mexicali, Mexico, and you'll never catch me going into Baja California or any other part of Mexico. I think you're crazier than hell for going into any part of Mexico, but I'm glad your trip was safe.
Enjoying your videos so much. Here in Germany there´s no space to go off roading. Been two times in Australia and last year in Oman and had so much fun driving dirt roads. Next week we fly to Las Vegas and go with a Jeep Wrangler with roof top tent on tour exploring Arizona and Utah. So excited!
i camped at la bufa, it was bitter cold at night. i also got on to one of those old baja 1000 road and got stuck in the sand for 6 hours. two cars drove by me during that whole time, fun days in baja. dude i can relate to everything, even the key situation, but i had second set of keys
I m from baja i live in san diego this video remember me lots places you guys go thru i love camping and off roading but. I never been in the baja 1000 i hope i can go some time the main reason i never go is because i m a road driver cover the route california to north carolina back and forwade and every time baja 1000 events i m in the east coast, great video thanks for sharing👍
That's an awesome trip Brad! We go to Ensenada for vacation once in a while, that would be a blast going all the way to the gulf! Oh, that "Dead Man's System", we used to bury a spare tire in the sand to winch from.
Okie Rider hey. I was thinking of holding out for a JL. I got a JK because you can pick what you want, and I assumed the accessories will be much more affordable. In 2 years if not happy upgrade to a non first model year JL
TrailRecon hey, what about a CB/ham review or explaination of your setup. That I'm curious what it looks like what model you picked out and where you installed it
Im from mexico and i don’t know this place on my return to mexico im going there for sure is beautiful thanks for sharing this my fellow north americans
Wow what a fantastic bunch of people who enjoy their Jeeps and spending time with others :) It makes me very jealous that I am in the UK so even a JK is expensive. plus lift kits, accessories, fuel and other parts are expensive/ expensive to import. I wish you the very best on all your adventures! PS @10:16 the Toyota, does he have a channel/ website?
Bummed to see the trouble with the tires. I run the same brand, although a different tread pattern, and I have had great luck with them. They didn't need any weight to balance out and have been holding up great through a couple wheeling trips so far, including many of the black trails at Rausch Creek. One of the XJ's at KOH ran the same tires and had great success with them as well.
Awesome video! Just a side comment about using Ham radios... Being a ham myself even before getting into Jeeps, I've been an advocate for getting others into ham for their offroad adventures. Thanks for the fantastic trip review!
Great great video! Loved it, and the filming was awesome. If you guys do another trip in 2018, Ill definitely want to go! Ill be moving to San Diego in March. Can't wait to see the rest of it!
Last time I visited La Bufadora, there was a huge touristy place with gift shops, etc. Did you actually get over to see the blow hole? The scenery you showed was beautiful, but I did not see the "main event". Great videos - keep 'em coming!
I LOVE that kayak. And I love your vids. I just bought a Jeep JL and am hoping to get into some offroading, I'd like to earn a few Badges of Honor. Subscribed.

Locking keys in the Jeep is never fun. The I did it once on the trail and luckily someone in my group had torques. We had the door off the hinge within a few minutes and were back on the trail. Nice video.
I was seriously thinking about removing the hinge, but the road side assistant guy was able to get in pretty quick... a little too quick actually. LOL!
Welcome to Baja California, and thank you for the gentle way that you explain it, greetings from Mexicali... Saludos!!
Wow, horse in back of pickup going down the road. Love it!!
Sorry to hear about your tire. I have Treadwright Mud Claw IIs too. Great video (as always)! I really like hearing your stories and experiences! 👊🤘

Awesome! Beautiful scenery and some great rigs! Thanks from an old USAF puke!
The scenery exceeded my expectations, so amazing. Thank you for your service!
You too for your service!
TDS is on my calendar and looking forward to it! If not then perhaps one of the local meet and greets in Santee.
Outstanding guys!! I GO TO BAJA every year!! GOTTA LOVE IT!!
Good thing yall arnt in Baja this weekend as Hurricane Hilary heads to San Diego, should be a ton of mud in the SoCal desert from the storm.
Beautiful footage. Go BFG!! Seriously. It’s worth the cash. Best tires on earth.
MTs yes, ATs hard pass!
Nice! We took our JK to the Baja 1000 several years ago and camped on the beach. Also camped out by La Bufadora on a separate trip. Ironic!
That's awesome! I'm excited to go back. Do you have a favorite spot in Baja?
Great video! Thank you for sharing your adventure!! My brother and I just got a 1943 Ford Willy fully operational and hit truckhaven on New Years. Looking forward to trips like yours!!
Wow, a 43 Willys sounds like an awesome rig.... I'm a classic car guy at heart!
Awesome Video!! I've done the Baja 1,000 and was with the support/chase crew - but never in my own Jeep. After being there first hand, and then seeing your video, I'm definitely getting the itch to go out and do it again with my own rig and some great friends. "Convince the caretaker" 💰 💰 💰 😂
Oh man looks like you all had a ton of fun! Sorry to hear about your tire.. But hey, now you've got 37's!
Just got my JK a couple weeks ago and your channel has really made me want to start building it for the trails and definitely Overland can’t wait to see more stuff hope I can find some great spots over here on the east coast
Tanks for this great video and for focusing on all the positive things that Baja has to offer
Thank you! I love it down in Baja!
Beautiful video! Treadwrong tires, never again I hope.....
Thank you! I've got some new tires on the way!
Aside from that tread issue, what is your feeling on the tires as a whole? Do they balance well, run true, warranty, etc..? Thanks for the great videos as usual.
wow awesome, looks like a lot of fun, love that kayak, great video guys.
Thanks Brad!! Video was awesome and the info was great, thanks for sharing. Need to start planning a Baja adventure.
Thank you! A bit of planning for a successful trip is required, but worth it! Recommend going with a great group of friends... that's what made this trip so special for me!

Excellent video journal I enjoyed a lot.
Looks like a great time. Sucks about your tire. Glad you all made it back safe.
It was truly a great time and no issues at all with safety, I don't think there was ever a time we felt on edge about anything. Thank you!
Chip Mautz He recently got them. I'm assuming he didn't air them down when this occurred due to him just crossing the border.
This looks like so much fun! i'd love to go down there and explore! very cool video brad!
Thank you sir!

Another great and exiting adventure. Love it! What an inspiration.

that reminds me of composition writing in primary school. 'WHAT AN ADVENTURE.'
Great video, like you said awesome to be on the Baja 1000.
Thank you!

I live about 30 minutes away from Mexicali, Mexico, and you'll never catch me going into Baja California or any other part of Mexico. I think you're crazier than hell for going into any part of Mexico, but I'm glad your trip was safe.
Dude , it’s like an off-road bucket list of things to do in your vids even getting the burrito shits in Mexico ....lol awesome
I really enjoy sharing my experience, glad you enjoy them! No digestive issues this trip!!
Nice Video!!!!!
I love them every time I see them!!!
But I am wondering what "cheap tires" you are driving??
Lose tire tread???
Thank you! In reference to the tires, I will just say that I have new tires on order and I won't be using this brand anymore.
So glad I found this channel, love all the content and time, effort put into each of these videos. Can't wait to get my own Tj .
So excited!

Fantastic video Brad, So jealous, the temp here hovered around 3deg today and I was driving in white out conditions.
Oh man, that's cold! I have to make a trip to Maine soon for work and not looking forward to the temp!
That's an awesome trip Brad! We go to Ensenada for vacation once in a while, that would be a blast going all the way to the gulf! Oh, that "Dead Man's System", we used to bury a spare tire in the sand to winch from.
OK it's time to talk to Marco about doing some tag a long tours. I'd sign up. Thanks again for anther great video.
Marco is the man! Always a great time when Im out with him. Thanks!
How many subs do you need to quit your job and do Jeep vids full time?
LOL! A lot more! But man, how fun would it be to do this full time.
TrailRecon oh frick, with the price of jeep mods...
Okie Rider hey. I was thinking of holding out for a JL. I got a JK because you can pick what you want, and I assumed the accessories will be much more affordable. In 2 years if not happy upgrade to a non first model year JL

Did you contact Treadwright about the Tire Brad?
Wow what a fantastic bunch of people who enjoy their Jeeps and spending time with others :) It makes me very jealous that I am in the UK so even a JK is expensive. plus lift kits, accessories, fuel and other parts are expensive/ expensive to import. I wish you the very best on all your adventures!

Awesome video. i enjoyed your video by watching. It looks like I was driving with you guys. Tqu

I've got a lot of stuff on my upper 48 as well, but couldn't turn down this opportunity! Thank you!
Well, you do have easy access to the part of the world. I'm on the eastern side of things.
Great trip, thanks for sharing all the good info. I hope you contact the tire company and let them know about the tread separation issue.
One day I hope to make a trip to Baja. Thanks for sharing.
It's worth the planning and effort to make it down there, you'll love it!
Really nice seeing a mix of rigs instead of just Jeeps.
So good Brad !! I’m ready to go back when are we leaving !!
You know I'm in!
We are in Cabo San Jose right now and will be cruising around Baja for a couple months, so hit us up if your coming back anytime soon :)

TrailRecon Thank You Brother! Anytime !
OVRLNDX Para la proxima inviten jaja
Greetings from Ensenada, you have a suscriber down here in Ensenada, Baja California.
By the way good choice on Primo Nava, here are a lot of good places to eat and Primo Nava is one of the good ones
Last time I visited La Bufadora, there was a huge touristy place with gift shops, etc. Did you actually get over to see the blow hole? The scenery you showed was beautiful, but I did not see the "main event". Great videos - keep 'em coming!
Yup I plan to retire down in BAJA!
Should of stuck with the stt pros. Love the vids!
New tires on the way! Thanks!
Great video really enjoyed it!!
Awesome, so glad you did!
So jealous... as always, great video. Keep it up✌
So cool. love your passion.
Thanks, it's easy to be passionate about and epic adventure like this!
Great video! Good size crew as well
Awesome vid, Brad! Thanks!
Thank you!
I LOVE that kayak. And I love your vids. I just bought a Jeep JL and am hoping to get into some offroading, I'd like to earn a few Badges of Honor.
Subscribed.
Thank you and welcome to the channel! There are some amazing badge of honor trails out there!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I would love to see a video on how you make and capture some of this great footage.
Thanks! A lot of running around and luck! LOL!
Man i'm from Mexicali which is the Capital from Baja California and i've never been in the baja 1000 trail, nice you had the opportunity to floor your rig there, you should take a look to San Luis Gonzaga Bay and also the San Pedro Martir Observatory
Will have to add those destination to our next trip!
You should do the Norra 1000 or 500 in the Safari class. It’s for normal rigs (no race trucks) and it’s basically the tour version of the Baja 1000
Crazy how big trucks have gotten, that white tundra looks smaller than the new tacomas!
Great video, Brad! I can't believe you are up to 45K, I think there were only a few thousand...maybe less when I subscribed. Trip looks amazing, thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I'm so thankful for all the subscriber support... keeps me motivated!
LOL!
