Quit feeling guilty about your own setup. Don't have to be always better than others... your setup is great ! have fun ! thanks for the channel, I love it. Be proud of yourself, because what you do is awesome.
I happen to like the fact that your Jeep seems like it could be used day to day, in addition to overlanding. For newcomers it could be pretty overwhelming trying to figure out everything you need when you see these completely built out rigs. Great video!
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Leonard Cody I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I like ALL of the Jeep mods! Any changes that enhance your enjoyment of excursions is a good mod. My brother lives in Lake Arrowhead and the hiking trails are incredible. I miss the San Bernardino Mountains.
Brad, I'm not an overlander. I kayak camp occasionally. I stumbled on your channel a week or two ago and I find what you guys are doing fascinating. Here is what I like best about your channel...you answer a lot of questions from people who are enthusiasts. Good on ya.
This was an AWESOME video!!!!!!!!!!! Shows what everyone is actually using and some of the choices that you can have depending on what you do the most.
In my 04 TJ I'd take out the back bench and replace it with a plastic bin to hold gear, spare parts, tools, etc. Then I'd bring a cooler with ice to hold water bottles and lunch. My trail rides were only one day at most so no camping gear. But when I get my jl 2dr I plan to do some camping. My friend has a JK 4 door and we plan to do trails and also research some camping gear and tents. This was a great vid! thanks
Awesome. Loved the Video. I am planning a road life and love the idea of converting an ambulance. But...my first 'car' was a '78 CJ 7 304 v8 Levi (Jeans) Edition. I LOVED that JEEP. So, I am determining whether I want to do the 4x4 Ambulance or Jeep Full Time conversion. This video was, even though it is camping vs Full Time, still extremely helpful. Thank You!
Talking about removing seats, I have removed my rear seats out of my jku, but also removed the passenger and turned it into a dog platform which keep my pup comfortable when on trips, creating even more space underneath the platform itself, and it even triples as an in Jeep sleeping space!
Though you posted 2 years ago know this video is inspiring! Just got my jeep yesterday we are bare minimum at this point nothing in it so far. I found your video perfect because my hubby who is a super nerd and my self who takes comfort in gadgets is super stoked to add to our jeep. Looking forward to hard core camping again! Thank you for the tips I have shared this vid with the hubby, I also hit the subscribe button and will be referring to your vids quite often. Tell your crew amazing layouts and gear for their rigs, keep up the positive inspiration! much
Took a TJ out for a test drive today (first time driving a Jeep) & I am HOOKED to say the least. I cannot wait to get out and hit the trails. Totally dig the ideas I’m getting here. I’ll be broke in no time..
Brad I just started following you after watching a video you recorded in Colorado last. Since moving to Florrisant Colorado last year from San Diego California I brought our stock 2014 Jeep Wrangler and really appreciate all the gear and upgrades you guys have done. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
I have not posted any pics on instagram yet, we have 2.5 large breed dogs as kids who camp with us. I recently took the seats out of the back, too many issues for dogs to mention with it folded down. But I built a flat spot where the seat used to be, similar to the goose gear stuff. Since I know you build stuff yourself, it is an easy build. Not taking away from goose gear, their stuff is awesome, I just can't afford it. I do have the vector offload mount. Fun way to carry stuff, GPS Phone, etc. That tent that folds downside the hard top, really intrigues me, that is a good looking way to make the jeep a good camper with out giving up the drivability into the garage. I have a friend who had to take his roof rack off because he can't park his jeep or anything in the driveway overnight. (HOA) but that is a nice option for folks who may have that problem. I love Markos, pressurized water set up, that is cool. I get taking out the rear seat, I have been debating it for over a year now, Bam, I love that its gone. IN the past year, not one person has ridden in the back, good enough for me to realize, I don't need it. it gives you so much more useable room taking it out. Thanks for sharing my friend and have a blessed week. Dale
Love the walkthroughs... went camping with my 7 yr old son for the first time this past weekend, straight up simple tent. Was the 1st of many more hopefully, and from this point I’m gonna build on to an overland set like the ones in you vid... keep the vids coming, so helpful for direction in my build!!!!
Love all of your vids you post! RL has kept me from enjoying the off road lifestyle for too long and am looking forward to enjoying it again. The information you provide has greatly shortened the leaning curve for me to catch up to what is current and what was not possible when I previously enjoyed getting away from the day-to-day rat race. Thank you so very much! P.S. Our parents had a good choice in naming their sons.....
Hey Brad. I am in the same boat regarding the rear seats. I think what I will try to do for my setup is a plywood plate in the very back, with the fridge on the one side and a cabinet on the other. Then I'm thinking of putting in a notch of some kind on the side towards the rear seats so I can have a removable plate that will sit on top of the rear seats when folded. I'm a fan of sleeping in my Jeep as I'm RTTless right now.
Thank you so much for all your amazing videos. They are both inspirational and idea driven for folks like me who want to do some customization but not go all-out. Thank you.
You can use the 4 inch PVC pipe as a water container and you can mount on top of your Jeep down down the side of the roof rack if you paint it black it will heat the water and you can put Tire valve on it pressure into it look it up on UA-cam is a bunch of videos
Thanks for sharing. Nice to see what can be done. You guys put my little 2-door JK to shame. But it is all that I can afford and I really like it. Your videos are just a pleasure to watch. This is why I subscribed a long time ago.
Thanks! You don't need all this stuff to have a great time out on the trail, just the basics are all you really need. I've seen some really nice setup 2 doors that are very budget friendly and functional.
No shame in not being able to afford that stuff! I can only afford an XJ at the moment but I love taking it out and working with what I have to get outside and on the trails. Like Brad said, all you really need are the basics
I have a 4 door JK with the root top tent and fridge on a slider in the back, the Terraflex cargo shelf, all the stuff. But I miss my 2012 2 door JK Rubicon. It was so nimble and easy to off road with compared to my 2016 JKU Rubicon I have now. It used to be just me and my dog and my little Jeep and we went everywhere. A ground tent wasn't comfortable, but it was small and easy. I didn't have the fancy fridge but my sandwich fixings were awesome at the time. I guess I mostly just miss my dog. Shit...I had a point here but now I just miss my dog.
Wow! Just found you. Great site!!! I have a 2009 Rubicon and am looking for places in Minnesota to ride. Nothing worthy yet, but I am discovering more the farther I go out from Mpls. Keep up the fun reporting! I love it. Dave.
Another hit Brad, I love seeing what others are doing for utility and gear for camping out of their Jeeps. I have a 2 door so my space is even more limited. I really want to build an off road trailer with a RTT, my stays are usually more than just overnight so base camp and the jeep unencumbered to go exploring during the day and back to base camp for the night. Keep them coming man, enjoying the content.
I love the channel overall, period. But as someone who does a lot of research before making a purchase, the reviews of the camp set-ups has been awesome. I am looking to purchase a roof mounted tent for the Jeep Jamborees in 2025, and have gotten so much out of this channel in that regard.
Do you ever see any XJs in your overlanding groups? I see a lot of JKUs but it might be interesting to get a rig walkthrough of an XJ if you get the chance.
We had similar reroute 2 weekends ago. Went up 395 to fish bishop and it was 108 outside. Made a last minute adjustment and found the last available site at Sherwin Creek in Mammoth where it was 85 degrees
Brad, you can build a platform for your fridge but make the platform 3-4" higher so you can still access the bottom storage area. Should have enough room for your fridge before making contact to your vector platform. Plus you can easily get a foldable table size to fit under the platform. I just finished building mine and looking to build the fridge slide next. Cheers and thanks for sharing this vid. Other than Marco's Jeep setup (which is beyond awesome), I like the idea of the third Jeep with that platform conversion into a table:)
The orange bag brand is [ortleeb] 😉. Great channel btw. Live in Sweden and we dont have half of what you guys do tentwise 😔, well, love watching your stuff
As a hiker, I have zero interest off-road. However, I have tons of interest in the camping setups. In 3 weeks, I am attending a hikers gathering where we base camp for a few days. I would love a Jeep camp setup.
I think you should do what the first jeep has with some play wood and line x for 3 reasons: 1- you will have a lot more space 2- you will same some money 3-you can customize it to your needs
This was a great video. It is a lot of fun setting up your own system and it is great to get ideas. It is cool how they are all so unique, well, except for the table on the tailgate. Thanks for showing us all of these! I need to go buy a table now.
Hey Brad I want on Amazon I'm up over $1,000 now I'm getting to the $2,000 mark wow this is really cool but I can't get that little refrigerator it's discontinued I love that refrigerator you have you keep all your vegetables nice and cool are they stop making it or something Amazon's not supporting it
Awesome site. I've been following britelite and trail recon for awhile now. I just subscribed, just realized I hadn't, I'd watch 1 vidio then another ect. So now I'm subscribed. Great site with valuable info. I just got a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4 l automatic ( Im a disabled retired LEO and Veteran age 64 so had to get the auto) and it has 64k original miles, 33 inch tires, bbk 62 mm throttle body, 410 gearing and the only rust underneath was the exhaust. I'm going to get a stainless steel Banks header, magnaflow stainless y connect with free flow cat and a Banks monster cat back stainless steel exhaust. Also the Banks ram air induction. If I saw yours and Britelite I would have got the JL. But I'm going to set this up first and may just keep it. This is my 64th vehicle first Jeep and 6th 4x4 . I've had 16 motorcycles, the last 3 strikes and 1 sidecar set up before the trikes. My Trike is in garage and will be sold soon. It's difficult to strap a Walker on a trike. It was time to go back to 4 wheels and definately a convertible. Happy trails. If you come to the Daytona Bch rally I might just be there. Again great site thanks
I'd love to know more about the interior rear shelf of that first rig. I like that it's elevated. I adventure with dog a lot and I'll love to work out a higher shelf like that so she can walk right out the back without hunkering down.
I loved this video! I also, probably like most people, love to see what others are doing to organize their stuff and make life easier on the trail. So thank you for sharing this and do more of these types of videos whenever the chance arises! I love seeing all the options and products!
Hi Brad liking the videos mate I just thought I should say about those roto packs next to your fridge mate I’d leave a bit more room to let your fridge breath. Having stuff so close to it would be using more power as your fridge can’t breath and u run the risk of cooking your fridge 👍🏼
I like it all!! HOWEVER, think about this. Make your own from click to bang. I think that you could make a great system yourself and have a great few vids from the process of constructing it. All you need is to get together with some folks with the skills needed and your ideas. After all, just buying market stuff is so run of the mill, isnt it? Love your vids. From Victoria, BC, Ciao
Miss the old days..... Keep Jesus first in your life, thank you for ALLOWING us to tag along. GOD Bless you brother!!!
Quit feeling guilty about your own setup. Don't have to be always better than others... your setup is great ! have fun ! thanks for the channel, I love it. Be proud of yourself, because what you do is awesome.
Wow! So many options! I’m glad you took us around to all the set ups your friends use (I’m also really glad they were cool with it). Thanks!!!
I happen to like the fact that your Jeep seems like it could be used day to day, in addition to overlanding. For newcomers it could be pretty overwhelming trying to figure out everything you need when you see these completely built out rigs. Great video!

@Leonard Cody I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out now.

@Leonard Cody It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my account!
@Travis Declan Glad I could help =)
I like ALL of the Jeep mods! Any changes that enhance your enjoyment of excursions is a good mod. My brother lives in Lake Arrowhead and the hiking trails are incredible. I miss the San Bernardino Mountains.
Although i don't have that kind of hobby but watching living your dreams for me is fulfilling and i enjoyed it too much! be safe everyone.
Good idea to share. We can pick up ideas that we like, and pass on those that we don't. Thank you.
You do everything I would dream of doing too my Jeep, I'm Soo googly eyes over your set up

I love that orange tent ! It’s big , it looks cool, and it’s orange !!
How can 29 people dislike this video. They're just jealous of these guys. Thank you for the video.
Can't please everyone! Thanks!
I don’t even have a jeep but my dream car is a jeep
I can't be the only guy overlanding a 2 door JK. I'd love to see others!
We use pvc pipe for water for our dogs and yes we drink it too lol so many cool uses
My vote goes to Jeep #3, nice setup. Enough stuff but not too much.
I like how the tent has an opening to the jeep. That way you can regulate the tent temperature with the jeeps heater/ac
Took a TJ out for a test drive today (first time driving a Jeep) & I am HOOKED to say the least. I cannot wait to get out and hit the trails. Totally dig the ideas I’m getting here. I’ll be broke in no time..

That Ursa Minor tent looks like a great system so I checked it out. Holy shizz! $7,000 to $14,000 for a pop-up tent is just mind boggling!
I thought the same thing
yeah. wow. I was really considering it until I saw the price. long term, maybe
Yeah there isn't even 2k in materials and labor in them. But overlanding is kind of a niche hobby and people are willing to spend the money.
I would l8ve the Ursa but again not in my price range.
I thought I'd watched all your videos but missed this one. Great job! Wow, that's a serious sized coffee mug Brad. Good to watch in these scary times.
Love all of your vids you post! RL has kept me from enjoying the off road lifestyle for too long and am looking forward to enjoying it again. DAMN IT! Now, I have to make some changes, AGAIN, to my rig, Thanks Brad for the great video/inspiration.
haha!! Cappy!! go for it!
Your addicted it’s never going to be enough
I have to say thank you for sharing this video. I am a newcomer to camping with my jeep and this was very educational.
Really glad you found it informative, thank you!
Great video. So helpful. Really enjoy your channel!
Why is my heart beating fast watching this? Man!
This channel is exactly what I was looking for. Just great content. Subscribed!
I went the cheap route and made my own version of the goose gear plate and cubby system. Came out great.
NY here. You are living the dream my man. Awesome video!
Great video! Got inspired... the best videos are just randomly walking around and explaining!!
Thank you so much for all your amazing videos. They are both inspirational and idea driven for folks like me who want to do some customization but not go all-out. Thank you.

Some great ideas I like to explore with my Jeep. Thanks TR!
Excellent video, great ideas. Goose gear and Ursa minor.
You're right... it was really cool of you to show us these rig setups!
man those Ursa tents look pretty awesome
Awesome setups. Great looking, and functioning, vehicles.
Thanks for sharing. Nice to see what can be done. You guys put my little 2-door JK to shame. But it is all that I can afford and I really like it. Your videos are just a pleasure to watch. This is why I subscribed a long time ago.

Awesome video man just got my wrangler couple months ago and im super excited to get her all the camping gear!!
Congrats on the new Jeep!
Great setups... Always nice to see some diy stuff
Very Cool, I dig the “off the cuff” clip, Keep Up The Fire & Live-Life-Loud!!!
Hey love from india ! Just love your videos! Keep camping 🏕
Wow! Just found you. Great site!!! I have a 2009 Rubicon and am looking for places in Minnesota to ride. Nothing worthy yet, but I am discovering more the farther I go out from Mpls.
Keep up the fun reporting! I love it. Dave.
Welcome to the channel and thank you!
Great video, i was busy writing ideas down and am pumped to investigate some ideas you gave me. Thank you!
Thank you! Glad it was helpful for you.
I love seeing other people’s set ups 👍👍
Kids all grown have couple poodles that I like to travel with but I want to work out a plan for overland idea with dogs
Cool jeeps, i liked the one with the round type awning.
I love the channel overall, period. But as someone who does a lot of research before making a purchase, the reviews of the camp set-ups has been awesome. I am looking to purchase a roof mounted tent for the Jeep Jamborees in 2025, and have gotten so much out of this channel in that regard.
Would've loved to be a member of this group. You guys have it made :-) Awesome.
No group, just through out an invite to a few local instagram guys and off went.
Great video!!! Love these walk arounds, whether the owner talks or not. Great video quality too.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you ever see any XJs in your overlanding groups? I see a lot of JKUs but it might be interesting to get a rig walkthrough of an XJ if you get the chance.
The third seat is very cool.
We had similar reroute 2 weekends ago. Went up 395 to fish bishop and it was 108 outside. Made a last minute adjustment and found the last available site at Sherwin Creek in Mammoth where it was 85 degrees
Mais um excelente vídeo, já estou fazendo minhas aventuras aqui no Brasil com o meu jeep wilys cj5 1969.
Thank you... Very informative. Great Video. Shout out from British Columbia, Canada
Great suggestion, sounds like a nice setup.
I think you should do what the first jeep has with some play wood and line x for 3 reasons:
1- you will have a lot more space
2- you will same some money
3-you can customize it to your needs
Its been less than a week since i found your channel and i am amazed, i need my very own jeep, nice work....
Welcome and glad you are enjoying the content!
I went to julian last sunday and got a pie as well. The best part of any jeep is the patches
Gotta get pie when in Julian!
I’m not sure if you’ve done a review of what you carry in your first aid kit, but I think that would be pretty cool!
Hey Brad! Thanks for all your awesome videos. I’m doing the Dusey Ershim trail next week. So this video was very helpful.
So many great tricks, thanks so much for posting this!
Wish I had something like this when I went to Lake Isabella earlier this month. 🙌🏻
This was a great video. It is a lot of fun setting up your own system and it is great to get ideas. It is cool how they are all so unique, well, except for the table on the tailgate. Thanks for showing us all of these! I need to go buy a table now.
I love spending hours looking at other people Jeeps, Toyotas, Land Cruisers, whatever.... you never know what inspiring idea you will come across.
Hey Brad I want on Amazon I'm up over $1,000 now I'm getting to the $2,000 mark wow this is really cool but I can't get that little refrigerator it's discontinued I love that refrigerator you have you keep all your vegetables nice and cool are they stop making it or something Amazon's not supporting it
Heck yeah! Beautiful rigs.
You can say that again! These guys have put a lot of working into building some awesome overland jeeps!
It was time to go back to 4 wheels and definately a convertible. Happy trails. If you come to the Daytona Bch rally I might just be there. Again great site thanks
Can you use the overlander tent with a soft top jeep? Wondering if I should go to hardtop because I want a top of the jeep tents . Love them.
So many awesome ideas for our Jeep and overland adventuress
I love nosing around other folks vehicles to see what they've done... always some good ideas out there that I haven't thought of.
The cooking stove setup was unusual. Share a little more on that.
I did the goose gear 60% and love it still have 3 seats and a 100% flat sleeping platform with storage underneath.
So jealous, I want to camp with Marco!
Great setups. Each one had some ideas worth stealing.
Hi Brad liking the videos mate I just thought I should say about those roto packs next to your fridge mate I’d leave a bit more room to let your fridge breath. Having stuff so close to it would be using more power as your fridge can’t breath and u run the risk of cooking your fridge 👍🏼
You are absolutely correct, that's something I need to sort out. Thank you!
Love seeing the differences in each set up! Going to get a tailgate table for sure.
You are a girl jeep
Great video... would prefer to see 2 door jeeps tricked out like these were
So sweet, I love all these rigs. Gets me motivated and excited about building my rig!
I was motivated after getting up and close with them... so cool!
Brad your not doing my credit card any good. So many awesome ideas. I really wanting to start working on my '16 Rubi.
Videos like this are not good for the pocket book :-)
ive had man goals and dreams in my life...now for some reason all my wants and needs are focused on getting a jeep and getting it overland ready...

I like it all!!
HOWEVER, think about this.

I think that you could make a great system yourself and have a great few vids from the process of constructing it. All you need is to get together with some folks with the skills needed and your ideas. After all, just buying market stuff is so run of the mill, isnt it?
Love your vids.
