Hej Todderbert, thanks for the band scans with the C. Crane CC Pocket Radio. I don't have a C. Crane radio yet, but one C. Crane radio I'm very interested in is the new C. Crane Solar emergency radio, now also with Bluetooth, which I personally like. So that radio is also on my radio buy list. Take care, Todderbert, and have a nice day! 😂
I got myself the sangean that is similar. And i actually prefer it. The volume wheel is much stiffer and there is little to no chance of it getting changed when its in your front shirt pocket or something. Neither of them have great internal speaker sound but. The ccrane i had was great for vocals. But mine did have that hiss, so it went back. Maybe ill pick up one of these new model ones. But i dont think i really need it since the sangean suits me just fine.
@@mscir I use the dt-200x, its roughly the same size. Its AM reception isnt very good in my area. But its great for fm, pulling in stations way out from me. I just like that the volume wheel has some resistance to it. The internal speaker is still lacking on both of these compared to bigger ones like the sr-35. But those 2 are more about pocketing while using.
I´m not too sure if I like the new backlight. With modern ( say... since 1990´s ) LCD screens you only need a backlight when it´s *dark* when you use this radio. Old backlight seems to be perfectly fine to be readable in dark surroundings. New backlight will *blind* you in the darkness. It´s a Generation Z thing... "Oooh, we have a backlight? Make it stick out in bright sunlight! MOAR! Super-bright! Effing-Lazer-brite backlight! I command you, cuz I have all those clues!" Hopefully when C.Crane gets too many complaints they will ditch Gen Z developers and ask Boomers if they will think again about retirement.
Question: why are FM radios still manufactured if we're still going to switch to dab+? What do we do with fm radios? Do we throw them away? Is it better not to buy an fm radio?

I have a 1966 AM radio that my grandfather bought for me at a Sunoco gas station. This CC is a little more sophisticated. 🤣
nice radio, however I like the old screen lighting better.

@@HeartInLight Thanks very much.
I find the minimum volume on the CC buds is a bit loud.

A CC Radio NOT picking up WKZO 590 AM? That is sad!
